Hi folks, with SP1b and now also with SP1c the FSX enervatingly crashes after 80% of the 737 NGX flights, means it hangs (only the top left quarter is visible, but content is partially missing) in the lower right corner, and I have to terminate it via the task manager. (If and only if the exit window shows up 1. Why is that? What can I do? My machine is an Intel® Core™ i5-2500 CPU @3.30 3.30 GHz with 16GB RAM, Windows 7 64bit, AMD Radeon HD6900. 2. Looking in the forum before posting I find via the Google site search in top right corner e.g. the following link below, but to now avail, since I get 404 Not found. Obviously the discussion is too old. ==== FSX …

I'm a novice at all of this but enjoy it thoroughly especially with the new PMDG NGX. I'm not experiencing obvious frame rate issues but I am having FSX freeze up during flight and Windows forcing the program to close down. I have a relatively old CPU (Intel Core 2 2.4 Ghz with 6GB DDR, NVidea 8800GTS, Windows7 64 bit). I'm trying to run the NGX with REX, UT2, FS2 Crew, Radar Contact, Accu-Feel and some Orbx and Extreme scenery. So my questions are: I assume the FSX freeze ups are due to high CPU usage rather than any software compatibility issues? If I need to upgrade my CPU, what would be your recommendations regarding configuration? I'd rather not go the gaming …

I installed SP1c yesterday and when I restarted it prompted me to save my liveries and I said yes. When I read the install it did ask if I wanted to save the liveries to back them up but I figured I would just download new ones. Now when I try to install them the installer says that I already have them and will not install. They are not there. Please help. Thanks, Ron

Ryan: first many thanks for your help with my account. I appreciate your quick response. Second, my PMDG 737NGX is running perfectly with one exception. My HGS swings into and out of position without a problem, but the screen is not populated with anything at all. NO symbols ever, no lines,no nothing I believe, but cannot be certain that I have done all required in setting the HGS up correctly. Is there some control separate from the HGS input device for 'connecting' the device. I have Cleared and re-Cleared to no avail. Am I missing a dll or exe or is it just finger trouble.

Hello there everyone, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to share which tweaks you have done to you FSX.CFG in order to enhance your fsx performance. I know I'm probably going to get a reply saying "this has nothing to do with the ngx" but I thought it's better to ask this question here as to run the ngx you have to have a pretty good system, thus the settings people have applied to their CFG should be applicable to my CFG. I'm just curious as I noticed I have good fps but I have stutters. And I'm not sure what tweaks to apply, whether or not to apply the Bjote tweak (I have my cfg tweaked this way at the minute) I've also heard about bufferpools …

I have been flying the NGX since release and this is the first time i have ever had an issue with it. I do have SP1C installed latest AIRNAC file and FS2crew SP1 installed.... I configure the aircraft for take-off as i always do W/B are within limits trim set for take-off. I advance the throttles advance through V1 at VR i rotate. That's when all hell breaks loose the aircraft does a back flip and spins out of control violently on all axis ... for about 15-30 sec and then hits the ground crashing???? no matter how many times i restart it still continues to happen..

After hearing the news about the new heavies coming from PMDG I have decided to get us many medium/short haul flights in with the NGX as I can. For these flights I am using a flow checklist provided by a user here on the Avsim forums (Forgotten his name and cant link as all forum links seem to not be working) Anyway a couple of things I wasn't sure on was when to start running the clock. The checklist states that it should be run when entering the runway but I had always done it as pushback commenced. This links in with another question which is that if I get the times of a real world flight off the airline website are these times gate to gate or takeoff to landing? I…

Hi, I have the NGX installed on my principal desktop, which is used by me only to fly with FSX. I tried to install the NGX also on my laptop, which I use to prepare repaints. I wanted this so that I can see easily the results of my painting without transfer continously the files from the laptop to the desktop. Unfortunately during the activation a message said that my activation code is not valid. Could this due to the fact that I have the NGX installed on the other computer? Is it possible to have this double installation only for repainting purposes? Thanks

Here is my problem. We'll see if anyone can answer this one, if you do you will get a free ride in my 737. I am trying to build an approach that is not in the database. My fixes are: ALEUT 200/4100A EYUYO 160/2500 AFPIV 145/2500 USUHU 145/1900 Discontinuity ALEUT (I cant put a constraint in here, why?) First off in descending order ALEUT is an IAF, EYUYO,AFPIV are intermediate fixes and USUHU is the missed approach fix and AFPIV is also the missed approach hold point. Every time I try and put a constraint into the hold point it says ALTITUDE CONSTRAINT EYUYO in the scratchpad. I cant even do it with the hold page. What is the reason for this? EYUY…

Occasionally when I begin my takeoff roll the autothrottle will disconnect when I select TOGA. I follow the same procedure each time i.e. establish 40% N1, select TOGA. When it happens I just rearm it and continue but I would like to know what I'm doing wrong.

Hey, first i want to say how glad i am with the fs2crew for the NGX, they did a very great job! it can be very useful when i fly alone. however when i am flying with my friend i would like to keep the pushback option, is that possible? also, when i am using fs2crew for more realistic feeling can i download a track or use a program that will simulate the track and the ground crew when pushing back? one last thing, can i use it with fsdt gsx? thanks for the help in advance! Daniel. mistakenly posted twice, sorry about that you can delete one(: i don't know how.

I was wandering how realistic the autobrakes were in the NGX? Although it is not documented the auto brakes, depending on level set, acts in different ways, which is not just how much they kick in ;). On autobrakes 2, the braking works at the 100knots and below mark, not above. So a smooth touch down with spoilers and idle reverse is common and then the brakes kick in at 100knots. On autobrakes 3, the braking kicks in immediately. Ryanair pilots commonly use 3 the most, and go to manual braking at 100knots. I read a post by Robert last year and from what I can remember [don't quote me on this] I think he said that reverse thrust has no effect on the sto…
