Hello guys,I need some advice as I am a little confused on the range of the ngx. For example there are real life flights that use the 800 versions over 3000 nautical miles, swiss air flies from newark to zurich on a 737 800. Are these special modified versions? or can the NGX 800 series really fly 3400 nautical miles?if not what is the realistic range of the 800 and 900 series? with a full passenger load and fully fueled...thanks!

Hi! First I like to apologize my bad english!So my problem is this:I start a flight, let's say from LPMA to EDDF. I start from CLD AND DRK (as always) and i do all the preflight procedures correctly but when it's time to do some performance calculations with TOPCAT, i ran into a strange problem. TOPCAT seems to calculate TO-Rate correctly only, when i set Altimeter to 29.92 inHg from TOPCAT's Take-Off menu. QNH is set correctly at the cockpit but if i dont use value 29.92 inHg or 1013 hPa at TOPCAT's "Conditions", the calculated N1 doesn't match with the value that NGX had calculated. Good morning, I recently had to do a re-install of my NGX due to a hard drive crash. On my first test flight, I noticed that the NGX seems to constantly seek the RNAV track. It overshoots it then recorrects and overshoots it again. While it is not huge, it is very annoying especially since it did not do it before. Nothing has changed as far as my equipment. Here is some of my info: PMDG 737-800 NGX with SP update FSX with SP 1 and 2 Windows 7 64bit ActiveSky2012 Has anyone else encountered this? Thanks, Eric FIelds

Hello, I've got a problem when i tape in the fmc co-route line ' lgaveham ', fmc error: invalid entry. i use fs commander to create a flight plan, i can locate lgaveham.rte in pdmg 737ngx flightplan folder, but it's impossible to load it. Well, how to do? Thx

Hi guys, I recently used a fixed config to load up aircraft, things like KGS/Lbs needed to be defaulted for every new aircraft I flew. 1) Is there anyway to revert that to default? I.e. dependent on the livery you chose.. 2) Now when I am loading up different aircraft the panel states are reverting to the last flight I flew [example is for British airways flights, I chose side by side display to simulate the classic series.] now when loading a sas 600 they were there also. Hi, I'm currently doing some research on building a cockpit for the NGX. My question here is around the software that will power the flight displays on the MIP. I know we can undock the flight displays on the NGX, but this is a little limiting as some of the displays will be powered by other computers. So, I was thinking of using Orion 737NG DU. I've done some testing with the demo version of Orion, and I have found that there are several issues. As Orion is script driven, I'm sure these issues can be worked out, but it will take some time. I also wouldn't want to reinvent the wheel, so I thought it would be a good idea to ask the question here. Has anyone…

I'm painting the NGX, and I can't seem to change the VC N number. I changed the text in the VC_N_Number PSD, flattened it and saved it as a flipped .dds. However, N738PM remains the VC N number. What am I missing?

If I am using VNAV for the climb with a SID programmed in with three height constraints say 4000ft, 5000ft and 6000ft at waypoints along the SID. Then just after takeoff ATC gives me an immediate climb to FL180. Do I select FL180 in the MCP altitude window, then press the Altitude Intervertion button three times or is there a better way.

I have been testing various setups with the FSX.cfg to better my performance etc... as everyone does and I have noticed with the PMDG NGX whether or not my fsx.cfg has ANY tweaks (standard untouched fsx.cfg newly created), or tweaks from the automated tweaking tool by Bjote or ******* etc.... or by following any other late tweaking threads.... 1) the NGX performance is great initally sitting on a runway, scenery sliders don't matter - after just about 5 minutes the FR drops about 25% and stays there! I can go from about 37 unlocked to 24 unlocked..... or from locked 30, to locked 18. Again after weeks of fiddling, letting FSX just sit running with the NGX on a run…

Hello, First I would like to thank all the hard working PMDG team for giving us such amazing pieces of art, we really appreciate all your efforts, and are looking forward for the 777 and 747v2 and many other projects. I have a quick question (and I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed before) is there any way to put traffic cones when the airplane is at the gate (like one at the end of each wing and one on the aft part). The update path from the Base 800/900 series to the latest SP-C is very hard to figure out as I just helped out a friend who only had the Base 800/900 package, but wanted to add the 600/700 to his installation and bring both packages up to the latest version, which is SP1-C. There are two issues I have with the PMDG website, SP1 for the base 800/900 is on the product page, and SP1-B and SP1C are on the download page. However, there is a SP1 for an earlier version of the 737 you developed a number of years ago, that has a SP1.....and unfortunately, my friend got confused and downloaded that particular SP1. You could really improve your website by segregating these…
