PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. I haven't been able to find any information on this... I am using a CH Products pro Throttle and the when configured, it, of course, controls the throttle position... and takes precedence over any other form of throttle control including the default FSX keyboard throttle commands F1, F2, F3 and F4... pressing those keys will cause a momentary jitter in the throttle lever in the VC, but it appears that the CH Throttle is being read in real time and will always snap back to where ever it is set even when you hold down the keys on the keyboard...     In the RW I never had any trouble landing aircraft up to the size of the Piper Navajo, often on strips the width of a bicycle track, but the 737 has got me frustrated as I constantly over-run the runway. How should the MCP be set up while coming down the glideslope in Appr mode? And when I want to go manual, as well as turning off CMD A, is there anything else that I should alter? With autothrottle still on I would expect that I would 'hit' the ground at VRef speed.     Hello Guys, please help me!I was testing Trackir 5 today morning when i noticed there weren't engines sounds on ngx.The strange thing is that i can listened to the sounds moving on ouside view or when i'm inside the cockpit moving the view to the left or to the right...Also the other planes haven't got engines sounds except c172 and b58.Thanks you very much for any reply!

    Hello, well I just bought the extended download package and registered to submit ticket to activate new URL in order to re-d/l the NGX. However,they said my account had been registered but not verified and to follow the instruction in the email that was sent-----I have yet to receive any email even after asking them to re-send a couple of times. Does anyone know if their server down or does it take a while to get an email??? Any help would be appreceiated. Regards,

    I was setting up my flight to use the tutorial #2, EHAM to LOWI, and somewhere along the path I have messed up the HUGS. It appears that the display with the hgs is in some type of zoom mode and is moved down to the lower left corner. I have tried using the eyepoint positioning controls and am able to move the display about the center of the hgs but either the hgs is zoomed in while the display within is zoomed out (hope that makes sense). Anyway, not sure what keyboard key I hit or some switch on the aircraft that I mistakenly hit, but if someone could sort of point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.     Hi Guys, As stated above I am pretty new to all this so please bear with me if you could. First of, when I installed NGX, there was a recommendation that I got my FSX.cfg file optimised for my system which I did. Problem I have now got is that this new file conflicts with some of the "settings" recommendations for NGX - Which ones to use? Second off & I know it has been covered in other posts but I am yet to find a difinative answer, I keep getting a FSX app crash when exiting an NGX flight.   10. Hi, I just installed the PMDG 737NFX for FSX. When I switch to the 2D Cockpit, I'm looking down and I cannot see the other end of the runway. When I switch to the F.O. View, it looks just fine. Why is this view not correct and cannot see the other end of the runway. in other words, instead of looking straight out the window, I'm looking down and the other end of the runway is outside my screen.     Ok I have read and watched tutorials, I grasp and understand most of the FMC stuff, however I fail to plot my own routes as I am not entirely sure of what waypoints etc to use. Basically I have tried to plot the following route: EGAA (Aldergrove), RWY25 To EGCC (Manchester) RWY05L I wanted to go VIA (LISBO to MIRSI) or (DCT/Direct to RW05L) but there are discons with the LEGS page. Basically I need someone to give me a step by step very briefly from the RTE/DEP-ARR Pages to PERF INIT, as I understand everything before and after.   14. Just turned off the active runway after landing at CYUL Montreal and found myself nose-to-nose with another aircraft on the taxiway, aimed straight at me. He braked. I braked. Then we just stared at each other. I have nothing installed but FSX and the PMDG NGX. I don't mind another a/c or two taxiing around the airport at a distance, but this is getting too personal. How do I shut these a/c off? Or, if I leave them enabled, what should I do in a situation like this? Tom Kent

I have the UK2000 Scenery for East Midlands installed and I have been using the PMDG 737NGX coupled with FS2Crew and I have Activesky 2012 installed aswell. During last nights flight from Malaga to East Midlands I was flying at FL380 and I was flying against and very strong headwind, over 90 knots, I suffered a sudden Buffet alert and my speed dropped to almost stall speed, to get my speed back up I had to descend to FL320 where I continued onwards.     Morning all, I am running into a problem on my system, I am running out of disk space. I'm down to 3 or so gigs left. I finally have FSX and the NGX working perfectly and I don't want to reinstall everything. Is there a way to copy my hard drive, operating system and everything on it, FSX, the drivers and all that good stuff and put it on a new larger drive that I'm going to purchase? Will FSX continue to work? Appreciate any thoughts on this. Richard

    I've got a favorite flight "adventure" now that involves a Jetranger helo flight from Oakland, CA KOAK, to San Francisco KSFO and from there a 737-800 NGX flight to KORD, refuel, then off again to Norfolk, Int'l in VA then on into an unmarked, private PMDG BAe JS4100 for the 200 mile hop to Langley AFB, where it's into an Air Force Jetranger for a short hop to CIA headquarters...     So i take the -800 on the KRNO - KLAS route a lot, simulating different conditions each time. As we are all aware, VNAV is giving a hard time on descent, and usually i find myself forced to use LVL CHG to achieve 16000 and 250KTS at FUZZY on the SUNST2 arrival. The other day I was flying the exact same route as i always do with real world weather, but this time i checked the "download winds aloft data with real-world weather" box in the DISPLAY->WEATHER settings just to see what it does.
