PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I am approaching Vancouver today. I have been starting to notice this on the last 5 or so flights. As I am descending to VNAV profile intercept in the 1000 fpm regime past TOD and the aircraft gets to the profile and goes into retard it just stays in retard and instead of the throttles going all the way back to idle for the arm they stay at halfway and stuck in retard. Sometimes I can scare them into arm by hitting alt intervene and toggling the speed intervene. No such luck today. The throttles then would not go back anymore. Hi, I'm experiencing problems in trying to save the panel state during the flight. For example, I'm saving flight via default FSX option "save flight", shut down the sim, then reload the sim and the flight and NGX appears with black displays, activation feature doesn't work (I mean the countdown 20,19...0) and nothign I can do about it. I cannot even load the panel state saved precautiously, because both FMC are dead. I purchased the bird a week ago and I'm still learning it (I owned both old PMDG 737 and iFLy birds), No other software except for EZDOK, REX, UT and some sceneries installed, but I do not believe they might cause problems with save flight feature. …

Hello, I have some questions about using the navigation radios. To fly a specific radial or an ils, I just enter the frequency and course in both, NAV1 and NAV2, and press the VOR/LOC or APP button. That's working perfect. But let's say I want to fly radial <xxx> of VOR/DME <zzz> and after <ddd> DME <zzz> turn into ILS <iii>. Therefore I want to tune VOR <zzz> first and ILS <iii> as standby. After <ddd> DME <zzz> I switch Frequency and intercept the ILS. But... I need to adjust the course first. And that's twice. Hello all, Well, I uninstalled FSX , and the PMDG 737ngx and FSUIPC4 today as I was experiencing pauses (freeze ups) every couple of minutes or so. I'm running an I5 and have W7 64 bit with 8G memory. I have A GEF 250 with 1G memory on it. I have all sliders to the left. (Can't turn them down anymore.) I reiinstalled FSX no problems along with the two service packs, following the PMDG instructions on their website. Tested with the default 738 and was getting 150+ fps and no pauses. Installed FSUIPC4 and the very same results. Next I reinstall the PMDG738 and also s1b. This was when I began to wonder if I had really executed a clean uninstall, as it never asked m…

Lots of pilots of the PMDG 737NGX reported how hard it is to land this bird. Here you can see that even R/W pilots have their issues with the ground-effect of this plane!

Has anyone tried recreating real life air disasters with the PMDG 737NGX? No, not a morbid interest, just more interested to know how the sim performs, and how the numbers crunch up in comparison to the blackbox data available.

Hi, All my exterior aiplane views are missing most of the airplane body with just pieces showing. Interior virtual cockpit views are fine. I am using FSUIPC and ezdok but I have had no problems running the MD11. My system is a Intel 920 and gtx 570. I also have the HighMemFix=1 in my cfg file. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this, it happened two me three times during the past two weeks and for now I can surely say this has something to do with the FMC 3D popup window On all three occassions I opened the 2D FMC panel on approach in order to be able to focus on the ATC but at the same time, see all the essential info such as waypoints and stuff like that. I have just tried a short flight from Jersey (EGJJ) to London Gatwick (EGKK), because its an eastbound route and requires an odd flight level, I entered FL170 in the FMS CDU, but it kept saying 'Flight level changed to 18000 ft ?? I tried this several times including while airbourne, but it refused to accept FL170. Whats that all about ? BTW I have been flying the NGX since it came out, together with FS2Crew, so I don't concider myself a newbie - just a bit confused :Thinking:

Yesterday in order to make a left break for circling I was unable to switch from APP mode (descending the ILS path after full est) to HDG and ALT HLD mode. Which is the correct MCP procedure to do that? Thanks in advance. Fabio

There are several checklists for normal procedures. They all asume that you are starting up from 'cold and dark'. A great example is the checklist designed by Michael Swannick I like to start from a panel state 'short stop' and would like to know which items from the normal procedure I can skip and which don't. Hello NGX Drivers, I have a question concerning the VC cockpit view for final approach situations. I have trouble keeping track of the PFD information and looking out the window at the approaching threshold and remaining on line with the runway while flying a hands on final. I'm thinking of setting up another monitor and moving the PFD and ND over to it. Will the Wideview software be the best application to do this for me? What do you all find the best way to manually fly the final approach with the VC? I dont have tracker or ezcam , but hat pov does work in VC, but not my 2D. Hi folks, just got a question in regards to when the aircraft has not got a HGS. I have difficulty trying to land on the runway tdz without the HGS, so my question, is it ok to use the vsd to guide you down the glide path to the runway ? Does anyone else use this and is it as good as the HGS ? If I dont use it, I seem to fall short before the start of the runway as I cant judge or have a good aim point when landing.

Hi i am having a problem with the PMDG 737NGX. I hae a windows vista 32 bit. I have a 8GB RAM and a processor: Intel® Core2 QUAD CPU Q9550 @ 2,83GHZ 2.83 GHZ...I don't know a ton about computers but whenever i use my 737PMDG i get an eror message after a certain amount of time. I will admit I like to run lots of Addons including Ultimate Traffic 2 and scenery. If anybody has any Ideas let me know. Hello @ all! I have the follow Problem: If I use NGX with TrackIR 5, after minutes of flight, the autoflightsystem goes crazy. I get an climbrate of 15000 and some seconds later an descent rate of 13000 etc.. I tried it for few times, without TrackIR I have no problem. (Same weather, same flight) I checked also out the keybindings, no keys from TrackIR are binded in FSX. Does anyone has an idea?

Can anyone recommend a FLTPLN or way-points that can enable me to programme the FMC to lead me onto final for RW08 from the east, I know I probably need vectored or to be given permission but not sure how to contact the ATC in fsx/pmdg yet and have no other software downloaded for ATC.

Hi guys, i am having one bit of trouble when trying to config the 737 for aes. Everything is great exept for the 1st passenger door i can't seem to get the rubber seal of the jetway to cover the aircraft door it seems to only cover a tiny bit of the aircraft. Just wondering if anyone can post me there settings for the aircraft where the rubber seals seals te aircraft door . Sorry for which seems the most stupid question lol Thanks James Roberts

It strikes me as surprising that the 737 flight management system doesn't provide a way of knowing how many VNAV constraints you've actually deleted with ALT INT button presses. It's certainly caught me out a few times: pressing the button too frequently over the far side of the cockpit without really paying attention - then wondering why the descent path isn't quite what it should be! Of course, RW pilots (i) are very attentive and (ii) always use progressive MCP altitude settings to ensure they don't bust heights and levels. But is there some kind of check or tell-tale for the number of executed altitude interventions still to have their effect on the active flight …

Dear Avsim and PMDG. I have taken some pictures today of the NGX with the new REX ESS... Now the question is where am i allowed to post these pictures. The reason i ask is because i don't want it to seem like im advertising as i am currently Beta testing for REX Games Studios. I have cleared this is Tim from REX, but i didn't want to just stick them up without asking you first.... The pictures just contain the NGX with REX Essentials running aswell..... thanks Steve
