I have done a bit of looking around and cant figure this out. I got a flight plan from simroutes.com and downloaded the file in PMDG format. Now I just need to know where to put it and how to access it. Thank you for the help. Jon

I started a flight from KABQ to KSLC and about 20 minutes into the flight I got a fuel imbalance warning. Have no idea how it happened but could figure out no way to correct it. It was about 1800 lbs imbalance. All the QRH would tell me is to correct imbalance. How do you do that? No fuel in center tank.

On the FUEL or PAYLOAD page (under FS ACTIONS), the MTOW displayed is 174.7 klbs for both the -800 and the -900 variants. According to the manuals, the 174.7 klbs corresponds to the -900, while the -800 should have a MTOW weight of 155.5 klbs. Do others see this as well or is my file corrupted and needs a reinstall? I am seeing this with the default PMDG livery as well as others. Thanks. Rushad E.

Hello folks, After reading and watching these threads for quite some time, I'm really embarassed to ask for help. In any event, at this phase of learning the "NGX", I'm flying/enjoying like I would a default FSX 737. At this time I only use the FMC to open doors etc., and not program a flight - that hopefully is coming. On my standard (newby) flights, IFR, when I get the runway assigned by ATC, - I then put in the Nav 1 freq and Course. As example for KATL, they assigned me RW8L, 109.3, Cs 93, which I entered. I have learned from this forum that Southwest Airlines does not use derates in either the takeoff or climb phases, because it reduces the time from parking brake release to cruise, thereby saving fuel. They do use assumed temps, but not the TO1 or TO2 settings. However, because the PMDG NGX does not offer a choice of engine ratings for various airlines, I use the workaround of selecting TO1 to get 22k rated engines in the NGX -700. And logically, that would mean pairing that with CLB, not CLB1 or CLB2, since Southwest doesn't derate the climb. I have a question though, would it make sense to select CLB1 so that the n1 at climb is less than the TO1 setting? Presen…

This is worth a mention for better performance control alt delete brings up task master click applications tab and have a look what is currently running on your system, you will be very surprised at whats in there ... click on the non essentials and click the " end task tab" and free up some memory just before you take off .

Just a thought I had. And quite a rediculous one really. Firstly I should explain that I have not flown my ngx for quite a while because of that frustrating real life stuff that pops up. As such my memory of the finer details is a little faded. Now I have a few days spare I think I shall get out all those expensive peripherals I bought a few months ago which have done nothing but gather dust. Just built a new PC and reinstalled FSX, PMDG 737NGX all the Service packs and FSUIPC. However, the mouse does not interact with the instruments. But all other default aircraft instruments are fine. A side note: I installed the 737NGX from a file that I downloaded from the extended download service. There was no activation prompt at all. Maybe I should contact support for another download link? I've been simming for a long time, but I have a an ILS question. What distance from the landing runway do pilots in real life capture the glideslope? Should they target capture at the FAF, or capture it just as soon as possible (10-15 miles out)? I know ATC will vector them to where they can capture the localizer, but is it pilot's discretion as to what distance they actually capture, or are there specific rules that must be followed?

Hey fellas, I had to do a reinstall of FSX - and I installed NGX SP1c. I replaced the "PMDG_737_Touchdown.wav" file in FSX/SOUND/PMDG/737NG/VARIOUS folder using the awesome sounds from the "Ground Roll Enhancement" thread. This was my exact setup before I had to reinstall everything. Problem: on touchdown, I don't get the loud shaky touchdown sound that I USED TO. Now I just hear the dull thud of the touchdown. I'm not sure what could have gone wrong -- I'm sure I haven't done anything different. Any tips? Thanks, Sam Kharey

I cant stop flying the NGX. I have 300 plus hours in the last 6 months. Do I have a problem? I just flew from Kelowna to Edmonton with the Orbx NRM, Shade and ENB and did an instant replay in the wing view at sunset. I had to put on my shades from the glare off the wing, the dark Rockies a silhouette against the setting sun. Each flight makes me want to fly more. Is there a recovery center for people like me? With the Fs2crew voice the whole experience is so real and over the top. It has now become a 737 simulator and I cannot justifiably fly any other of my payware aircraft. I just tried to purchase the NGX 600/700 expansion pack and the order page told me my credit card was declined, yet when I look at my credit card's pending transactions I can see the transaction listed. I do not have an email from PMDG so I have no way to download the expansion. Please help me resolve this. Thank you. Also, the support site says it doesn't recognize my email address. Seems like there's something wrong on PMDG's side of things. I have an email from them for my base NGX purchase just a few days ago, I most certainly am in their system.

Is it possible to bring the cdu up in a separate window overlayed on the virtual cocpit window with a keyboard input? I know you can look down and and select the window to move it but I don't want to do this. In the MD11 I just press the num3 key and the cdu pops up overlayed on the window without moving my view down. I don't remeber how I did this in the MD11. Thanks Ken

I have been flying a SID recently that basically requires a 180 turn shortly after takeoff, so for the first couple of waypoints I have entered a 230 kt speed restriction to stop the turn being too wide. However, after getting my clearance from ATC I am cleared above the SID's altitude constraints, so I select the altitude in the MCP and press Altitude Intervene to clear the various (built in) height constraints, but it also clears my manually input speed constraints. Is this how the real FMS behaves or is this a fault ?

Hi Folks, Any of you getting the same, since installing the latest Airac 1205 departing or arriving VHHX FMC coming up with VHHX ERR: TH FIX N/A. FlyTampa scenery, each VHHX Airac updated after each update with Auscene updater. FSX map TH(VOR) appears all normal as well as Level D FMS. Thanks in advance, Cheers.

I was going through the checklists of setting up the aircraft for departure when I came across the cdu pre flight section. I am using FS2 Crew and keep getting prompted to check rudder and aileron trim. What am I missing? The reason I posted this here is because I believe it has more to do with operation of the aircraft rather than FS2 crew.

Hi all, My 737-700 NGX rudder is not working, I cant get it to move. The rudder works with the 737-800 NGX. I reinstalled both aircraft with sp1c and i am using latest fs2crew, ezdock, fsuipc, radar contact, fsrealtime. im lost on this one. I might try and rebuild the FSX config file. thanks a bunch. Vince
