Hi, Is there any way to access the CDU function buttons (i.e. MENU, RTE, EXEC, etc) using the keyboard. I realise that it's possible to hold down the tab key to access the letters and numbers, but there doesn't appear to be a way to do this with the function buttons (except for the PREV and NEXT PAGE, which appear to work with tab + pgup/pgdn). Thanks for any help.

Hi guys. I need some clarification on this. All the checklist and flows state that during engine start both packs should be off. Now in my ignorance I would have thought that for engine start you would want the duct pressure to be as high as possible. But with both packs off and isolation valve and all three bleeds open the duct pressure is only about 9 p.s.i. The highest duct pressure is with one pack in auto and one pack off (doesn't matter which) and isol valve and three bleeds open when it is 38 p.s.i. With both packs in auto it is 18 p.s.i. which is better than with packs off. All this is using the APU for engine start. Maybe it's not just duct pressure …

Greetings all, After not flying for a while (real-world issues), I decided to take a trip in the NGX. After loading FSX (and choosing the -700NGX), I got a pop-up box asking me to activate the product. Not sure why, as I had purchased the NGX the day it came out, along with the -600/700 versions. I was able to find the product key on the PMDG site, however the response after entering it was "fltactcommonrepairLocalTrustedStorage - (50055, 71013, 1" Any ideas? Many thanks,

As I understand it, usually the way it is done in the real 737ng, on approach:- when the autopilot is disengaged for a manual landing, the pilot calls for speed mode to be disengaged also - the autothrottle switch is still in the on position. The reason, as I understand it for this, is so the autothrottle's safety features are still available during the approach and for a go around if required. The problem is that although during normal flight, I can disengage and reengage the speed mode (by pressing the speed button on the MCP) okay, during an approach with the autopilot off, pressing the speed button on the MCP fails to disengage the speed mode of the autothro…

Hi, Is there any way to limit the number of airports on PFD by runways' lenght factor. I remember that for MD11 and 747 PMDG had option for this. IFly 737 also has it. Thanks Dmitriy

I've been painting aircraft for a little less than a decade but I'm new to the NGX. I understand the crop zones and find them helpful on the -900 but I'm confused about the process when dealing with other variants, such as the -600,-700,-800. I have posted an image which demonstrates a blue shape rising up an -800 fuselage. The fuselage on top demonstrates how I want the line to appear disregarding the unused blank section. The fuselage on the bottom indicates how I believe it would need to be painted to ensure allignment in FS. Is there an easier way than interupting the line to ensure proper allignment between fuselage crop sections? I'm not accustomed to interrupted fu…

Hello there, I have just recorded a short EGPH-EGAA flight using FSRecorder on the NGX, and actually, nothing has saved. On one of the recordings that I've done in the past, it showed flaps, engines, lights and so on, meanwhile on this one, even flaps weren't sadly recorded. I was wondering whether this in anyway relates to the fact I've actually switched off the engines properly, while on the other recording I stopped recording before I shut down the engines, could that have perhaps an effect? Kind Regards, Kamil

Hello, I have just re-installed Windows 7, and installed my NGX, and when I try to select it in my aircraft list, it asks me for an Activation Key, so I bring up my e-mail and typed int he activation key, and apparently it says i have used it too many times therefore I can't activate it, I spent a lot of money on this add-on and now I can't use it, what is up with that!! Hello, I have a simple question...I hope. Please forgive me if this has been discussed already. The PMDG 737NGX minimum system requirements are as follows: OS: Windows 7 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i5 or i7 (Sandy Bridge core) or better RAM: 4GB+ Video Card: Nvidia GTX560 Ti, 570 or 580 with 1GB+ of video memory or better My system: OS: Windows i7 64-bit Processor: i7 950 Bloomfield RAM: 4GB Video Card: Nvidia GTX465 For the most part the NGX does ok on my system, however I am looking for more frames as FSX really slows (down to about 12 FPS) with high detailed add-ons and a fair amount of air traffic. I initally thought upgrading my card wou…

Just wondering... For me, it's easier to land with this off because the head doesn't move all the way almost out of the window. Does anyone else have this off?

Hi I've got a question for all real life pilots out there. What failures do you practice in the simulator? Are those only engine failures or which other situations are trained? I'm just curious because I'm also practicing flying with my NGX now and I want to know which situations I have to go through. Thanks Emi

Hi, I was just looking at a 737 on approach to YBBN a couple of minutes ago.I noticed that it had "flashing" landing lights on both wings. This system makes one landing light turn on while the one on the opposite wing turns off and vice versa. Is there this feature somewhere on the NGX?

Well the last 10-20 flights I've made I have not been able to get autobrakes to work more than once at max. When I set autobrakes 2 or 3 for example, the autobrake disarm light comes on a second or two after touchdown. I have disabled my pedals, thought i could be them interfering, but still the same? Anyone who has similar problem or could have a reason why?

With all things being equal, what would you experienced NGX drivers say is the optimal height range to cross the threshold (a normal threshold, not an extended one) on short final? Does 80 - 100 feet sound ok? Richard

I have flown this a few times but wonder whether you wouldn't use some mode of the autopilot for the last 180 degree turn on to the line for the runway. It just seems risky to lose the autpilot control of height and speed and of turning correctly onto the runway. After the turn then I would manually land. Peter Rowan

Forgive me if this has been reported - but I noticed a bug and I'm not sure how to prevent it in the future: LFKJ-LSGG, I had the FMS set-up and noticed that the "ETA" indicator on the Nav display was going bonkers -- it kept cycling very rapidly through a variety of times. When I check the FMC PROG page in flight, my time to descent, and ETA there was doing the same thing. The numbers it was throwing up were all senseless and changing very rapidly. In any case - didn't prevent me from having an awesome flight in the best product ever made :) Regards, Sam Kharey

Hi guys, just been doing couple flights over the weekend and when i was taxing out KLAX and some ai traffic was following i noticed that ATC told them to hold position even though i was good 100-200 feet further down the taxi. I the most i noticed it was today when i landed at KLAX parked up at gate 46A (American Airlines terminal) that ATC were telling aircraft to hold postion because i was on the taxiway even though i was parked up with engines off etc etc. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why ATC is doing this. Btw only seem to notice this with 737ngx other aircraft seem fine, Thanks in advance James Roberts

Has anyone had experience in connecting any of the Sismo hardware using the PMDG SDK and FSUIPC? I'm getting some Sismo hardware in a few weeks and want to start thinking about the software configurations and could use any suggestions that others have who have been down that path.

Any chance PMDG might do an update for the new MAX model? The winglets are different, tail cone and the engine cowls as well. It would be nice to keep up visually with the current models. Frank Cooper
