Hi Everyone! Can you tell me why TAT temperature always around at (~ -28C) at FL360, I think it must be around at -55C at this flight level. I got this problem in the begining. Thank You!

Hi, I would like to buy and fly to some of the LatinVFR airports in Bolivia and Peru like El Alto at 13,000 feet PA. My Topcat wont give me any info because it says pressure altitude over 10000 feet. I know some airlines get some mods for their 73's to operate here so I am wondering how I can get performance data for this high. Also will the FMS spew out an error. How do I get the cabin alt horn to not go off. From what I understand PMDG did not model the high altitude variants but I am wondering if their is a work around. Thanks

I cant help but feel a little disappointed with my purchase of the PMDG NGX B737-800/9, having been a previous FS9 customer, I feel the models seem to lack ANY dynamic shine and that is on both PMDG official repaints and widely available freeware liveries available no matter which livery I use there is very minimal if any dynamic shine. I am not sure if this is an omission in the paint kit as I have started a repaint of a livery myself and it is clear there is no shine in it in comparison to its predecessor the FS9 version or other payware aircraft models and paintkits or if it is simply a limitation/omission in the models itself, but I feel it takes the prestige out …

I have purchased both the 8/900 and 6/700 and I've tried to fly the 800 and 600 twice both just lockup my computer. first time was at cruise second time as soon as I started taxing third time at cruise again. where do I even begin to try to solve this? Firstly well done to the PMDG team for once again defying the laws of FSX and creating an absolutely superb product! However I have spotted a few minor issues with the NGX that could well be problems my end, but none-the-less I'll mention them here, and maybe we can see corrections in an update further down the line. 1) When swapping power over from the APU to engine Generators and vice versa, all you can hear is the click from moving the switches. I'm used to a rather loud clunk from the real-world aircraft (albeit a 734) but I seem to remember the NG does this too. 2) When moving the trim, you don't hear the trim wheels moving until after a few seconds. Hi, I currently have my sounds set up so that Communications play through my headset whereas environment sounds (engines/ switches etc) play through my speakers. I was wondering if it is possible to play voice communications through the speakers when the SPKR button is pressed on the radio panel. The reason I ask is that sometimes people like to watch a flight, and I would like them to be able to hear ATC as well as the aircraft. I was thinking that when a person is watching I could press the speaker button, and vatsim atc would play through the speakers, as well as through my headset. I just got done re installed all models .. but when I'm in fsx I can only choose the 8/900 the 6/700 doesn't' even show up! what to do? If I try to reinstall the 6/700 it just says that it is already installed. John Brian Sommers fixed.. I just reinstalled the 6/700 update and all is good now.

I've got some strange issue with mose zones in VC. As example, when mose over gear handle, there is so "hand" instead of cursor (cursor don't turn into hand). Same with other toggle (gang landing lights, battery toggle etc.). Tried to reinstall, but no effect. It;s not a big deal. of cause, but it's strange Mabe someone can help? Sorry for bad english

Hello, I am having trouble installing a second livery for the NGX the first one Installed correctly but the second one did not as the engine spinners are not present and the anti collision light is always illuminated (see picture below). I have tried getting in touch with support, but no verification email was sent to my email address, no matter how many times I click resend in the preferences tab. The liveries were both downloaded from pmdg and the livery manager is set to run as administrator the NGX is also up to date with service pack 1C installed. Any help on both of these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Occasionally the NGX takeoff roll sound doesn't cease after wheels up - it sticks and the only way to get rid of it is to abort the flight. This doesn't happen every flight but often enough to be annoying. Suggestions for a fix appreciated. Bruce

Hi flight sim friends I would like a little bit of help with system updates for my computer. At the moment on my PC with no add on scenery and only REX I struggle to get more than 20 FPS at small airports. Ever since I've gotten the NGX, I always prearm VNAV (and LNAV if necessary) on the ground before takeoff. Compared to my previous experience with the NG in FSX, most notably the iFLY, this sure makes my workload so much easier, so much so that I feel like I'm cheating. But this has gotten me thinking, which real world carriers prearm? I also read that there is a glitch in the software, and Boeing had issued a directive instructing users to enable VNAV only after flaps are retracted on climbout. I mainly fly Southwest routes, or Delta and American. Does anyone know if those carriers manually enable VNAV in the air vs. on the ground?

Two fold Question, based on my trying to simulate the BBJ. 1. Is it possible to modify the 737-700W fuel capacity from 46,055Lb up to 66,444Lb, and MTOW from 153K to 171K? 2. Is there any rumours comments on whether there will be a actual BBJ version coming in the future? I searched but couldn't see any news or comment recently. Sorry if it is there somewhere.

Observations about the 600/700s Sound difference: The Packs or air con seem a lot louder so that you can't hear the engines as well when you use he base NGX? This might be an improvement so I'm not saying it is wrong, but on the 800/900 you could hear the actual engines better? Is this good? I was playing with the 700 and I couldn't get the lower display to show the flight control display? IE when you do the flight control checks in the Boeing check-list it isn't in the expected place. But it might not exist in real life or my Flight sim was being goofy at the time. thanks Jools

Hi, PMDG NGX working fine even with IVAO and Vatsim on 3 screens with acceptable framerates. Today I tried to change the WideScreen panel to the VC high panel. I found out that the TCAS got stuck (red descend and climb lines on the PFD) on the ground and in flight. Testing TCAS gave no results. Everything else worked fine. FPS seemed higher than with the WideScreen panel. Found no “logics” section in the VC panel and no TCAS. Is there anyone out there with a VC panel and a working TCAS? Regards, Ton.

The clear advice from PMDG is to switch off real-time scanning when flying the NGX. Am using McAfee, which I don't think lets you isolate FSX and keep real-time scanning while the weather programs are active. My questions: Is there a real risk of virus infection while using (say) REX online? If so, how can one deal with this? With McAfee? Is there an alternative security application, which permits isolation of individual programs? What are other people doing this? Thanks for any advice! Best wishes, David
