PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Rex Games Studios said that Rex Essentials have a new weather engine. Now is it possible that PMDG includes in SP2 a weather radar for use with this tool?

Hello, I bought 737 NGX and allready have 747 from PMDG. I have taken over the setting recommended in the manuals but i'm missing parts of the engines en landing gear. Sometimes In Flight i'm missing the roof and/or housing from the plane and see only chairs and weels :) I only have this problem with 737, the 747 is working perfect for allready more than a year ? I tried differtent settings and also the original livery and other liveries but the problem stays. All the rest is working, also flying no problems. System: Win7 Pro 64 bit Amd 4x 3,4 gig 8 gig ram 250GT asus videocard See picture/attachment for example.

Hi everyone, Working on interfacing my phidget and pokeys cards to work with NGX. MIP is soon finished but I have some problems with the afds annunciators and gear lever. My problem with afds annunciators is that I cannot determine if the annunciator is red or yellow. No matter how I look in the array it reports the same for both red and yellow. How can I get info from the SDK if the annunciators is red or yellow? And my problem with the gear lever is that nothing happens with the gear lever event. No problem at all with the other switches but gear lever just won't work. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very happy! Thanks a lot…

I installed the 737 NGX Base pack for FSX in June of last year. I'm not clear as to what updates I should now download and install as I tried the latest update and received a message reading "The setup has detected no version of PMDG 737 6700 NGX RTM is installed. The update requires that a previous version of the application be installed" Guidance would be appreciated. Cliff

Hi Guys, Im having a weird pb when saving a NGX flight: What i do is that i save it via the FSX Menu, and in the FMC as well, but when i restart fsx and load the flight, the aircraft is bouncing on the ground like a Cadillac (waaaay above the ground, not like the little AES bouncings) !!! Same thing when i load a saved panel state from the FMC in a new fresh flight ! Help !!!!!

Right i have noticed quite a few post recently about this is wrong and that is wrong with the NGX.. First of all i would like to ask if everyone who is experiencing problems have fully read and understood the manuals that PMDG have provided us with.. The reason being is i have had this addon tested by two pilots who are friends of mine and are proper airline pilots for both Jet2 and Ryanair. This is there comments.. Hi, So in a nutshell I am having an issue with my AA. I only fly the NGX so I thought I would post this here and no one else seems to know anything anywhere else either. I have a pecular issue here in that my AA is working through inspector but not as well as it should. For the longest time I was running 8xS no TA and had an aceptable apearance. There was some shimmering on the scenery and the borders of the displays but the displays themselves, the wings, speedbrake handle, etc were very nice, no perceptible jagged lines or shimmering. I was doing a flight last night EGKK to EGGB One of the first things I do is set the aircraft to cold and dark, and then set the percentage of the fuel in the 'Menu' page. Last night I thought I would try 40% on the NGX700 aircraft. Later on however, when I was setting the take off bug speeds in the CDU page (right clicking in scratch pad), I noticed that the speeds were very high. Higher than expected for the fuel I was using. I thought I would check the fuel amount again in the Menu page of the CDU. And as suspected the fuel was 99% full. I'm sure this has happened more than once. I am pretty sure now that I haven't forgotten to set the fuel. Is there some sort …

An idea hit me today as I was watching the Air Stairs unfold to the tarmack. They came to a stop and I thought, hmm..be kind of neat if one could see passengers disembarking the aircraft. Perhaps in a future aircraft? Just a thought :-) Ed

I saw pictures of the older 737's with the Honeywell autopilot that have engine info on the screen between the two FMC's but the newer ones with the Collins autopilot don't its just blank, can someone please explain to me how I can turn on that display on the NGX.

Needless to say I am addicted to the NGX. What a great package! One small item I can't find the answer to in your manuals or here on your forum is how to clear old panel states that are gone from my database. When I go to Load Panel State, the usual PMDG states are there but so are about 20 others that I know longer use and are gone. However they are still listed on your FMC page. How do I get rid of those listings? Any help would be appreciated. Lee

Hi all, Recently refomatted my PC, upgraded to Windows7 and upgraded from FS9 to FSX. I currently have no add-on's installed, other than the PMDG NGX. However, I'm having a strange problem with the 2D cockpit view (see screenshot below) Bearing in mind I've had FSX a matter of hours, haven't really installed anything or messed around with settings, does anyone know why I may be getting this problem? I purchased Track IR5. One of the reasons was that while trying to use the virtual cockpit I had alot of trouble positioning my view to see the overhead panel in virtual cockpit to an angle that was perpindicular enought to see the switches; similarly with the pedastal. Using Track IR does not seem to resolve the problem for me. It is still hard to get a straight on enough view of the overhead even if I try to "move over to the side and look up". Likewise I seem to have a very hard time programming the FMC with the track IR environment. It seems the 2d views are still much easier to do the set up in. Hello All. I need urgent help to get me up to date on what has happened since the release of the 800-900NGX. Unfortunately, just after purchasing this aircraft I took very ill. I was away from flying, or anything else for many months while in hospital and I lost part of my memory as a result of this illness, with the help of professionals I have slowly regained a lot that I had lost, but I am struggling with parts of my FSX, in particular with this lovely aircraft. Hello guys, it is a very long time I have this problem and no way to fix it. When I close a flight using FSX menu bar, I get this weird window on the bottom-right corner (see the attachment). I have also tried to close the flight using ESC button and even waiting about 10-20 seconds when the closing window message comes up. I have an up-to-date OS (Windows 7 plus SP1 plus about 80 OS updates) and all .NET Framework and Visual C++ addons installed, plus their updates. What kind of action I should take to fix this annoying problem? Thanks, bye! P.S.: very important, no problems with any other aircraft, not only default ones but also with other payware ones.

Hi, I'm not sure if I should be posting this here but because I believe its one of the most reviewed, I thought I would I would have better luck. I have had a little trouble on a reinstall FSX and NGX after a reinstall of Windows 7. I know I have read where it is best to install FSX on a seperate drive wich I have done. But my question now is, is it best to run it from the main User Account associated with C, or, what I have done in the past, install and run it from another Administrator Account. An issue I had was when I installed REX 2 where I had trouble finding the FSX config file because at the time it seemed you had to un-hide the folder files so I could find th…

The brakes are way to powerfull I notice in the NGX. Is there any cfg file edit I can make to reduce the effectiveness. What would be even better would be to have a few different assignable buttons to be able to brake normally, lightly and heavily. Unfortunately it is either no brakes or slam your face to the panel stop. Would one be able to do this with the full FSUIPC? Thanks!

Hi all, I know there are quite a few posts relating to engine derates. What I am hoping to gather here is a knowledge base of known airline specific engine takeoff derate (and climb derate) policies. For example, I have read here that Southwest does not allow fixed derates (TO1, TO2) or fixed climb derates (CLB1, CLB2), but they do allow the selection of an assumed temp to derate the takeoff. This is good information to know, because it explains how, relative to other airlines like Airtran, their NGs use so little runway and climb to cruise altitude with minimum time, thereby saving fuel and time in the long run while sacrificing engine wear and tear. I have recently been following tutorial 1 for the general routes I fly for my VA on the US West Coast and have found it to become very useful, so much intact that I believe I will be able to fly the aircraft without any instruction. Now, because the 1st Tutorial doesn't include taxing to the runway before takeoff you will have to do that your self (taxi just before the autopilot section). Is anyone else using this training technique or have used it in the past?

I am trying to install the Service pack 1c, but it keeps telling me that there is no version of PMDG 737-8900 NGX detected. I've copied the update into my PMDG 737 folder inside FSX but it still gives me the same. I need to install this update before I can install FS2crew. What seems to be the problem?
