In the past i'm reading a lot of problems with the dual autoland (Cat 3) selection/engaging. The pre-condition for a successful autoland; 1. Both correct nav freq selected 2. Both course selectors on the same runway heading. 3. above about 1500 ft and the most forgotten selections are Both EFIS display rotary switch/selectors on APP Regard J Broens Imac 27" i7 (on bootcamp)

Strange occurrence three times on the trot now. Set up flight correctly (at least I hope that is the case) but looking at the time to next waypoint on the DU or the timings on the Progress page the times are constantly cycling and cannot see why or how to stop them.Any ideas??

Today i was wondering around the 737 Technical Site systems section and came across a few methods to transfer hydraulic fluid between the hydraulic systems in the NG. I had some doubts whether this will be simulated in the NGX, and i immediately proceeded to try it out..... and IT WORKS ! I tried the second and third methods and they work down to the line. here's how it looks after about 4 cycles try it out ! Thank you, PMDG, for creating such an accurate simulation !

Just purchased the NGX 800/900. Seems to work well however I'm struggling with livery addons. Have created a file a advised. Have downloaded a couple of liveries (PMDG_737NGX_800WL_AB) and transferred them to the file. I now need to unzip ? How do I do this? If I open the file shown above I get a .ptp file. Can't seem to progress from this stage. Really frustrating, any help appreciated. Thanks

after installing the 737 to its own SSD , I couldn't find the tutorials. Is there a way to upload them or should I re install the plane.

Not sure what the problem is. When I load my 737-800 winglets in Thomson livery I have no problems with any unusual shape on top of my plane (saycer shaped object) however due to a problem with FS2 crew I have to reset so I do not get an SDK error. When I reset and the plane loads I get this strange object on top of the plane........any ideas?

Hi folks, the tutorials teach us to use after 40% N1 in T/O the TO/GA mode by pushing the hidden click spot aside the left course knob (or a self defined button on our side/joysticks) or the actual button on the thrust levers. Why don't we push simply the N1 button below the A/T ARM switch? What is the difference? (I think in MD11 I can use it. ) I know also that in 737NGX pushing it is to no avail... the other day i selected a 737 from my list, and it asked me for the activation code, which i found strange. I entered my code, and set up a flight. When the Flight loaded, everything was fine except the engines, which refused to start manually, or automatically when loaded or when selecting a panel state. i reinstalled the NGX and no when i try to activate it it says max number of activations exceeded. any ideas on fixing this? cheers

Not a secret anymore, I know, but I couldn't resist and had to throw this topic in. The NGX came out about almost a year after my last flight in a 737 (+ visit in the flight deck). 2 weeks ago, I flew in a 738, for vacation. Flew back home today, also in the flight deck again and I have to say, it's just amazing how close this addon gets to the real deal when it comes to system depth and sounds, and of course, the 3D looks.. What I also wanted to say is that I was pretty much amazed by the fact that all pilots I flew with so far this year, knew the PMDG NGX! Hi, When I try to save my flightplan via the CDU, RTE/SAV/CONFIRM/EXECT, it does not work. Yet, the folder "Flightplan" is well Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/PMDG/Flightplan. Thanks !

Delta Air Lines as most of you know has 100 739ER's on order. I also just read RSR's latest update on their project status update. The ER models are not going to be out until after the 777 is released. With that said I wondering if anyone that does repaints can do the current -900 model in a Delta livery? I know it's not an ER but it will do until the real deal gets released.

I've seen this happen a few times, where I'll be in a flight, check on it a few minutes later and something that looks like ice build-up is on the engine, as shown here: http://www.berzerk.i...06-11-06-51.png I have the Anti-Ice on always below +10C, so I don't see how something like this could happen. Is there something else I'm missing? Graphical glitch? The engines are fully working the entire time (although I do have failures turned off).

Hello Captains, Can someone tell me what I need to do to adjust my plan. I get this quite often when trying to insert my own route into the FMS. (No des path after a certain waypoint or STAR. I have included the last 2 pages of my rte plan. Am I trying to descend to quickly and it's not able, or is my path just not doable. Wondering what parts I should adjust, the speed, the alt's or both. Ed

I am an owner of the Saitek Multi Panel and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get the auto pilot portion of the panel to work with the MCP on the NGX or any of the PMDG planes.Devin Mack

I mentioned this once before, but it's buried under 10tons of posts I'm using the multiPanel (with SPAD drivers) with the NGX, but only for Flaps, Auto Throttle switch and trim wheel. Whatever setting method I use (even setting SPAD driver to 'no action'), when selecting the first decrement of flaps after takeoff, the switch ALSO disconnects the auto throttle! However, it only does this ONCE! On reselecting auto throttle, the next movement of the flap switch has no effect. I'm really confused Can anyone throw any light on that? Cheers

Hello, I'm a new PMDG NGX user, and also a new FSX user (previously used FS9). I've found that the 2D panel on the NGX appears to be too 'zoomed out', giving a 'fisheye' look which means it's quite hard to get a visual on the runway in 2D panel view compared to VC/spot view etc. If I press the + key (turning the view from 1.00 zoom level to 1.50 or 2.00) it looks a lot more better, but the viewpoint points down far too much to realistically fly. Does anyone know if it is possible to edit the viewpoint so it is more like PMDG was in FS9? Thank you, Sam Hampson

I was reading through the pages of the Frontiers magazine that Boeing puts out every month and was surprised and delighted to see on a computer screen what is clearly the PMDG 737 for FS2004! Not at all sure what the sim was used for but I found it very interesting! I believe it was on page 28 if I'm not mistaken. mitch bowwman

In early August 2011, I downloaded the 737NGX and was excited about using this plane. Unfortunately before I could get it installed I had things come up that would prove both difficult and long term to deal with. I am just getting around to trying this plane after being away for 10 months. Today after installing the NGX in FSX I went the PMDG site expecting updates and downloaded SP1c. I soon found out that this for the 600-700 variants which I do not need at this time ... I just want to get the base system working before adding on. I am sure that there have been updates to the base 800-900 system, I just do not know how to access them ... could someone point the …

Hello guys! I have been a proud owner of the ngx since a couple of weeks after release. I have been using and enjoying this plane for months! However i've had a brake now for a couple of months and made my comeback to flightsim today. I have been trying to sort out all of the addons that i used with FSX (i formated my computer) but there is one that i cannot remember. This was an "instant replay" addon that would display every motion on the NGX. The standard FSX replay tool dosent show wing flex, reversed motors, flaps and speed brakes. Does anyone know the name of the addon im looking for? Thanks in advance!

I've installed the Driver by Steven Munn for the PMDG 737X and Goflight modules. I am using version 1.0.42.0. I am also using the latest Goflight config program as well as latest "C" update to the PMDG 737NGX. I use the Goflight GF-MCP (not MCPPRO) to control auto pilot functions. My problem is that the display screens for Vertical Speed and Altitude seemed to shifted to the left one digit causing the screet to display 0400X instead of -0400 verticle speed and 4000X instead of 14000 in the altitude display, X being a blank digit not lighted. every thing else seems to work fine. Hi, after successfully re-installation of the 737 NGX + SP1c, I am anable to install the liverys. The Livery Manager show the livery installed ,the texture file is well inside the PMDG livery folder, but when open REGEDT/Pmdg/protected textures nothing is appearing on the right side and nothing in the FSX livery selections! Any idea, or existing topic? Andre
