If you are a 737NGX driver who only has FSX on your PC and uses FS Build for flight plans, are you able to export your plans to the NGX? If so, can you tell ne how, please? I had both FS9 and FSX on my machine and was able to use FSB plans in the NGX FMC. In order to create more disc space on my D drive I decided to uninstall FS9 as I was no longer using it since the NGX arrived. Since then I cannot save plans to the NGX. I wasn't able to save plans at all but with the help of the FSB forum I can now save them as FS pln files. I can then note the waypoints and input them to the FMC. Bur I'm mystified as to why I can't save them directly and I hate mysteries. I'd a…

  2. In a video I watched on youtube lately that someone filmed in a cockpit visit the pilot had a slip of paper that he used to write information down about the weather and such... well I have tried to re-create this and it's pretty good :) Especially if you fly in Vatsim and you need to take notes of the weather... but even if you don't I find it still useful. It's a word document that you can print and then cut into individual slips. You can find the document HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?tn9u4guvxtv4xur (download button is at top right) I created the file using a freeware software called 'Open Office' but you can open it with Microsoft Word also. Hop…

Hello captains, After I installed SP1c, I ran the EZCA configurator, and flew (or at least tried to) the bird. The VC operator just as usual, but when I moved to the exterior, I was somewhat surprised to see the following: Note that it looked completely normal in the "normal" locked-spot view. I am not having this problem with any other planes. I did note however, that it said "Cockpit view" in the upper-right corner of the screen, where it would normally say "EzDok dynamic" something rather. Am I missing something obvious here?

Shortly after reaching cruise, the plane turns from side to side to a point where the bank angle warning sounds. Then in a few minutes the plane turns to an angle where it loses altitude rapidly and the levels out after loosing about 4K to 5K feet, something similar to nosedive spiral. The dive is totally caused by the autopilot there is no input on the controls by me.

  6. In the tutorial flight from Gatwick to Schiepol, shortly before the Top Of Descent, the first four lines in the LEGS page reads: SULUT (In Red) 267/16661 SUGUL 250/FL250B (In red) EH606 240/7748 NIRSI 220/5,500A 1. Why are two entries in red? 2. Should I change the SUGUL altitude to a more practical level such as 250/9000 ? Cliff

Hi guys, This weekend I got a Air Cond Overheat warning on the master caution and no matter what I did I could not correct the situation. What would be the usual causes of this? It had no effect on my flight but the whole time I was wondering if I was making my Pax suffer in the back ...LOL. Thanks Chris

Every gauge on the overhead has a tooltip so you can read the tiny displays EXCEPT the cabin altitude and PSI. It would be nice to include a tooltip for this and also the Climb Rate dial so they can be read without having to enlarge the overhead VC camera view by at least 4X each time they are checked.

Hello, Its a while since I looked at the 737 livery download section until today, when I saw a new livery for the 800/900 which which are listed as Technogoly Experimental. The 800 number under the cockpit clock says N738PM but the number in the 900 includes Experimental. Although I havent seen any Posts regarding this I am assuming this is just a bit of variation rather than having anything new relating to the 800/900. Just a thought. richard welsh PS. Should read Technology Demonstrator. richard welsh

  14. Hello All Like a lot of other folks, I get a slight (2-3ish fps) increase if I park the mouse pointer over the small white box in the top left corner. However, because I'm using the mouse to pan around the VC, I find that I'm regularly having to re-park the mouse pointer. This got me thinking as to whether a setting in Windows 7 or a utility exists that can temporarily disable the mouse pointer, so that I can leave it parked over the white box ? Due to external hardware and key board allocations, I very rarely use the mouse for actually selecting anything from within the VC, so having the pointer diabled wouldn't be too inconvenient (especially if it could be …

  16. On the advice of Robert and other helpful Members I am using Bootcamp to fly the 737 on my Apple iMac. However as I have Windows 7 in 32 bit I'm not able to use the full potential of my 8 Gb of Memory as Bootcamp is only accessing 2.23 Gb of usable Memory. Consequently my computer frequently hangs up after just over an hour in flight making it difficult to know whether I can complete the first tutorial of Gatwick to Schiphol with any certainty. I'm loathe to start from scratch by buying and installing Windows 7 in 64 bit (which would provide more Memory) and am wondering whether there is an easier way to access more than the current 2.23 Gb? I would appre…

Does anyone know how the autobrake switch works in the real plane? Does it have a solenoid to kick the switch back to off, when speed reaches below 20 knots? Or am I just dreaming?

This probably isn't a NGX-specific issue, but it came up whilst I was using it, so I'll try here. I'm flying into Cork, Ireland, from London EGSS - here's my STAR chart: http://www.iaa.ie/safe_reg/iaip/Frame1.htm My last flightplan WPT is VAPAL, so I choose the VAPAL1G STAR with a view to landing ILS on Rwy 35. A couple of linked questions: 1 The racetrack/hold depicted on this chart doesn't appear in the FMC. Compare that with e.g. the STARs into EGSS where the FMC automatically routes you into and around the stacks. Is there a reason for that? Is the AIRAC accurate? (I'm using the default that came with the NGX) Or is the racetrack not part of the …

Hello, I noticed after takeoff today, that even though I had a strong crosswind from the left, when looking at the ND, the plane appeared to be crabbing right, away from the wind. Am I reading the ND wrong? I had the AP on HDG SEL and set to 118 and the ND was reading 122 despite the strong crosswind from 080. Cheers,

  23. When using cutback at KSNA, at 800agl, the engines roll back but the angle remains the same causing a buffet before stall and then stall correction. Maybe there needs to be a hard coded angle reduction that takes place at 800agl as in real life. Also take into account the 26k bump that is used. :Hypnotized:
