Greetings, recently i have been having issues with my electric Hydro Pumps overheating on the ground and when in flight. I cleared all failures in PMDG setup and i have failures to OFF. Is there a corrrect procedure i should be folllowing as far as when the pumps should be turned on or off? Thanks! Rob Felger

i can't remember if there is (or not) a transparency setting somewhere for the 2D panels ? that's not really a big deal but all my 2D panels are now much more transparent than before. Any explanation ?

I would like to be able to change the aircraft livery when going into one of the pre-programmed tutorial modules which are available in the save flights menu. At the moment it just uses the default livery. I know how to download and install new liveries but not sure how to incorporate a new livery in the saved lights. I presume it is a matter of altering a file somewhere ?

However, I still consider myself a novice but want to make a concerted effort to learn to fly the PMDG 737 NG. To that end I have purchased the plane and also Mike Rays book on the Boeing 700 series. I am also reading the material that came from PMDG. I have successfully flown some of the tutorial flights but I am having trouble getting information on STARS and SIDS. Hello everyone! When I fly my approach into an airport, such as SFO, I see that the FMC really wants me to be going pretty dang slow, like 160 to 150KIAS. But I know in real life, ATC would like me to fly a lot faster. Approaching SFO, for instance, planes are expect to fly 180KIAS until DUMBA or BARTN and slow to final approach speed only at the outer marker (AXMUL, I believe). What's the best way to simluate this? If I turn A/T to speed mode, I lose the VNAV and I have to control my own descents. But if I keep it on VNAV, the plane wants to slow to a very slow speed. And I don't like changing all the points to have a speed of 180 but maybe that's the only answ…

Hello! For those of you useing REX weather engine and suffer from speed/altitude drops. I found out that in REX Essential you can trun the winds of. This solves this issue. You can fly with the weather engine updating weather, and not suffer from speed/altitude drops. Perhaps its not very fun to turn the winds off, but its way more enjoyable than the speed drops. REX looks awesome btw;) Nathan

Guys sorry if I got this annoying noise problem with fsx: first of all, these are the characteristics of the PC that should be fairly good: Intel sandy bridge i7 2600K, 8gb ram, video card ati radeon hd 6970 2gb. fsx with the graphics settings to put up almost all the change from 2d to 3d vision with the PMDG 737 NGX is a bit to load the image how can I solve this problem is no solution to significantly improve it where I work fsx.cfg settings or hardware? Yesterday when I was landing the pmdg 737-800ngx using autoland the autopilot suddenly disconnected just after the flare and touchdown. I had everything set up correctly, land 3 annunciated, vref + 5 etc, I did not apply force to control columns either. It started the flare correctly at about 50ft, and just after touchdown the nose suddenly pitched up and made the aircraft bounce. It was like it would have toggled the go-around mode itself??The the A/P disconnection warning sounded. Hello, I've been flying the NGX all day and now, all of a sudden, when I try and use my mouse wheel to turn any knob in the aircraft they are really sensitive to how quickly I spin my mouse wheel. It never did this before and I preferred how it was. Any fix? Thanks

Hey everyone, I cant seem to figure this one out. As the title suggests I cant get the A/P to engage. I have tried all the threads I could find which have said controller issue, checked that, maintenance issue, checked that, FD are both on, route is set LNAV and VNAV set, A/T set. Although I haven't actually tested it in another route but I cant see that that would be the problem. Its a YPAD-YMML. The only different thing is that now I am running FS2crew. Any ideas? Thanks,

Hey guys, So after the upgrade to SP1C I have noticed the plane (-700 and -900 is all I've used since the update) seems to bounce around the runways and taxiways. Does anyone know if southwest will change airtrans 737s to match the rest of the fleet? For instance will they change the PFDs from the dual cue to the single cue? I would assume so but just asking to be sure. And since we are on the topic, how is it for other mergers? Do they usually make the "adopted" aircraft match the parents fleet? Funny - So I have been telling myself, ONE solid flight front to back in this bird with full planning and checklist would make the whole sidestep from GA to commercial well worth the price of admission. So for the past day or two I have been learning topcat, FSBuild, Aivlasoft (which I hadn't owned previously) and got it all dialed in with ASE etc. etc. Off I went from LOWI to LFMN... ... umm, I didn't know there was an offset / axis alignment deal going on in Nice! Hi everyone and PMDG I know PMDG was asked at a recent flightsim conference if they will ever make the classics. They wont, which is fine cause CS and Wilco covers those models. What i would like though from PMDG and given that the -700 is an upgraded -300, is a -700F like the -300F. CS has the freighter pack but its only a -200. Wilco only has airliners unless i missed something. I know there is no real -700F, but for fun i think it would be cool flying a -700F or making as if its a -300F. All we need is a moded fuselage with a nice big cargo door on the left. Cheers Reben

In the normal airline world, is it allowed to start engines when still at the gate, or only after pushback? I don't want to suck stray people around the gate into the engines ... but when I take actual flights, it often seems like a very short time from pushback to taxi, not enough to start the engines only after pushback. Seems my aircraft has gone tech, and this stuff is definitely on the MEL. For reasons I am unable to discern, my 737NGX's MCP and radios have stopped displaying anything in their LCD displays. I load the aircraft by starting on the ground with the default trike, then load the 737NGX. The default panel state starts fine, but the aforementioned displays are missing both in 2D and the VC. Selecting and loading a different cockpit state yields the same results, even when starting from cold and dark. Now, I know the MCP's controls are still working, as the mode selection buttons (e.g. VNAV) still light up, and if I turn any of the selection knobs this is reflected on m…

Hey guysSomething that made me very happy to know when PMDG announced the features to be included on this bird was the possibility of using real life ARINC 424 Format, same format used in real life, and that would make possible RF-Legs, something that the actual Navdata standard doesn't permit.Is that feature still being planned for the future of PMDG 737NGX, or has the idea been given up for a future project because of some unkown problem?Sorry if this topic has already being covered before, I don't follow the PMDG forum daily anymore, like I used to do when this bird wasn't ready yet/Thanks!
