I am having a difficult time getting close to the published range of the 737-700WL (3440NM). I have set the payload to a load factor of 70% in order to be able to reach 100% fuel without exceeding MTOW. So far, I have only been able to push the -700 to 2700NM with no winds aloft. Any ideas? 3. Hi all, first I have to say I was away of virtual flying for month, I think and in this time I neither edited something related to FSX nor opened it at all. However when I now try to fly with the NGX i get random faillures, eventhough I have set it to off in the FMC. Of two times of flying this happened two times. I will continue testing, I know two times sounds like nothing. Here is what happened: Number 1: I was sitting in the cockpit of the 737-800 in EDDT in the cold and dark state. I done the standard procedure wich includes to set the IRS into the "nav" position. After 10 mins of doing all the other stuff I get the message "Enter IRS positon" in the FMC. Unt…

  4. Is there some logic on the 737-800 ngx fail-operational land3 autoland that makes it disconnect if there is too much drift from the ils on the final or for example coming in too fast/slow due wind shear or in other cases making the approach unstable? I played around yesterday putting some heavy weather to my sim using Activesky 2012. I set up crosswin of 25-30kts, heavy windshear and turbulence just to see how the autoland handles it. Though a bumpy ride, the approach went pretty good but about 200ft agl there was heavy change in windspeed increasing my ias from desired 142 to 158, soon after the LAND3 mode disconnected and I ended up flying the plane manually.. Any …

Had to do a computer restart and after installing everything again. My 737 is working ok but when I restart flightsim after a break my settings won't stay the same keeps turning of my service based failure which I have set to stay on And won't maintain my hours and keeps going back to 250. Can someone tell me where am going wrong. Iv checked the manual and can't really find a answer to it. Would just like to get back in the air flying the great machine. Rob lambert

  11. I got a Ryanair FCOM2 and I'm looking a bit into it. It says what to write, to put a waypoint on the route! But I can not insert a waypoint in the LEGS page! (Along the route) Examples. "GG711 / 5" The ESGG STAR to 03 It should end up 5 NM along the route ahead of GG711 Manually Entered Along–Track Waypoint Names Along–track waypoints are a special case of place–bearing/distance waypoints applied to the current route. When a waypoint is desired on the route where none exists, the along–track waypoint feature creates the desired waypoint without creating a route discontinuity. Along–track waypoints are entered using the waypoint name (the place), foll…

Here is the situation: At FL380 cruise "Auto Fail" warning light at pressurization panel light up. ALTN pressurization system didnt work neither. Pressure was controllable via manual positioning of valve. Cabin altitude, diff pressure and cabin rate were OK, warning horn remained silent. Cruise altitude and airport altitude was entered correctly. Tried to switch back to auto system several times without success, and at about FL120 auto systems started to work like nothing happened. No failures registered by Aircraft CDU menu. My question is why system failed at first place, how there was no failure indication in aircraft menu, and how system start to work agai…

Blimey, I have been busy posting on this forum today. Again another issue I have read about but never experienced has just occurred. Just did a reinstall of the 737 and expansion and encountered the wing hard over thing on approach. Did a nice flight from Islamabad to Kathmandu. Nice approach over the mountains. One of those fs flights that remind you of why we do it if you know what I mean and then at DH....BANG left wing down in an instant. At first there was nothing I could do but just as I was about to plough into the grass short of the runway I got it back together and BANG...again she went over. No saving it this time. It was a frightful mess frankly. Anyhow…

Before SP1C it seemed that NGX reverse thrusters activated correctly but now with SP1C, they will not activate until N1 has SLOWLY spooled down to N1=29.1% and only then I see the amber REV (actuating) and then a couple of seconds later green REV allowing me to increase reverse thrust by holding down F2 key. But by that time I am usually below 70K with autobrakes only and have no need for reversers! I am throttles idle at 20 agl as I flair. I immediately verify F1 then F2 as nose wheel lands and nothing happens even if I hold down F2 until N1 has SLOWLY spooled down. I have never flown 737's. REAL WORLD NG DRIVERS: Is this the way it is supposed to work on the N…

  17. Hi all! I've recently experienced some strange behaviour from my NGX, a 700 model ay this time. Flying from VIDP to VPQR in Vnav and Lnav at FL370. At about 10nm prior to the TOD I select the DESC NOW option on the FMS and the plane starts its 1000fpm shallow descent prior to intercepting the Vnav path. Till here all good and behaviour is normal. Upon interception of the descent path tho the plane suddenly rises the v speed to something like -3500 fpm for a couple of seconds, presumably as a burst to intercept the path. Is there a way to avoid/solve this? it seems quite unrealistic and besides my VA doesn't accept reports with v speeded higher than -3000fpm. I'd l…

  18. Hello all I seem to have a real problem reliably saving and loading panel states. What tends to happen is that the MCU informs me that a panel state has been successfully saved, but upon loading said state, FSX freezes after the NGX has run through its initialisation process with an APPCRASH - the faulty module being reported as PMDG_737NGX.DLL. Correct me if I'm wrong, but saving a panel state should allow a given NGX setup to be restored into any saved FSX (NGX) flight, therefore, saving a panel state should not require the flight to be simultaneously saved ? The instruction manual quotes this: Saving a Panel State: Saving a panel state is a bit different. …

Hello, I bought this aircraft about a month or two ago, and it was fine up until now. I can fly the default House PMDG texture, but when I use the livery and install a new texture, it wont let me use the plane. I'll post a video explaining my problem. PMDG 737 Texture Problem Video Thank you!

hi, i am quite embarrassed to ask this. i thought about creating a fake account for a minute to disguise myself but oh well. a search here gave no results. and RTM did not help me either. i always thought this was a no brainer but i just did a practice RTO and realized it doesn't work as i thought it would. let's say you're on the take off roll with autothrottle i thought you'd apply reverse thrust and then the brakes would automatically kick in (hence RTO on auto brakes). however, moving the throttle levers (Saitek) back and to reverse did nothing. only after i applied toe brakes A/T deactivated, reverse was applied and i slowed down "manually". do i …

  22. Hi guys, I'm getting an error while installing the NGX 600/700 expansion: Unable to locate fsx.exe. Unable to Install. It looks like a registry problem, but unfortunately I know very little about fixing the registry. I've submitted a support ticket, but I thought I'd try to find a solution here while I wait for a response. Specs: Windows Vista 64 bit, FSX SP2 (no Acceleration), i7 940 and dual GTX 280s

Any reason to get the 737-600/700 expansion? Other than to support PMDG's great work. I have been flying the 800-900 for awhile and am trying to decide if I need (Well dont need it, more of a want) the expansion or get more scenery. Thanks James Allen

  25. Greetings; A simple subject but I wish clarification. If the auto-throttle is disengaged or is planned to be disengaged prior to landing, the recommended method of approach speed correction is: to add one half of the reported steady headwind component plus the full gust increment above the steady wind to the reference speed. Do we add the headwind component to the Vref or to Vref + 5? As an example, let us assume: Vref is 140 knots, headwind 20 knots and half the headwind is10 knots. Therefore, is the correct configuration: Vref 140 + 5 + 10 = Vref 155, OR Vref 140 +10 = 150 Thank you, WilloW
