The printed manual for tutorial 1 that was included with the purchased disc contains errors. I have found 2 but there are obviosly more as it is not operating properly. Is there a list of the errors ?

Ok so after nearly a year of flawless operation a few things seemed to have gone very wrong in the last 2 days. Some of these things I have seen talked about on the forums but I can't find the threads at all so here we go. 1. Font on the AC/DC metering panel has gone from dotted to solid. Have posted a ticket about this but as yet no reply. 2. FMC and clock on panel are in disagreement 3. The prediction times in the FMC have gone mental and frankly do not make any sense. 4. On the route I did yesterday from LLBG-OIII there seemed to be an issue with the SID and STAR data that caused a program pin error. 5. Just started a flight with the 900 which admit…

Hi folks, some days ago the AC/DC metering panel changed its font from dotted to a solid font. I am not sure, but maybe this coincided with installing fsuipc. 1. Why is that? 2. What is right? 3. I could observe that, during installation of the NGX, setup asks for authorization to install Direct X, which I always allow. Currently, I am having a chronic problem with my new laptop (purchased specially for the NGX), which is a recurrent problem occurring usually during playing FSX (although not always the case). I downloaded one of the software that analyzes the memory dump files, and it shows that the faulting driver is "dxgkrnl.sys". Please provide help with the following: 1. Are you allowing installation of Direct X during setup of the NGX? Or can we bypass this and install a more recent driver for Direct X? 2. Have any of you faced this problem b…

I havent had this problem in the past with the NGX but now in cruise its banking left and right constantly. I know this can be caused by FSX Turbulence, but I have that box unchecked. Please help

In the past few months, I have a completed a number of approaches with the NGX, including ILS, RNAV, Visual, etc. When flying an ILS approach, I reset the Altitude target to the Missed Approach Altitude once the LOC/GS have been captured. Whenever I fly using the RNAV approach (ie using the LNAV/VNAV), I can't figure out when to reset the Missed approach altitude. The few times I tried, the descent stopped. So did I reset the altitude too early, or is there another key press required ? I watched a video on youtube on such an approach but it was in German and I didn't quite understand how the pilot did it. He was however able to set the Missed approach altitude on …

I have just watched a tutorial on U Tube concerning descent. In the demo the pilot showed the ND and 'made' the lower part display a descent profile image. (An aircraft descending). How do you do this? Also, he created a green arc about 4nm from the arrival runway and also a dashed green line about 10deg difference from the runway heading (to alert him to activate VOR LOC). Just for kicks, I made a list of every capital city in the US. Then I gathered a little information about the airport in that area. I alphabetized the list, then flew from each capital to the next, in order. It was great fun. The biggest challenge was flying 3700+ miles from PHNL to KIND. You really need a good tailwind. Carson City is another good challenge. It is situated between two mountain ranges, and has a narrow runway. I started and ended in Washington, DC (KDCA). I think next I'll do Europe.

Not sure if this is possible, but it would be incredible convenient if each of the door indicator lights on the overhead: ...was it's own clickspot to open that particular door. Having the controls in the CDU is for sure easier then the default Shift+E+1/2/3/4 method, but I like to use FSDreamteam's GSX while doing my preflight, and it's mildly irritating getting beeped at to open a specific door and having to navigate away from the CDU page I'm working on to go to menu - options - door controls - and find the door they want me to open. Any chance this could be implemented for the next patch?

I must be overlooking something, I have power,I have dual fmc restored and I have the basic map display,I have alligned the IRS and i have copied the position and placed them in the empty boxes but still nothing on the map display except for the basic display itself. And yes I do have the departure and arriving airports entered in I wish I knew how to create a screen shot and post it for a visual ref.

Hi everyone, I thought I'd make a new topic as I've spent half the afternoon trying to solve this. Basically when I start the NGX from cold and dark, I try to setup the FMC during FS2CREW preflight. i tell the aircraft where I am, load up my company route and corresponding SID, but first of all, I can't enter my crz altitude because it says *conflicts with altitude restriction at" then a random altitude with a restriction. I thought the whole point of cruise was it comes after tjhe altitude restrictions when I take off - so how do I bypass this? The second more major problem is this. I would like to know how to get the "g-force effects" when I am in the virtual cockpit of my PMDG 737-800?? The view that I fly in (by pressing F9) is a "locked" view from the captains chair. Of course I can look around but I do not get any "g force" effects like when I land or in turbulance. The pilots head does shutter or move around it just stays locked in the line of site. I have heard that the pmdg 737 comes with this cool feature but how do I use it?? Is it possible to use a touch screen to tune the radios on the 737NGX? I have an Android tablet and Air Display and would like to put the pedestal on the tablet so that I can tune the radios on that tablet. Fellow Pilots, I need some help please, although I have set the VC Cockpit view to .60 as recommended I note that this make the outside world also zooms out by that amount which gives a very unrealistic view e.g on the ground other aircraft look far off. Is there any way I can keep the cockpit at .60 and the oiutside say at .90 or even 1.00? For info I use ECZA to do all my view shots around the cockpit, any help greatly welcomed! ManyThanks

Hello I have had both the 600-700 & 800-900 installed since the day I brought them & I have had no problems running them in FSX. Today for some reason, when I try to use both models the screen goes black & when I minimise it I find an on-line activation screen on the desktop. I enter the code but I get some error that says I don't have a proper licence for this product & when I cancel the screen I get something about an PMDG 737NGX internal fault. Have both of these products somehow been corrupted? Is someone from PDMG (or anyone) able to shed some light on this for me. regards Tom McNamara

howdy folks- love the NG! few questions if you dont mind. 1. I saved a custom aircraft state in the FMC along with (cold and dark short turn etc.) I find I dont use it. It doesn't do any harm sitting there but i'd rather clean it up and get rid of it and just have the defualt panel states. How do I do this? 2. the take off warning indicator, I've researched through forums but never found a solid answer. I dont think its a bug but something i'm doing. Whenever I increase the throttle the horn sounds and I honestly have gone through all my preflights. Hi, lately I have been experiencing a crash, with consequent message of Windows irreversibile error, FSX.cfg reverting to the default FSX.cfg and double mouse click not working in Win until next reboot, as soon as I press the TOGA button on my throttle (button assigned to CTRL+SH+G) in order to execute a go around at the decision altitude. It happens now and then, not always. Has anyone ever experienced this?

OK, so I can't find it now, but what was the latest update on the 737-900ER and other 737 variants? I seem to remember something about it coming with SP1C, but obviously I was wrong.With all the latest PMDG announcements for new aircraft and re-makes, is the 900ER still on the cards? Hi all, I went through the initial tutorial flight on the NGX and did manage to get an autoland right once but since then, I have missed something even though I have gone thru this again in the tutorial... Flying a STAR arrival procedure into a major airport for ILS approach, both nav radios tuned to the correct ILS frequency, both Course selectors set to the runway in use, Both FD's on, I intercept the localiser below the glideslope using LOC/VOR on the MCP. Aircraft stablises on the localiser and I press APP and then the second CMD button to activate dual autopilot.
