Which PDF has the infomation on using the TAI ON/OFF options. It is not very icy at the moment in the UK, but it is a bit wet I guess. It is above 10c. However it would be nice to go over this descent forecast page more. Thanks Jools

This weird issue started popping up for me not too long ago. It started with the JS41. On climbout I would barely hold a 300-400 fpm climb with max RPM and EGT lines at their max allowed temp. It wouldn't happen on all flights, but on some it would. Now the same has started happening with the NGX. Yesterday I tried a flight out of KLAX. The takeoff roll, V1/VR/V2 went fine, but after I passed 1,000ft and nosed down at acceleration height, I noticed that my plane wasn't gaining speed but was actually losing speed. What's also weird is that I had to nose down to almost -5 degrees of pitch before I started gaining airspeed, as if the flight characteristics were drastic…

On my last flight i set a 5nm offset and then changed to plan mode (ND). Normally it's possible to step via CDU through each waypoint (via LSK6R) in plan mode. With an active route offset this doen't work anymore. The step button in CDU does its job normally but the plane stucks in current position (ND). If i clear the offset everything is working fine again. A friend experienced this issue on the same route: LTAI DERYA UA16 RASDA A16 CVO A411 KAPIT HESH PMDG thank you for having an eye on this.

Hi guys, First i know this is not a support forum for software made by VRinsight but i wanted to hear experience from you guys . I have a issue on my Windows 7-64bit platform when running the software from Vrinsight and using the NGX´s FMC. The problem is related to CPU hog and as a result making the frames jumping forward and reverse every 10 seconds or so. The CPU LOAD of the software can go up to 30% but normally it would steal 24% of my I7-950. The issue seems worse when the CPU is overclocked. A solution which is not optimal is making the software run in "low priority" . This way it would still steal up to 24% but the frames seems more stable. I h…

The window heat lights in my NGX won't stay on. They will randomly turn off and on. There is no failure indicated, there is no overheat, there doesn't seem to be anything going on. This issue has only been happening in probably the last month or so. I think it may have happened to me before any of the Service Packs came out, but then it was resolved. Now its randomly acting up again. Any insight?

Hey im about to reinstall the NGX (uninstall and then install it again). Ive uninstalled it using the remove option in the PMDG installer. I still however got an PMDG folder inside of my FSX folder. I have used CCleaner but nothing really happed. Should i manually delete this PMDG folder before using the installer to install the NGX again? The PMDG folder is containing a *Dem* folder(lots of Dem files), *icons* folder(PMDG_Icon.ico), *Livery Manager* folder(.exe inside), *NAVDATA* folder(lots of .txt files), *PMDG 737 NGX* folder(.ini files) and finally a *SIDSTARS* folder with lots of .txt files. What should i do with this folder? :P

Hello guys, I submitted a ticket to PMDG and purchased a re-download service for the NGX base package and after recieveing the permission to re-download I have downloaded and isntalled but now I am trying to activate it using the key I got in the email about the extended download service and I am getting the error message: "The activation of the fulfillment is denied by the activation policy because max extra activations exceeded. For the past about 4 months I have been flying the PMDG 737ngx without really knowing how to work the thing. I have been basically hopping in the plane, and loading the route into the FMC, selecting the DEP/ARR runways into the FMC, and I have fs2crew, so I would basically fly my routes like that. But lately I have really been trying to learn the functions of the FMC, and how to correctly program it, so VNAV and LNAV actually do something, and I can autoland the plane if I need to. I don't get at ALL how to enter the correct waypoints, legs or anything into the FMC... I have read the manual but I still don't get it!!!! I have fscommander 9.0, and I want to fly…

Dear PMDG-Team! First off all I want to say thank you for the great SDK, which should make it able to build a homecockpit with the NGX. For the inputs (knobs, switches, ...) I use "custom controls" in FSUIPC and the numbers for third party events from the PMDG_NGX_SDH.h-file. To assign the correct position of a knob, you also have to set parameters (like 0=off and 1=on), this works great for a simple on/off switch with to positions like the taxi light switch. But which parameters do I have to use to set a switch with three positions like the landing lights retract switch or a knob for the autobrake? Do you also have a small list for that? Thank you! Hello all I don't know if anyone can shed some light on this but when I first bought the NGX, back when it first came out, I was amazed at how FPS freindly it was, especially given the sophistication of the thing. It seeemd to me that PMDG was really getting a handle on the ability to optimise where back in the days of the 747 release anything but the most powerful machine on modest settings would struggle to run this complex sim. I wondered about the service packs esp 1c but from what I read that is not supposed to cause performance probelms. The fact is that I pulll out of KLAX now struggling to get above 15 FPS with Autogen etc set on Normal. Well, even the old 747…

I have a weird problem. I know i've just posted but this problem just arose for me and I hope someone will help me! My electrical won't start when I chose to load the NGX in it's cold and dark state!!!! I have fs2crew, and when I load fs2crew, they won't start the electical either!!??? You know... when the cabin goes Ding! and everything turns on. Yup... won't happen unless I change the panel state. Help anyone? Thanks, Elsa Fay

So I keep getting the error in the FMC saying that I'm not on an "intercept heading" when I'm trying to re-engage LNAV in the air after having to manually set the heading because of ATC. Once I want to get back to my flightpath and re-engage LNAV, it keeps spitting out this error no matter what. I read this in the Introduction pdf: But I guess I don't understand what it's saying or perhaps I'm trying to re-engage it incorrectly because no matter what I do I keep getting the same error. I set the plane on a heading that will see it cross the course but still no dice. Any help with this? Thanks so much.

My "PMDG_Livery_manager.exe" is missing from my system. I suspect that Norton anti-virus software removed it. I would like to be able to download it, but I am unable to find a location for the file. Can someone please tell me how I can find and download the Livery Manager? This is for my PMDG 737NGX product. Thanks, Jim

When I start with C&D, I press the menu-button of the fmc dcu a few seconds to make some adjustments for the beginning. Then I set the ground options but if I want to connect ground power, nothing happens. The text "connected" is marked red but I can see no GPU in the outside view, the blue annunciator remains extinguished too. It's a little bit frustrating. I ran the installer again with the repair option. The only effort is the deletion of the installed addon liveries... Would be pleased if anyone knows who tho solve the problem. Thanks folks!

I recently got rudder pedals, but I still use the twist axis on my joystick to taxi on the ground, in order to simulate a tiller. However, sometimes my joystick stops responding on the axis, causing me to quickly turn to the rudder pedals to turn. Unfortunately, the rudder pedals work, but then they too stop responding as I try to gain back control of the joystick. This is really annoying, as it can completely mess up my runway entry procedure, where this phenomena seems to happen the most (I don't know if it has to do with the slight braking I tend to do before entering the runway). Should I just disable my joystick's rudder axis and stick to the pedals? Could it be an N…

I have the FS9 (FS2004) versions of the PMDG B737 NG ( download files are: PMDG_737_THE_NEXT_GENERATION.ZIP, for 737-600/700, and PMDG_737_Next_Gen_800_900.zip) and I was wondering if - even hoping that - PMDG had made available upgrades to convert these FS9 sims to the FSX format. I love simflying "as real as I get" so I'm interested also in studying abnormal procedures etc and among them I often choose (naturally) "V1 cuts" especially after V1 cuts and after V2 cuts being the most demanding ones... Now a question: In a "on-line" review it's stated by a (former) airline pilot testing the ngx that our 737 is "easier" to control in case of after v1 engine failure because yawing is lower than in real bird. My FSX keeps crashing to the desktop when I use FSPassengers with PMDG NGX planes. I've read the sticky as well as every article I could find on the internet regarding this issue and still cannot fix it. I've already tried updating my "Uiautomationcore.dll" like I said, it works fine with other planes, so this is PMDG NGX Related. Well, I mostly flew the NGX around Germany, Ukraine and all around Europe without using the HGS, since no european airline ordered it for their aircraft, I though I'd give it I try after hearing Rober saying how much work went into this particular system of the NGX. Fellow Captains, After reinstalling the NGX due to a HDD crash I discovered that the yoke in teh NGX is limited to about 15%. I am using the G940 flight set from Logitech using the latest drivers and a full calibration in FSX. But either using my G940 or the keyboard, none will move the yoke more than 15%. The NGX is set up with hydraulics on etc so it should work. I also tried other planes by they do work properly. The yoke is not limited as it is in the NGX. Could anyone help me out here or is a reinstall needed? Thanks in advance!

I just purchased the 6700 version, and I would like to know if panel states are interchangeable among all the NGX versions. I assume the answer is yes, since you can load any of the pmdg installed panel states on any of the aircraft versions, but I had a problem with the yoke being deflected to the right yesterday, and I am not sure if loading a panel state that I saved in the 800 NGX on the 700 NGX could have caused this (or maybe it was just my controller acting up).
