PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. After a flight from Palma De Mallorca to Gibraltar, I went under Failures to how many hours I have flown. And there was one active failure, and I looked with amazement, to see which failure I had got. Without any warning comming up. :)And there it was, a Nose Tire Balance failure. Does anyone know something about this? I have looked in the FCOM and searched the net but no dice.. :(To me it just have to be that the nose gear is out of balance and needs to be recalibrated? :)Best regards and happy landingsJakob

    This is a question aimed at people who fly in Europe, and to and from the UK. I am curious, what airline do you chose to fly for in the Simulator? Do you try and stick to real world routes/destinations, for example by only flying to/from places on the ailines' route map? Where is your favourite place to fly to/from in Europe?     im having a problem with my FMC display. my fmc only apppears on the right side...not on the captains side. however while setting up the fmc for flight, i get a message on scrtachpad saying "double FMC OP Restored" however it still doesnt appear on the left side. Any idea as to how to resolve this issue? regards

  5. I was flying kboi to kslc yesterday and started setting up flight in fmc for a departure on runway 10L. I selected 10L with no Sid but when I hit perf page I had no v speeds. I noticed it had no runway length listed. Same thing happened tonight on my second flight when departing from KDEN 34L no runway lenght listed in fmc. The flight before from Kphx to KDEN worked fine.   6. Hey Everyone, Love the NGX and am slowly learning. I'm following Tutorial #1 to the letter (I think) and just after I engage the A/P, the nose begins to bob up and down rapidly. I'm not sure if the A/P disconnects eventually due to this or if it's because I gently try to stabilize the nose (likely the latter, huh? ). I generally try to figure things out myself but this has happened all three times I've done the tutorial, and I'm gettinmg nowhere on my own. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! Oooops ..     Hello fellow Captains, It seems I have broken the brakes on my NGX as it wants to circle hard left when taxiing. I will be honest, in saying I did have a few hard landings, and several times I ran out of runway, and there were also several times I went off runway and into the grass. This circling left doesn't happen in the default aircraft. I've also recalibrated and recalibrated my ch pedals umpteen times with no luck. My null zones are set to nil and sensitivities are full.     I'm sure when I first installed the 737NGX there was a recommendation by PMDG to change the Texture_Max_Load figure in the fsx.cfg file from 1012 to 4096. Can someone please point me in the right direction to find this please, I've looked in the 'NGX Introduction' manual but can't find it. I'm sure there was also a recommended setting somewhere to help stop the S-Turns, but can't find that either ? Glen

    boys I have a problem with both REX and Active Sky 2012. when active real weather I have problems with LNAV the real weather is too abrupt changes in wind direction from right to left. consequently LNAV is skidding to the right and left.     I recently installed the latest interface which functioned well.However before I could use the 737NGX I found I had to use my activation code. Every time I used both types of NGX I had to reactivate. Removal of the interface did not solve the problem so it looks like I will have to reinstall as PMDG are denying me the use of their product because of toomany activations!!! Is this a fault of the interface? Anyone have any ideas?

Funny thing is, the version # in the readmes of the installers is higher than the readmes of the service packs. So a little confused at the moment why that is.. Thanks

    Hi All, I did a quick flight from KBNA to KGSP at FL290 in the 700 last night. During my preflight, I attempted to calculate my TAS in knots based on the flight level, Mach speed, and ISA deviation. I am having trouble estimating my mach speed. Using 120,000 pounds, and a pressure altitude of 29,000, the Long Range Cruise Control chart on page PI.21.2 said my mach should have been .675. At cruise, based on my cost index of 34, my actual mach was .728. For the purposes of using the Long Range Cruise Control chart, is pressure altitude the same as cruise altitude?     when I start my FSX there is a strange small square at the top left hand corner (very small, barely noticeable), when I drag it's corners it become larger, and I can relocate it any where I like, when I right click on it I get close window option (but it doesn't work), only when I switch FSX to windowed mode I can see the lable of this window (Light sensor), I can undock it but can't be closed, any idea what does it do and why can'y I close it?

There are occasional catastrophic freezes if I try to execute too many procedures at once, for example flicking switches on final, with more than two pop-up panel instrument windows open. VC takes a little time to refresh from grey too, when I take a Spot peek from the outside. My system is a Sony laptop running Vista Business, Intel Centrino 2 Duo CPU, P9600 @ 2.66 GHz 2.67 GHz, RAM 4.00 GB, 32-bit operating system.     Until recently I've not bothered to watch the pressurisation system in the NGX during climb and descent. On my last flight I did and noticed a flaw in the model. It seems to try and maintain takeoff airfield altitude in the cabin for as long as possible. Thus after takeoff there's no cabin rate of climb. Differential pressure increases until it reaches the yellow warning band (about 8.5 psi) at around 20,000ft. Then the cabin begins to climb at over 1000 ft/m, though the rate oscillates. As it nears the set altitude the rate decreases to 500 ft/min and Pdiff backs off slowly to settle at 7.9. A real pressurisation system will start the cabin climbing slowly imme…

    My 2D panel view is askew viz: looking straight down at the centreline of the runway. Shift + Enter doesn't help much and even after saving a flight, it reverts to its former position. Is there an entry I can alter in the fsx.cfg file which will correct this anomaly? This annoyance does not affect the performance of this excellent, simulated aircraft. I suppose it's just me. While I'm here: The detail in the 737 NGX is quite astounding and I have 2 other PMDG fsx aircraft.     Hey! I've read that there are a lot of people using the TrackIR with the PMDG 737NGX so I thought I'd post here, see if you can shed some light! I just bought TrackIR5 w/ TrackClip Pro, I've also got the vector clip. I'm having some issues with zoom and other view points, I'm using the "Seth - Flight" profile but when I try to zoom in, it's like I'm kissing the monitor and still no where near the instruments in the virtual cockpit, I zoom in that far that the tracker no longer see's the Pro clip and dead sets until I move back into view...     Hi Guys, need help. I scanned my drives because I was having issue with an intermittant starting problem with my computer. Anyway so everything is ok so I start fsx. All but when I choose any of the 737 anbout 1-2 seconds later my computer locks up, no mouse movement, no response so I have to reset computer. Other planes are ok to fly in FSX. I have uninstalled NGX, deleted all folders in FSX and Sim Objects then reinstalled. Stil the same. I have not done anything with the FSX config file, maybe I need to. I also tried a system restore to a few days ago but that did not fix. Please any help would be much appreciated. Brett Nicholls

    I recently had a problem where I had to uninstall and re-install my FSX, after the re-install I re-installed my planes, My PMDG 737ngx 800 re-installed fine except that the HUD is blank, it goes up and down fine but has no information on it. I did a repair from the install file but that did not help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Mike
