Hi folks, I wonder whether the lower mid screens information can be set on pilots discrection, or is it something the airlines have to purchase from Boeing? Regarding the Hydraulics this seems to be kind of mandatory. Regarding the brake temperature it is a safety issue to know whether a brake blocks a tyre. (What simpler indication could the pilots get? There is none, right?) Regarding the FCS the pilots might sense blocked dimensions (ailerons, elevator, side rudder), but not the spoilers (do they all extend?). If you are annoyed by too much information, you can switch off the whole screen... but if something is broken, every information is useful, is …

Hi fellow PMDG NGX pilots, I am at that stage where I have got over the joy of flying this machine. And am now sitting on the stand with power established, trying to lean about this A/C. In particular the descent forcast page. A usefull tool is ActiveSky 2012, it has this planning utility. How do you find out the predicted wind from the location fix using all this data? The 3 places L and R scratch pads for arrival wind. The destination info is ok, but finding a wind for a particular stage of flight is a little more confusing? It is quite hard veiw it in the program itself because it is in a frame.( I hate scrolling) Thats a lot of data :) …

How do I get rid of this? The textures seem to be not aligned properly in that segment of the fuse or paintkit. It's the same with nearly every NGX paint which was made with the official paintkit. I got one repaint which was painted on a slightly modified paintkit and this particular repaint does not have that problem with displaced textures. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi all Has anybody had this before When flying a flight plan the aircraft for some reason does a severe banked turn to left or the right upto 30-60 deg causing warnings and lat disconect sometimes it then banks back the other way and tries to resume the flight plan. if you look at the map view after this has happened it looks like several " s " shapes during the period of the banking. I'm using rex extreme and it seems to be related to weather updates but not always

If you wish, you can take a look here: http://filepost.com/...72m/SAS821.zip/ Read carefully the details in the mission briefing page, where you can also find flight plan, chrts, loadsheet, met report, notam and loadsheet. Hope you enjoy the flight. :Peace: Take care Patrizio

Hello all. I've seen somewhere that someone has done a .wav file when they press the ''attend'' button, and it plays a safety demonstration, which is a brilliant idea for those without FS2 crew. I was wondering if anyone knows if the Thomson safety demonstration has been done in a .wav file? , As i would love to be able to play this when i press the attend button. Could anyone help? Thank you. Adam

Hi Painters, So heres the thing - im painting an 800 Iberia livery and the Iberia "B" logo is italicized to the left. The logo and "IBERIA" letters all go in the same direction on any part of the plane except the right side of the tail. In this location, the same "B" is slanted to the left instead of the right. This is the only placement where the logo is like this in order for it to fit normally on the tail. My Question: how do i get the logo to slant the other way??? 1 - I have tried flipping it in all directions, but this does not change the slant, this changes the angle 2 - I have tried Skewing the logo but it ends up looking funny. Cold be a trick …

I finally took the plunge and upgraded my system from the AMD 965 Black Edition to the new Ivy Bridge i7-3770K with some GSkill TridentX Ram (2666!!) and the Sabertooth MB w/Z77 chipset. I did a fresh format of my FSX SSD and my System SSD. I have not done any overclocking .... yet !!! I have just reinstalled FSX, and of course my first add-on was the NGX. I haven't done any FSX tweaks, and just for kicks, I loaded up the NGX at my home base. It loaded fast as hell, but the visuals were horrific. All I can say is I really must have had the other install really dialed in. I just realized the scope of the work ahead of me (and this is after two and a half days of b…

I just EXCA all set up and I like the effects but I have one big problem. Before I started using EZCA, to pan around from any view I would hold the space down and move my mouse to look. Then letting go of the space bar the view would stay locked wherever I was looking. Now with EZCA installed, whenever I use the space bar and mouse to look around, the view snaps back after I release the space bar. In other words, the view wont stay locked on whatever it is I want to look it. Please help!!!

How do I change the default settings for the barometer? What I mean is, that every time I start the 737 NGX I change it from inHg to hPa. And I have to change it two different places. It would be awesome if I didn't have to change it every time I start up the airplane.

hi, i have had this problem a couple of times so im pretty sure iam doing something wrong... during my final approach i turn off the speed mode on the mcp but the the auto throttle on arm but the problem that I have had is that just before touchdown the aircraft decides it doesnt want to land at all and spools up the engines which results in a missed approach... really annoying... what migt i be doing wrong? my thought is that i move te throttles to idle before the pfd tells me to, can that cause this behaviour? /Niklas

The only time I've ever had this happen too: Autopilot disconnected, FDs are on, Autothrottle off. After the hard left bank to line up with the runway the aircraft seemed to hard over to the right, and caused a horrible crash landing. I went again and tried the same approach and it did it again, a hard over to the right. The weather was very bad, but not windy. I'll try another approach tonight at a different airport, but has anyone ever experienced the NGX to have a mind of it's own on occasion?
