PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I'm building a cockpit and using the NGX to set up all of my routes, test scenery, hardware, etc. I bought an i-pad and wanted an EFB. My routes are all Australian, so I bought OzRunways. It is an awesome program, but I've had a great deal of trouble getting it to work. Through the efforts of Rowan from OzRunways, I finally did. A new version, 2.8.1 came out today and it's a bottler. If anybody wants a complete EFB, this has got to be the one. I also bought the FSWidgets EFB, FS Kneeboard 2 and trialled a few others, but the content in OzRunways left the opposition for dead, in my opinion. Great program, great support, Frank Cooper

Hello all. I want to setup 2D without VC. I use EZdok Camera 1.17 also I use ATI eyeinfinty (res. 4116x1024). This is my 2D view setup. I made my panel.cfg setup for 2D view. I deleted in panel.cfg VC SECTION, all [VCockpit XX]. Also I disabled 2d main view, you can see on screen what I enable, all others not show in default 2d view. But, when I switch to 2D view and move joy hat (right corner or left corner) on my joy , VC still exist. I want to disable VC (to get more fps). Is possible to do that? Thanks for help and any advice.

Attached picture can better tell you my issue with the HUD. It is hard to keep the display centered, and also the green info display is like hiding partially behind cockpit control panel. any advice? Thanks!

Sorry, but with all the different S-Packs that have been released, I do not remember about the 737-8900 and 737-6700 installation sequence (I'm not talking about re-installation) am I correct if I proceed with the following sequence for the 737-8900 (that excludes SP1 + SP1b) : 1) PMDG 737 8900 NGX RTM.exe 2) PMDG 737 8900 NGX SP1c.exe same thing for the 737-6700 : 1) PMDG 737 6700 NGX RTM.exe 2) PMDG 737 6700 NGX SP1c Update.exe just want to make sure Merci

Hi everyone, Currently doing flights high up in the north of Canada, where one of the approach plates shows to reference true north. I know that the 747 has a switch to change from magnetic to true heading but I can't find such one on the 737. I have searched the FCOM vol 1 and 2 which only states how the diiference between TRUE and MAGNETIC are represented on the different displays. I looked here in the forum but got only 1 outdated topic which didn't cover my question. Also looked around the cockpit but have no clue where to find this switch So, does anyone knows how to switch from MAGNETIC to a TRUE heading with the 737 ? (have not checked FMS yet) …

Hi! Just bought a new computer, and i'm experiencing (what i believe to be) bad performance in FSX when running the NGX. My specs are: Intel 3570K Zotac GTX670 8 GB ram Nothing is overclocked. I'm anywhere from 15 to 30 fps in the VC on the ground at most urban airports, averaging at about 20-25 with autogen disabled and FSX on generally mid settings. Resolution is 1680x1015. When i view the aircraft from the outside, or with 2D panels its a bit better (30-40FPS) but still not what i expected... I have no other addons running. Both NGX and FSX is up to date. Is there something wrong here, or do i just need to lower my expectations? Ending up wit…

Hello. I am unsure if this video has already been posted - if it has been, excuse me - but it demonstrates the Rockwell HGS quite nicely. The video briefly shows and explains an approach to Innsbruck's runway 26 in a based simulator. What's really interesting is to see how terrain and other things are displayed in green on the HGS with regards to low visiblity conditions. I am not certain if some of the capabilites seen in this video are planned for the NGX one day, if it's possible to recreate these in the framework of FSX at all and the 737 HGS provides these options in reality. Is there an alternative fix to the NGX autopilot v weather autopilot problem other than purchasing the expensive FSUIPC addon? I have paid for both the NGX/FS2CREW and REX essential and don't think it is fair or reasonable to spend more on a problem that should not be occurring with the NGX. Yesterday's short 1 hour flight was unbearable from takeoff to landing with uncommanded yaw from the ailerons here and there all the way from climb to descent and landing, eventually I had to switch off FSX before my flight made sim news.

Like for most of you, I guess, for me the first flights in the ngx were not the easiest. More complicated, programming the fmc, flight characteristics, etc. it was a sleep learning curve. But yesterday I tried the fsx default 737 on a short flight, just for fun, just to get the old feeling back. Well, that was once and never again!!! Like switching from a Rolls Royce to a Citroen 2cv. Hi all, I think i must just be being dumb, can you help? I have an .rte file which i would like to load into the FMC, but i can't work out how to do it and i cant find it in the manuals. May i point out that I know how to input a flight plan into the FMC, but how do i load a pre-constructed .rte file?

I am getting problems when loading in saved flights. The following message appears - "Destination not found in selected .rte file. Import aborted.". I have looked at the the .rte files concerned and cannot see any difference between the ones that won't load and those that do. I flew EGKK to LOWI with a -800 and saved the flight a couple of times. Each time the flight loaded OK. When returning LOWI to EGHH, I saved the flight a couple of times, but got the above error message when trying to load the flight in. Any advice, guys? Chris Hall

Hi Captains, Last time I get ANTI-ICE message on annunciation panel (and master caution light) after landing. I have all anti-ice switches off, weather is fine (no rain, mist, temperature above 10 degrees), all failures are disabled. I have no idea why I get this message, I've never had it before after landing Maybe you can help me understand this behavior. All best!

Hey folks, While i cant wait for the upcoming triple 7 i cant stop enjoying the ngx. So my questions are: 1) what is the correct way of using anti ice when at the departure airport the temperature is above10 degrees C? When reaching to the air and the temperature is below 10 i should turn it on? 2) i'm using fs2crew and was wondering what is the correct way of using the vhf, hf and flt, when calling the ground i know i should switch for the Flt, if i seitch it for Flt can the controller hear me? After finishing the pushback what should i switch to? If someone can explain it detailed i'll very appreciate. Thanks.

What sort of touch-down rate should you be aiming for with the NGX on landing. By that I mean -xxx feet ??

Hi all does any1 have a fix for jagged black lines on the wings when looking as a passenger.The ngx is the only addon aircraft i get this with also all other views are crisp an clear off jagged graphics. PS i love the ngx an this is my only problem with her. sould i alter the cfg file wideviewaspect to true?. regards danny.

Hi to everybody ,I need some help or simply an explication for my doubts.... When I start flight with NGX in VC to see a correct part I have to zoom out until 40%....but at 40% zoom I notice that the dimension of the runway is not real anymore,so my question is: Is there a way to have the outside scenery at 100% zoom and VC at 40%....???? maybe with some setting in panel.cfg or in aircraft.cfg ???? Hi, I have a RXP WX500 weather radar gauge that I would like to use with the NGX. What I would like to do is to move the wxr gauge to a second computer (laptop), networked with the FSX one. My questions are: 1) Is it possible through simconnect or should I use another software? 2) Is it possible to do that *WITHOUT* switching FSX into windowed mode, that is, leaving FSX in full screen mode? Hi I have parched PMGD 737 NGX 800/900. I understand that there are some upgrades for this product, but I can't figure out what exactly to download and upgrade and in what order. There is : 737 -600/700 NGX Expansion Package SP1c Update for the 737 -600/700 NGX Expansion Package SP1c (FSX) Should I install this upgrade for my PMGD 737 ngx 800/900 that I parched ?
