PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    Hello folks, Getting real close to programming FMC etc. for flights. Currently basic IFR flights etc. One question: I can set the heading on my AP, but the 737 is always off 2 - 4 degrees...just will not go to the heading I've set in AP.... What am I not doing correctly - again, only using FMC for pushback and opening doors. Thanks for helping a newby. Have a blessed day. cthiggin

    hi guys, been a long time but here goes. i was flying the pmdg 737-700ng easy jet from brussels to gatwick and realised after setting up the fmc properly i clciked on crz button as i just wanted to make sure the speed restriction 250/10000ft was enbaled so i do not get fined in fs passengers however it did not say this, what it did asy was flap/speed, i was unsure on what to do as i didnt know if the plane was goin to go 250k below 10000ft could someone explain to me why this happened. many thanks bilal

    Not a big deal, i just noticed that there is quit a difference between the headmovements from the pilot and copilot using the same effects with ezdok. The copilot's head shakes a lot more then the pilot if i switch views. anybody knows why? greetings, Ton v.Dongen

    in an ocation of a crash, how can you know the reason for that? i mean, you fly, approaching landing or just cruzing, and then you crash (hipoteticly) . fsx gives you the green stripe saying you crashed (for a couple of seconds), and restarts the flight. how can you investigate it more? thanks

    I have been flying the PMDG 737 NGX since release and have never had any real issues until today. As usual completed all the relevant set up took off from EGPF runaway 23 and the autopilot would not engage. I have had situations when it has taken a bit of time for the CMD to "light up" however today I did not want to know, after 15min I gave up. Has anybody got any ideas what the problem was?     Hi folks, I've encountered the strangest problem while trying to get the NGX 800/900 to work. Keep in mind I have successfully activated and re-activated the PMDG 737 800/900 NGX package (as well as FSX) using authentic product keys. Upon loading, all guages are only half initialized. For the most part, text is not being rendered on the displays in the cockpit, with the exception of the FMC. Some of the base textures on things like the EADI and EHSI are visible. Toggling the battery on the overhead panel does nothing. Restoring the Default Panel configuration using the FMC does nothing. The instruments just sit in this state, well after the intializ…

    Hi, I wondered whether you guys could take a look at this screenshot of my NGX and help me diagnose the problem. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/28892583/NGX.png I have be using the NGX with ezdok and track IR for a long time with no problems. Then suddenly, this problem arises. I have deleted the fsx.cfg and let it rebuild. Resolved problem but only for a few minutes. I have also configured ezdok, in case that is the issue. Thanks for any advice

    have FSX on its own dedicated SSD drive. That drive has now failed. When I backed up my FSX folder some files were not possible to copy. Got an error message about can't read file. Retrying didn't help. Among these files were these related to PMDG E020N40.DEM E020N90.DEM E060N90.DEM W020N40.DEM W020N90.DEM W060N90.DEM W100N40.DEM What kind of files are these? Can they be manually restored after the whole FSX restore ? Jan Friberg

    Hello, i was reading the manual, and it is stated there that box prompts are a required data to be inputed and dash prompts are optional. I went to the RTE page, where origin airport is in dash prompts and destination is in box prompts, tried to set only destination airport, but one can't do it, you must set the origin first. It is quite logical, that the fmc needs both points for its route managment, but why then use different prompts ?

    No cautions, no warnings visible anywhere however the last two flights have generated a beep beep beep warning that lasts until I shut down. The beep warning is similar to that of throttle advancement when not in take off config. Anyone had a similar issue? Maybe I need to reinstall? Jas

    Hey Captains! I just randomly found a video on youtube which I wanted to share with you. You can hear a discussion with the F/O about FSX on that video and see some parts of the preflight procedures. It totally shows how detailed the PMDG 737 NGX is. I love my NGX I hope you enjoy!

    Hi. I had to re-install all of my sims on a new rig. When i choose the NGX in free flight, i get a black screen, like i can't see the plane. but if i select flight, i can hear all the sounds like it's working and all but i still get a black screen. i'm a bit stumped. Tx, Allan

    Hi, a question concerning cabin pressurization: I have both bleeds on, both packs auto, pressurization set to auto. Flight level and dest aerodrome alt are set. Now, whenever I climb above FL370, the pressure diff will hit the yellow area. Is that normal? I remember having seen a vid with an NG cruising at FL410 with the oressure diff just about to hit the yellow area. What gives?

    In the good old PMDG 747-400 there were these small and nice animations like the movable chairs, working sun visors etc. and you could go to the cabin from the VC. I was a bit disappointed that in the NGX there were none of these. huh. (And BTW. off-topic will the new 777/ 747 v.2 have these?)

I have recently experienced a problem with the 737NGX pressurization system, entirely my fault: The Pressurization Mode Selector (ironically, PMS) on the Digital Cabin Pressure Control System (DCPCS) was set to Manual. On my initial overhead scan, I completely missed the "MANUAL" light (perhaps because it was green), and continued on. About 3500 meters up, I encountered what sounded like the takeoff configuration aural warning, obviously sparking some confusion.     I have owned my 737NGX for a few months now and absolutely love it with over 200 hours logged behined the stick already! I just have a couple of questions regarding the operation of the MCP and the FMC: 1: How do you update the nav data in the FMC? 2: How do you get the glide slope data to be displayed on the map? I have seen this done in many videos as well as real life... on the appoach I should be able to display a picture of the glide slope and terrain on the bottom of the map display but I can't figure this out.     Hi Guys! I have a little problem with the NGX! I tried to fly on line on IVAo and i used IVAP and the weather engine of IVAP. Soon after take off and flap retraction the plane started to bump up and down and the speed started to increase and decrease like there is a really strong turbolence. It is so strong that te autopilot disconenct and the plane start to roll till stalling. I gave the fault to the weather engne of IVAo so i disbaled it and started the flight again using AS2012 but i had the same problem after flap retraction i started to have the plane nose moving up and down.     Hi!First of all; Thanks again for an amazing product. I've never been enjoying flying so much as I've done since the release of the NGX... :hi:However, I'll got a small problem. I dunno if it is my screen which it's wrong with, but my instruments and the outdata on my panel is "jagged" and could be hard to read when not zoomed in. I got a 17" monitor and I use catalyst control center to control my graphics. However, I actually don't got any good setting in catalyst so I've tried to find good setting by myself (which I've probably failed with...).On this picture, you'll see the instruments which is pretty jagged.     Folks: Would someone tell me what this alarm is and how to silence it. Load the default panel (engines running, etc). Then fail the AC STBY BUS. Wait a few secs and you will get the alarm. Thanks! James

    I lodged a support ticket about 12 hours ago at http://support.precisionmanuals.com but no response as yet. The content of support ticket is as follows:- "I've previously installed the NGX a couple of times on my old computer. Now I have new computer and it wont let me activate. Says "Max Extra Activations Exceeded" or something like that. I uninstalled the NGX from my old computer and yet I still cant activate on my new computer! Can you please reset my activations?" Can anyone shed some light on how/when I can activate? Seems no one actually mans the support site of a weekend.

    I think this is the most difficult part of the flight, how to properly touch down while landing. Of course a good " grease " is a nice show but I was told that the most important thing is to land her down when needed, even if the impact is not very soft. So, how can we gauge the touch down strenght when landing ? Sometimes, ( I bet everyone of us experienced it at least few times above all in the early flights ) , it happens to crash the NG due to excessive impact strenght while landing. Thx
