PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

hello guys I am new to the forum and the ngx and I was just needed some clarification please. During tutorial 2 I was testing the cargo fire system, on the tutorial it states that after I push the master fire warn system to cancel the bell, The FWD, AFT, DETECTOR FAULT, EXTINGUISHER, and DISCH lights all stay illuminated. however I get the AFT, FWD, DISCH and green EXTINGUISHER lights but not the DETECTOR FAULT LIGHT in the right corner above the DISCH. I was just wondering if I have missed something or if that is normal. sorry if this has already been asked or is a stupid question, thank you.

Chris, I tried you latest bump map files, but do not see a difference. In the attached screenshots, the red aircraft has the bump map files copied into it's texture folder. The other aircraft is the default PMDG livery for comparison. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello everyone, I've got a serious problem! After nearly one year of using the NGX that activation window pops up and when I try to enter the activation code it comes up with a message like "initialisation failed" and fsx stops working! Has anyone an idea what to do rather than reinstall the whole NGX? Greetings from Germany, Sven Wendel

I can hear the gear rumble even after I lift off.... I haven't swapped any of the sounds for anything else, either. Any ideas?

Hello, I just want to display the lower overhead panel on a second screen, which is mounted vertically above my primary monitor. Cause I don’t need the edges which shows the i.e. eyebrow windows, I drew the window to the second screen, with the edges outside the visible part of the monitor. So far, so good. A short wile later, the right part of the lower overhead panel freezes. If I downsize the window, so that you can see the whole window, the panel is too small to see it clearly. I think the problem is non-visible part of the window. So my question is: It it possible, to cut away the edges of the overhead panel which are showing the eyebrow windows and respe…

Having looked at this new release I have to ask, Is RAAS a common fit in a 737 8?

I am having a constant beeping sound during cruise. I know it must be related to the altitude selection in the flight altitude. I have the altitude set for my current cruise altitude, but the beep continues. What am I doing wrong? Help will be appreciated. Thank you. Michael

I have a sort of huge problem with the PMDG B738. When i load the aircraft engines are running, everything seems to be on, the PFD, MFD and eicas is lightened up but there is no text in those instruments. On pfd i can't see airspeed, altitude, at mfd i can't see any airports, waypoints or true airspeed + ground speed, or any wind. At eicas i can see the n1 circle but i can't see the percentage. Also i can't see the numbers on the autopilot, although it seems like i can set the autopilot. Would be very happy if anyone have any idea what could be wrong:)

I have a thrustmaster warthog hotas and as soon as i start the engines on my ngx the keyboard goes dead and its unusable, i thought maybe there was a conflict with ezdok but if i unplug the throttle everything works fine its gotta be a conflict somewhere but i can figure it out, thx for any help

I would like a definitive answer from someone at PMDG regarding Service-based Failures. Do you need to save the panel state at the end of each flight in order to see a drop in various fluid levels/experience service-based failures? Or can you simply select to have the failures simulated but started from a "Warm" panel state each flight? I know many people choose to have the default panel state load as a "Ready from engineering" or "Ready from previous flight" format. But I also know that some people save the panel state before exiting FSX and load it into each new flight. I have seen people mention that hydraulic and/or oil gets low eventually but I have not s…

Hi everyone. As you can tell, I'm a newbie. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I would get decent fps with the NGX on the following system: AMD A10 (Quad core) 2.3 Ghz OC'd to 3.2. AMD 7730M 2 GB GPU, 6GB 1600MHZ DDR3 RAM, 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive. Any help is much appreciated as I'd rather not spend $110 on an addon that will give me a slideshow. I'd like to see at least 22 fps 90% of the time.

How do I view the throttle in the 2D screen? I looked and must be missing it because I cannot find how anywhere. Thank you Michael

When deploying the speed brakes the speed brake armed light is on but not the speed brake deployed. Is there a fix for this ?

Hi GUys !! I have this problem with the 737! I install the product with the latest service pack then i install the liveries i need and i start the simulator and all is ok ! Then after two three day using the plane i install another livery and when i load the plane i have the DLL of the panell that ask to be loaded i click on run the plane is loaded when i click on start flight the panel doesnt initialize and crash to desktop so i always have to disinstall the plane and install it again and it is already 100 times i do it. I've been flying FSX for several years, mainly with the default 737. I've recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX and I've got a question about something that happens in the real world vs the Sim world. On approach I've noticed in real life 737-800's, the speed brakes extend intermittantly and almost like the outer speed break extends less than the inner speed break. As far as I can tell, sometimes the left side speed breaks extend when the right sides do not. It's almost like they are linked to other controls and controlled by the Autopilot. After flying the 737 for several months Im at the point where I can cold n dark start and fly it anywhere with SIDS and STARS . using voxatc as airtraffic control. However Im starting to feel a bit flat and bored to be honest so I am interested in suggestions as to where to focus for more immersion. What do some of the more hard core flyers do to plan, fly and execute the perfect flight? and importantly how long do you allow for the flight planning?

While reading a NTSB Accident Report on a American Airlines MD-83 at Bradley CT in November 1995 I came across a footnote that indicated AAL’s company policy was to set the crew members altimeter to ONH and the standby altimeter to QFE below 10000 feet. Hi All, My Command A button will not light and turn on the autopilot after takeoff---I have a flight plan entered in the FMC (which I build in FSBuild--the auto throttle is on, the flight director is on, I can get the speed button to light, I can get the LNAV to light---and after flying for maybe 5 min I can sometimes get the command light in one of the four buttons to light---help Cheers Dorn Cranert

Hello everyone, I'm trying to reconcile the results I get when I use the PMDG payload loader and the values that are found in the 737-600 aircraft.cfg in the weight and balance section. Here's my understanding of that section. Each station that carries payload whether it is passengers or cargo is presented with a maximum weight allowed for that station, In the screen below the 737-600 aircraft.cfg indicates that the maximum for these five stations are as follows (in pounds): For Cabin = 2625 Mid Cabin = 4025 Aft Cabin = 4725 For Cargo = 2800 Aft Cargo = 3300 TOTAL =17475 If I use the PMDG payload screen and choose SET FULL I get the followi…
