Always something new ;-) I enjoyed many flawless hours on my NGX, but suddenly I have that issue when I takeoff or landing on all my airports I always hear that MM, OM, or IM sound. I'm sure that sound hasn't existed on my flights before I noticed that a few days ago. Could also be possible I have ignored it over one year since I have the NGX, but I cannot imagine that ;-) I really don't know why this sound comes up suddenly. I don't have changed anything in my FSX. Can anybody explain me how to turn this stuff off? Thanks alot :-) Nicolas Reich

PMDG StaffIn regard of FSUIPCIf I understand, maybe I am wrong, everybody here use FSUIPC not only to setup NGX but for every aircraft we use, wich help us to set correctly all add-on like squawkbox, fscrew, AS 2012, spad to interface Mutipanel, button, keybord, hardware like saitek rudder, yoke, quadrant and etc.Did i forgot something?I am aware that if I setup axis in FSUIPC can cause problem to NGX but I don't see other solution to set correctly all FSX universe. So if I have to follow the rule when I use NGX I have to install saitek driver and use FSX setup, wich is really worse, because you can't set flap, thrust and spoiler correctly, and with the handicap of using t…

  4. I have been practicing some engine failure shortly after take-off, using the QRH to manage the situation. Not easy with only one soul in the cockpit ! Things usually work out. However, this has lead to low pressure in hydraulic pumps and losing the ability to lower flaps. QRH indicates this can happen. I had to use the alternate electric system to lower slats / flaps. My questions: - is there a away to avoid this situation (reducing demand on the system). - is this normal, ie should I expect this to happen each time one engine fails (in this case, engine 2). Thanks for your expert help Jean-Marc

I had to re install FSX and the ngx about a week ago after my hard drive was formatted. After I re-installed the aircraft, I've been having some problems with the FMC. 1.) When I try to save a route (this happens before and after executing the route), the Execute button highlights, but when I press it, nothing happens, and I'm forced to press the erase LSK key to continue my flight planning. 2.) The options I set don't save. Earlier, for every liver I chose, I could change the options, displays and the pause at top of decent settings to my liking from the FMC, and the next time I loaded the aircraft with the same livery, my changes were saved. Now, the changes I…

  6. Hi all. OK...Been flying the 737NGX for about a month (what a rig...no more default aircraft!), use the FS2Crew 737NGX Voice Control (way too cool), got a Turtle Beach Px3 headset and TrackIR5, and now it's time to ditch (pardon the pun) FSX's ATC. What plays nice with my setup? Got plenty of 'puter- just want something that's not going to compromise it. I would like to have something voice controlled, but don't know how that will effect FS2Crew. Oh, and I don't want to have to startup boo-koo programs before FSX- something that gets recognized when FSX starts up (unlike my current RC4.3). Too much to ask? Thanks!

Could anyone please provide a step by step method on getting liveries onto Flt SimX PMDG 737-800 Aircraft?.....I tried with no success using the procedure from the PMDG livery installation at their website, Installing liveries are a first time for me, it seems the PMDG website installation is for someone who already knows how to do the install because there are somethings they are not telling you, I would much appreciate it, also please let me know if an unzip manager needs to be used with the install. Thanks Bob

Hey all, I have been running a core i5 760 which won't OC past 3.4ghz due to a bad mobo. I have just bought a 2500k and decent mobo with the aim of OCing to 4.4ghz...but I've realised the IB chips are out. Have I just bought a slow piece of tech or will the SB 2500k do me for some time? Thanks.

I've been trying some high-altitude takeoffs lately, and so I downloaded a freeware scenery package for ZUBD in China, which is not in the default FSX database. However, I wasn't able to plan a flight from there using the NGX, because it's not in its Nav Database either. Is there anyway I can insert it into the Navigation Database for the NGX? Would getting the latest Navigraph cycle work? Thanks, boeing247

Hi guys, Well, I tried to upload a pic to show you better my problem with 737ngx liveries but i was unable to post by the system don't know why. Anyway, what happens is that i had to uninstall 737ngx a few months ago because of a problem on my laptop. I also had to uninstall other PMDG add-ons such as B747 and MD-11. I followed all the steps explained here on the forum about a proper uninstall of pmdg software, meaning: I runned the .exe file always with Admin Mode, I deleted the lines related to PMDG on fsx.cfg file etc.. When I installed the same add-ons again, they all worked fine except the 737NGX. The default PMDG livery works fine on FSX and the cockpit sh…

  13. Dear all, I also have the known problem with the PMDG 737 NGX that A/T and VNAV disengages randomly when the TOGA button is pressed and the throttle axis is calibrated through FSUIPC. The general recommendation to cure the issue is to turn off the calibration of the throttle axis in FSUIPC. What is the easiest way to turn off the calibration in FSUIPC? Just to uncheck 'Send direct to FSUIPC calibration' and to check 'Send to FS as normal axis' on the 'Axis Assignment' tab? Thanks for your help, Ulrich

Hello, Have to first of all say a huge thankyou to the PMDG team for the outstanding job they have done with the NGX. What would be wonderful to see fixed in B737 NGX, is a problem when you fail a "complete" Hydraulic system A or Hydraulic system B (say by failing the Engine Driven Pump 1 and Electric Driven Pump 2 to fail system A), the flight spoilers (Roll) should have only two on either wing operating instead of four on each wing. Funny enough the speed brake does it job with the failure and only two of the four stood up (didn't check to see if the the correct ones failed). Another one I noticed is when you put the Packs from Auto to High when the APU is r…

  15. Hey there, I have bought a new PC and had to do a clean reinstall of everything, including FSX, the 747NGX etc. It all works fine now, except this time round the Liveries Manager does not work properly. I can select and install liveries with no error message, however they never show up in FSX - only the default PMDG ones. On closer inspection of the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737.... directories I can see that the livery files are there all right, but the aircraft.cfg file has not been changed a bit. An aircraft.cfg_old has been created, and according to the time stamp a new aircraft.cfg has been written, but it is completely unchanged from the original one…

  16. Hola Amigos, While flying the NGX the wind noise sounds in cockpit changes - it rises and falls in volume dramatically. Like someone playing with volume knob. No other of the sounds do this - ATC, warnings sirens, engines are all "steady" in volume. Do any of my flight simulator amigos have this happening to them? Is there a way to make it stop doing the rising and falling volume? This does not seem realistic to be happening. Also, if you go to outside view, no fluctuation(?) in sound only cockpit. Gracias, Jose Enrique Gaviota

I was wondering about the use of both wing anti-ice and the engine in cold weather. I have a few questions. I know the wing ice can use a lot of resources from the bleed air, created from the engines. Is it wise to take off with the bleed switches on and the anti-ice on? I know the Anti-Ice should be on after engine start were possible. The same question could be asked about the cowl engine. How often should the AI be used on desent and final approach. Again bleeds on or off? Joolsd

I'm frustrated. I'm experiencing more than usual crashing while trying to perform flights with the ngx lately. It started 3 weeks ago, without warning it would suddenly crash to desktop in the middle of a flight. But tonight it has crashed 4 times before I even got off the ground! It happens when I go into the EZDOK or FSUIPC menu or hit the ( key to try and save progress. Not sure what is causing this.

Hi ! I'm often flying online with the PMDG on IVAO network. So i have to listen very carefully to the messages of the ATCs. But the sounds (particulary the wind sound when in flight) is to high because when i landed the quiet come back. So in flight, i often can't understand what the ATC is saying. I tried to reduce the numbers in the FMC (page SOUND), but that isn't reducing the volume. Please how can i do to reduce the volume of the wind when flying in the NGX ? Many thanks guy !!! I quite usually come across flight plans with the airway repeated multiple times. For example, the route for KPHL to KLAX: PTW PTW320 SARAA J64 RAV J64 EWC J64 PUB J64 PGS RIIVR2 Note that J64 is repeated multiple times. How is this supposed to be entered into the FMC in the RTE page? (or Legs, whichever applies) Cheers guys,

Before the FAF fix When I enter a value for flap/Vref value for wind correction of half headwind, when selecting flaps 1 the managed speed drops from 19x to 18x as if its subtracting the wind component. I thought it was supposed to add the wind component of the flap/Vref speeds ? Can anyone confirm or have I mis understood something here ? Thanks Voj
