Hi Sometimes I have a problem with the NGX where the engines don't spin. They are fully functioning, but they don't spin, they just stay static from the exterior view. When starting up, you can see the smoke puff out of the back when they start up, but the fans don't spin. Also when this happens I've noticed the centre piece from the engine (don't know what they're called!) can't be seen, it's just like a white circle where they should be. Anyone else get this? I will try and post a screenie next time it happens! Martin

Hi there, I was working on a paint for the NGX. I know it is WIP and some issues are not being solved. Anyway, the fuselage is not glowing but is looks matt. I have saved it as dxt5 .dds and no mipmaps. So how can I make the fuselage glowing? Erik

I am trying to do a flight with the 737NGX following FSX ATC (yes, I know, FSX ATC sucks so let's not get into that but stay on topic ^_^ ). The problem is that I do know how to fly the 737NGX in 'automatic' mode, so how everything goes after completely setting up the FMC and let the plane do all the flying automatically. However, as soon as I have to do something different and I want to switch to flying still with the autopilot but with manually entered settings (so ignoring the FMC) I am totally lost... In the Airbus X for instance I can go to HDG mode while speed and alt are still in managed mode. I can simply change the altitude and the plane will change alt while…

Thought you guys might like to know that we just fixed that weird small jump in the flap animation as they come up into the fully retracted position. We noticed the 777 doing it too (more pronounced in that case because they're bigger) and RSR just tracked down the cause in the code this afternoon - expect that for SP2!

Hi Flight Simmers! I just got the PMDG 737-800/900 because everybody says it is a really good jet. But I have a problem that REALLY bugs me. The problem is that I can only use the plane for about 2 or 3 minutes until it enters skeleton mode and gives me a OOM message. Sometimes the plane enters skeleton mode before I even start a flight (still in the Free Flight screen). Hi, just one question before entering the FSX century (Yes I am still on FS9) Is it possible to have the VC open on the main monitor, while displaying/operating the 2D overhead panel and/or 2D FMC on a second/third monitor? I`ve get this message. "The activation of the fulfillment is denied by the activation policy because max extra activations exceeded" each time i enter the activation code. I emailed PMDG (opened a Ticket) asking for the reactivation code but all i got is Extended download procedures and cost. What dont i get?

Hi guys, those of us who always try to enhance the realism of our flights will know that before every takeoff, the pilots will calculate a reduction of engine thrust to lower stress on the engines and reduce both fuel burn and noise. This calculation involves factors like runway length, wind, pressure, runway condition, slope and airplane weights, of course. Now, there is one excellent tool for this - TOPCAT. I noticed that there is provision in the CDU/FMC Descent Page to enter in a WPT/ALT Restriction for any part of the Descent Phase. However, it will not accept any input? Just checking to see if I am in error operationally, or, is the provision just eye-candy and is non functioning? Appreciate any assistance/clarification. PS: I've even attempted to enter details into the field during MOD ECON DES, but still doesn't accept any input. Rgds, Steve

Hi Guys, I've been struggling to find an answer to my question so thought I would start this topic. Sorry if this has already come up before. I want to load my 737 back to where I left it. For example, I flew from A to B and it was 3 hours. So time to my next service is now 247 instead of the 250 when I first started flying the aircraft. How do I save the aircraft so that when I do my next flight from B to C I will start with 247 hours left until next service? Thanks

Version 3.5.2012 REX latest Not seeing any wind readings in my upper left ND PMDG 738NG. Running REX as Admin all other weather diasbled FSINN etc. Still no joy with this. Have posted on REX as well. Anyone have a fix?

After starting FSX and when selecting 737NGX I have a skeleton of an aircraft with flight deck, Engines etc showing as it revolves and no airframe to speak of. When selected I can see through chunks of the Flight Deck that are missing so it is difficult to fly (with all the light and air rushing through and into the Flight Deck)...Can anything be done to sort it?

This is aimed primarily at the NGX development team, but if anyone else has any suggestions feel free. I'm looking to map the HGS lower/raise function to an axis on one of my throttle quads, but it isn't that simple. The biggest problem is that FSUIPC (which I'm using to do the mapping) doesn't allow a keyboard press on an axis map. FSUIPC only allows button presses as keyboard emulations, which means even if I assign a keyboard key to the HGS through the CDU options page, I can't then assign that keyboard key to the lever axis through FSUIPC. The only list of functions I can assign through an axis are the FS Actions that come with FSUIPC. Since the HGS is a cust…

Hello, I recently did a trip from Las Vegas KLAS to Los Angeles KLAX, using departures and arrivals as follows. 25R Departure 25R Arrival Using BOACH4.HEC ... HEC.RIIVR2 All goes well until approach, where at SHELL, the plane just starts to dive into the ground, no disconnects, or mode changes. I have to quickly go into Vertical Speed and set it to not crash. Monitoring the approach, the descent path is perfect, well at least until SHELL. Hopefully this is user error here. I tried the same flight twice to the same end. And insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Adam Blanchette
