PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi! Suddenly my 737 NGX panel become of low quality (just a part of it). I did not do any chages to my system and everything was fine before. I use Nvidia inspector and tried to set all settings to default, but it didn`t help. Reinstallation did not help too. In FSX settings, panel quality is set to max. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hey there. I just purchased the NGX package for FSX and let me say that I am quite pleased. Hands down the best add-on package for FS IMHO. Anyways, my question is, is there suppose to be a "PMDG" drop down menu in the main ALT menu bar? Normally there is one for other add-ons and would allow you to do stuff like change the panel state to cold and dark or add ground connections (which I know you can add the trucks from the FMC) and other things but I notice now that there is no PMDG menu in the ALT menu bar. Is this normal or is there something wrong? Thanks, Nick.

While I'm in flight the plane will start shaking violently and it's speed will drop just above stalling speed. Does any body else have this problem and does anyone no how to fix it. I recognized that it tends to do it most when REX is converting the weather files. I don't know if that's the problem or not.

Hello everyone, I apologies if this has been posted before but I ran a search on Google and can't seem to find my particular problem. I fly the NGX 737-800wl and only get SOME of the GPWS callouts. I'll hear the "2500" call out, "1000", "100", "50", "30", "20", and "10". I don't get 40 or any of the other numbers missing from my list. Am I doing something wrong??? Getting to grips with tutorial 2 at the moment. 1) I can't seem to start the sim in the 'cold and dark' setting. Even when saving it in the panel save in the CDU. Whenever I start, the engines are running and the panels are up and running. The 2nd tutorial suggests I start the 'Tutorial 2 #2 EHAM-LOWI' option . 2) Where is the 'GENERATOR 1 and 2' switches on the overhead panel ?...having real difficulty finding it. 3) Is there a way to start tutorial 2 with all the panels and MCP setup correctly allready ?...I have tried the other tutorials like takeoff...pushback..none of them have the cockpit setup ..whats the point of them ? thanks...

Hi everyone My last 4 flights into EGKK have been disasterous as on late finals and as i cross the threshold at 50ft to rwy 26L at EGKK my PMDG737NG suddenly rolls and crashes. I have experienced this a few time before at other airports in SA too. Has anyone experienced this before an if so what is causing it? Any pointers ould be appreciated. Rory Hickson

I have a problem with the 600. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it more than once. I have made sure all updates are applied. If I start a flight loading the 900, wait until loaded and stable, then switch to the 600, FSX goes graphics wacky and locks up. I've implemented all Kostas's recommendations plus the PMDG setup recommendations as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys Finally bought myself a rig thats capable of running FSX with real nice fps and graphics. Today I bought the 737NGX with the additional 600/700. At the moment i'm trying to load up this awesome looking bird from a cold and dark situation. I enable the battery and the standby power. But I am unable to initialise the apu. I hold down the apu start switch to run till it clicks but the apu doesnt power up. And the needle in the display doesnt rise to show the apu power starting to run. I have all four fule pumps switched on and nothing happens. Even the FMC is blank. I have tried running the tutorial from the start and got to the point where I couldn't ev…

Hi everyone I purchase my PMDG 737 NGX a few days ago,amazing plane. The thing is im having a few problems with it,goes from when i change views the screen goes crazy like just goes black and white and stati and then when the screen comes back to normal everything disappears like plae,airport the all nine yards. ,When i minimize same thing happens,when i go to watch a instant replay again sometimes this happens to. Its getting to the point that im even affraid to change views at all,alot of the times i just have to restart the FS. Hello everyone, This is driving me nuts and it's hit and miss. I'm running 3 monitors. I am in full screen mode. I undock my PDF, ND and MCP and drag them and size them in my left monitor. Then I undock and drag the overhead to the upper monitor. So now I have everything sized and in full screen mode where I want them. Then I save the flight and call it..say 3 monitor setup. The problem is, if my FSX crashes or I have to restart for some reason and I load my 3 monitor setup the undocked positions aren't saved. I have to drag and re align all the windows again . Is there a proper way to do this that when a person loads in a flight, all these windows will be in their …

Hi everybody, I am new to this forum and reacently bought the awsome PMDG 737. I have twice read and tried to follow tutorial #1 by Ryan Maziarz to the letter and both times I encounter the same problem. After takeoff the 737 spirals steeply upwards in a 360 degree right hand turn to way above 10000 ft. Both LNAV and VNAV engages shortly after take off. I cant seem to find what I am doing wrong. Hi there, Can someone please help with the following: How can I set up one shortkey for the following different NGW views in the virtual cockpit: F/O seat Overhead Upper Panel Overhead Lower Panel Pedestal View I had this option activated in the past so that when I press "S" the next view was the virtual cockpit, and when I pressed "V" I could switch from Virtual Cockpit to F/O seat, Overhead Upper Panel and so on. Hello, This is a new problem for me that came out of nowhere. While on the ground my PMDG 737NGX now idles at 30% N1. It used to idle at 22%ish N1. Is it possible that I accidentally changed a setting somehow? Also, is it possible that the installation of the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended caused this somehow? I only mention this because my NGX problem started after I installed the Aerosoft Bus and I also have throttle problems with the Aerosoft Bus as well (this could be another issue altogether). Uninstalling the Aerosoft Bus did not fix my NGX problem. Thoughts? Thanks, James

I don't know how to calculate the assumed temperature or the flap setting I have to use for take off. At the moment I always try to estimate a number to get off from the runway safely. For example, in EDDF, having 4km of runway, I always take off with Flaps 5° and a very high assumed temperature. When taking off from TNCM with just 2km of runway, I usually use flaps 15° and a lower assumed temperature. But I assume that this is not the way pilots do it in reality Is there a software to calculate these things for the 737NG? Or is the FMC of the NGX somehow able to calculate these settings? How do you decide, which flap setting you use for take off and how much thrust?…

Hello, I've been having a problem with VNAV descents and thought I would check here for some help. At T/D with VNAV engaged the aircraft will start its descent as it should. After a few thousand feet the A/T applies full power and blows right through the target airspeed putting the aircraft in an overspeed situation resulting in a climb not a descent. What is happening here? What am I doing wrong? I did not have this problem in the tutorial. Thanks, James

Well I got FS Cabin Crew last night. When I get into cruise it says to turn off the fasten seatbelt sign in order for them to say the cruise message. I tried turning it off but that was unsuccessful in yielding the message. Is the chime button really an on/off switch for the sound or is it something else, I checked the PMDG manuals and couldn't figure it out. Is there anybody with the program that can help me with this?

When performing VOR approach, HEGN, RWY34 (PMDG 737-700) I'm facing an interesting challenge. The VOR approach is rather straight forward down to FAF. Despite its an old fashion approach I still think its quite instructive and exciting approach. What I find really difficult is basically to know in what way to initiate constant angle decent from FAF and down to MDA. (VNAV excluded!) Should I try using V/S based on my landing speed Vref -> listed in the chart? Level out at MDA and make decision? Sincerely -Geir

Hi I am trying to sett a offset to a physical button at the Saitek throttlequadrant. The offset is: 6444 size is one Byte name is: FCTL_YawDamper_Sw and control value is Bool (true or false)! It seems I'm getting a master caution and low pressure on both hydraulic systems. I don't have failures enabled and I've never gotten this message before. I'm having a tough time finding out what's really going on. Looking at the FCTM under section 8.23, it discusses hydraulics but only for landing... These manuals aren't very FSX friendly... they're more or less a direct copy of the real ones (which is great!) but I've got no idea what section or manual I should be reading to decipher this low pressure light. Can someone guide me to the correct manual?

After testing the NGX800WL version a couples of GO/Arounds in KLAX towards runway 07L with/without ILS and autoland i desided to try an in-flight engine failure/fire. 6 failures was active in the CDU reference to an engine fire This was done during descent from FL150 and i got the plane down so it was a success. Maybe the procedure was not 100% but i was following the QRH 8.2 and 7.26 as the plane was not equipped with Fail operationel this time. I then did the landing with FLAPS15+wind correction and did manage to have that extra speed incase of a G/A.
