Hello, I've searched the forum for answers, but I haven't found one. If there are forum threads addressing this, please let me know. I fly the real plane... when applying thrust, the nose pitches up aggressively. When reducing thrust, the nose drops aggressively. This is true during the flare: when thrust is reduced to idle, one has to "pull, pull, pull" on the yoke to raise the nose. But, in the PMDG simulation, the pitch really doesn't change much with thrust changes. The simulation is far too easy to land. In some cases, I don't even have to pull back to raise the nose. If I tried this in real-life, the nose would smack into the runway, nosewheel firs…

Hi All Apolgies if this is a stupid issue but I cant fathom it out... I have bought a 2nd hand overhead which has toggle switches connected into a BU386SX card. My registered copy of FSUIPC sees the switches fine so OK there. In my PMDG 737NGX I use the FMC to program in the Landing lights with a key and this works, repeat in FSUIPC and hey presto it works. Toggle switch on overhead on/off works great. I repeat for taxi light but this time despite it all looking good (even pressing the keyboard assignment in cockpit makes the light come on) and it showing in FSUIPC it just doesn't do anything and nether do the next load of setups I do.....the landing lights st…

Been flying the NGX a lot more recently and I've seen this twice now.. now.. I imagine it has something to do with ASN or something else because I'd say 99% of the time it behaves perfectly, and if I am honest (and I know this doesn't help) I can't really reproduce it either. But basically.. twice now the NGX has pulled up extremely violently.. to something ridiculous like 30 degrees pitch up.. a whole bunch of alarms go off and I disconnect the A/P... sort it all out.. reconnect it.. and it's as good as gold.. Now like I said I've only seen this twice and so far only in the NGX.. I did a quick search and since I can't find someone else who has seen this I'm wonderin…

Hi before i jump into the cockpit and start her up, i do alot of limitation checks before hand and below is on of them, The ATM... Enter and confirm the assumed temperature which reflects the maximum selected reduction available for takeoff. Assumed temperature thrust reduction shall be used with the exception of the following: TOW is within 500 kgs of the RTOW (1000kgs when obstacle limited) Can you'll explain the difference between MTOW and RTOW while calculating ? just not sure and need some help. thanks.

Hi everybody. The last few days I have gotten really interested in the NGX service based failures, I have been going around a few threads looking at what experiances different people are having. I personally think it is a brilliant idea PMDG came up with, its interesting that it is based on mean data from Boeing and not completly random. I was thinking of starting this thread for people to comment on what interesting failures they have had , how did you deal with the problem, maybe talk about which part of the QRH you referred to and do you think you were efficent at remedying the problem. To be honest it has been very quite for me in terms of failures, but I l…

Hello everybody, while in the initial climb today I reached my set altitude on the MCP then dipped below it (~500ft) and then climber again. The "OFF SCHED DESC" light illuminated on the air con panel and an amber warning with the text AIR CON illuminated on the MCP. The cabin pressure is controllable but I cannot find the way to reset the warning even after consulting the QRH. Any advice? Also my left autopilot has stopped working even though the right is operative. Could this be related? The only doubt I've got is that this was the second sector and I didn't reset the flight so could it be a bug? Thank you Ok the lx A/P failure is my first service/random …

Hello,I have had the NGX for about month now and I still continue to get the "Skeleton Problem" on the exterior model and some textures going black (all though the black texture is not just on the NGX) I have done everything I have read in the manual and the forums such as the HIGHMEMFIX and Max Texture Load "fixes."I attached a picture and a text file that shows a detailed report of my PC stats...Thanks!Ryan Spicer

Here are a few things I've noticed about the NGX, anyone have any comments? VLO is 270 kts - yet if I put the gear lever down at this speed - nothing happens until 250kts, then gear auto deploys. Nice it respects the flap speed limits - but hey - sometimes I need those rollers for the big old airbrakes that they are! Fuel Flow reverses when engines are in reverse - yep - you can make fuel going into reverse. I haven't actually noticed if fuel comes back into the tank - but the FF numbers on engine instruments sure go negative. Manual pressurization - go ahead and close the outflow valve manually, with doors closed and a bleed source cabin should pressurize, …

Hi folks, Not had this before; just done a flight in 737ngx800 from Stanstead(EGSS) to runway 09 at Jersey (EGJJ). Everything went fine, captured the LOC and APP, aircraft descended on the ILS to about 100 feet, and then decided to climb. I did notice that I didn't get the usual level warnings, 1000 . . minimus . . 50 . . .40 . . . 30 etc. I had speed brakes armed, flaps set to 30 degrees,Vref 145 kts, speed set to 150 kts on the MCP and gear down. More or less what I had done many times before. So I went round again for a second attempt, and the same thing happened again. I think I must have done something silly, but I have no idea what!. I guess there must be som…

Hi, I didn't find answer on my question. In FMC (TAKEOFF REF page 2/2) you have 3 heights to set - ACCEL, EO ACCEL and REDUCTION. I have charts (screenshot is included lower in this topic) with noise abatement procedures on LKPR and I need your help, please - which height will be ACCEL, which EO ACCEL and which one REDUCTION? Thanks.

Is the AVSIM website the "official" way to submit issues for PMDG products? I only ask because I don't see any other options on the PMDG site, and when you select support it just redirects you here...

Part of my Preflight (RIBETS) check, for the S part it mentions - Enter max 220kts when no speed is specified in the FMC for initial turns on SID to assure track keeping. At the bottom. Now lets say you had a DP for a speed max 190 knots and your flap bug speeds were, 1 was 190 and UP was 200 would you hold flaps 1 for the initial turn and what if you reach AA would you retract and would it still be safe to hold 190 flaps up? SID briefing The PF will first brief the intended departure routing. Briefings should always highlight the relevant MSA • RTE page 1 and 2 - Confirm selected runway, SID and Transition where appropriate. • INIT/REF - Confirm…

Hello there: I just purchased the 747X aircraft and installed it. When I launch FSX and try to choose the 737 NGX, it now asks for the activation code. I have tried multiple times to copy/paste it but it does not do anything. Is this a known issue? Jon Richardson [email protected] Order #256736-737 NGX

Hi Folks, I've tried to find the reason for the two red vertical bars in the manual. I "thought" it was IRS not aligned. This is one of the default flights with the ngx default panel state.... I'm new to this and would highly appreciate someone telling me what is wrong and point me in the correct direction to fix it. Thanks so much, Tom

Yesterday I dusted off my 737-800 and took it for an LAX-JFK cross country. Climbing out of LAX through about 6,000 feet on LNAV/VNAV/CMD1 I encountered a problem. Now, normally I fly with my CH Products Yoke. When I turn on the AP, I usually still have the thrust levers on my Yoke set to TO power, with the FMC set to override my yoke throttle settings. Like usual, I'll idle my physical throttles because I know it won't affect the sim. On this particular flight, the INSTANT I pulled back my yoke throttle levers, the aircraft (still on LNAV/VNAV/CMD) pitched full aft. The plane pitched full aft, went about 80 degrees nose high, stalled, then did a sort of nose-up f…

Does anybody know what's causing this? (See picture below) As you can see, the door graphics are pretty messed up and you can see completely through the door, as well as the other half of the aircraft. Also, if you look through the windows you can see straight through the plane, like the fuselage has only got one half.
