Hey everyone,I have (another) problem with my pmdg ngx. I had to install Windows XP in place of 7 because of issues, but now whenever I load the plane, everything works, including the gauges, but the text on the gauges is missing. Eg no speed numbers, no 'ATT' when irs isn't aligned, and no heading numbers or any kind of text on the ND. The same for all the other gauges... I think it might be a font problem/missing.Any suggestions?

Hi Captains, I've a question that I can't solve in my mind...I've tried to use the "search" button but I couldn't find anything about it anyway I do my apologizes if I've lost same topics regards it... Here it's the question: 1) let's assume you're performing a normal -3° slope ILS approach flaps 30 in a headwind condition at normal Vref+5 airspeed in such a case you'll obtain with your NGX a normal pitch-N1% value that matches with Boeing 737 manual (i.e. what stated into "unreliable airspeed" speed/pitch figure at 1500 ft gear down 3° glideslope (also if that table is calculated for a Vref+10 condition to be exact)) let's assume ZFW 55 tons+3 tons of fuel i.e. 54% N1…

So I was just browsing through the FCOMv1 and looking for some numbers I needed and found something odd, which I funnily haven't noticed before. The MTOW and MLW numbers for the -600 to -900 span of variants seem to be off/wrong. The manual says that the 737-800's MTOW is 70,533kg while it should actually be around 79,000kg. I checked wikipidea/boeing's site/and the 737 website from the UK afterwards and it says 79t. there as well. Am I missing something or is this wrong? EDIT: I am aware that there is a normal and an IGW version of the -700. Here's my source I am relying on / referring to http://www.b737.org.uk/techspecsdetailed.htm

I am well into the very well prepared Tutorial #1 for my recently acquired PMDG 737NGX and am ready to fly this first flight but I've encountered a problem which I have, so far, been unable to resolve. Both IRS' complete their normal alignment with all lights indicating correctly for each sequential stage of the alignment process. Each IRS switch is turned from OFF to NAV and each IRS light goes from ON DC to ALIGN and upon completion of the alignment cycle to both lights being blank but a glance below shows the Capts. PFD and ND showing incorrectly I.e., no airport runway or LEGS symbology while the F/O's PFD and ND show the expected runway and purple LEG lines. …

Hi there. I currently run 2 monitors, the main monitor is 1920 x1200 and I use another monitor, which is physically placed overhead which is native 1680x1050. I have tried starting a flight in both default 2D and VC. I save a flight with the overhead panel sized and displaying properly on the overhead monitor. When I restart FSX and load the flight via the FSX menu, the size and positioning of the overhead panel loads OK, but as you can see in the pic, the flight control panel is duplicated and stretched over the panel containing the battery status etc The only way I can fix it, is to switch to the 2d panel (If I was in VC Mode) and clicking on the windshield…

On several flights, both B737 & 738, after a few minutes at x4 simulation rate the aircraft begins rapid yaw oscillations. Visibly, the rudder is deflecting slightly back and forth rapidly. This always occurs, but months of flying B777 with current computer build never had this happen. Also, this occurs with or without weather.. weather has no effect on yaw oscillations. I did a quick search in this forum but missed this being reported before. I'm puzzled. Any ideas? Thanks.

For my 73rd Birthday treat I flew the 737-800ng simulator here https://plus.google.com/115408563554081290929/photos?gl=uk&hl=en and quickly realised that, the real thing is nothing like I thought it was. The rudder and flight yoke was extremely sensitive and a lot more than the hardware we are all used to. I use the Saitek Yoke and pedals at home and as soon as I reached home again I adjusted ALL my controls to very sensitive and it has made a lot of improvement for me. I would strongly advise others to do the same.

Bonjour, I would like to know what is the syntax in the navdata (Navigraph) so that the FMC can read the restrictions in SID and STAR. I tried to modify the SPEED tag in the txt file (SPEED AT OR ABOVE 250 instead of SPEED 250) without success. In the tutorial 1 it is said Navigraph told me they can provide the information. So, is there a solution ? Best regards Claude

Scenario: ATC tells me to descend and maintain a certain altitude, say, 6000. I don't get a further descent until well after reaching 6000 feet. While maintaining 6000, the PFD annunciates "FMC SPD | LNAV | VNAV ALT". However, the speed bug starts dropping down by 1 kt per second until it hits the flaps UP speed. Is this the intended behavior? And if so, how do I set up the aircraft to inhibit this deceleration?

I'm flying with a small group every week, mostly VFR short hops, and our planned route for next weekend will be by 737 and visiting Sion (LSGS). Are there any experienced pilots able to help me prepare for this? I'm definitely not in the experienced category. I've already noticed the ILS beacon is actually separated from the runway and the mountains could require a somewhat steep approach, but some hints and suggestions would be very welcome. Cheers, Bert

Oh my goodness, what a delight! I have been totally absorbed in the B-777 for quite a long time and decided today to do a re-familiarization flight with the B-737. AAL 1063 KDFW-KLAS B738 light on fuel but maxed ZFW and she is quite the rocket! Light on her toes during taxi too. I promise not to be away from her for this long again.

I have recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX packages (600, 700, 800, 900 series) and have enjoyed the few flights I have taken with them. Today, I have discovered that I no longer have control of the rudder, ailerons or elevators with my Saitek Pro Flight controllers. The toe brakes work, and the throttles work. Everything works fine on other aircraft in my hangar, just not the PMDG 737s. I do not use FSUIPC for controllers, opting to remain with FSX's system. Not has changed in the configuration within FSX. The Windows 7 calibration for the controllers all show proper calibration and are all responsive. Thoughts anyone?
