    Hi, i'm currently studying the Electrics side of the NGX and needing some usefull articles to explain this mind numbing subject. I know AC is alternating current and DC is direct, goes one way. I've read it all up on google. Thats the very basic level i know. So i'm looking for a good site where this is explained in more detail about the currents on aircrafts electrics. I also need help on the AC DC METERING PANEL on the overhead panel. You have the AMPS reading AC AMPS and DC AMPS, what does the AMPS do for the electrics? Also you have CPS FREQ which is about 400 yet again i only know this means cycles per minute! So if anyone can brake this subject down for…

    This is just an example below, i was looking at this last night and it got me thinking. Is the MACG based on OE or AE approach? and i seen this... Approach climb limited weights (2.1%) and Missed approach climb Gradient weights (2.5% or greater) What are the differences in these? It also mentions Turn 3.0% What is the meaning of this? Also if i read a MNM CLB gradient of 7% to 7000 how can i work out my AC will make this during DEPT on the SID? I know you use GS X gradient %

    Recently re-installed PMDG 737NGXC. Been away from FSX awhile. When going thru ALL the procedures ( as per book) I am in a Cold & Dark situation at EGKK and nothing happens. NO initialization, after awhile I get a "tip" to start engines. Get all views and thats about it. CH Yoke is calibnrated and all opotions are set. Any ideas???

  6. I've downloaded several liveries for the -600,-700 add on pack and each time i load the livery manager and select them, the a notification pops up saying that the livery manager has stopped working. I've downloaded several liveries and all of them do this.

  7. I did a flight using the autopilots to do an auto-and. For whatever reason the autopilot got disconnected while I was an approach. I then hoped to simply reconnect the auto pilot again and activate VORLOC and APP in order to land. For whatever reason it did not work. Any explanations ? Thanks HubertWerni

    my nvidea says its running direct11 how can i change that to 9 as i;m told fsx likes that better. the papi approach lights are very blurry tho everything else is great. What are the selectors on the right side od the captains yoke. THE HEADING SELECTOR has a 10. 20, 30 selector as the outer ring what is it for. love this sim... can anyone help? TIA

    For several months now since I first installed my new PMDG 737 all has functioned as expected with few if any problems. That came to a screeching halt about four days ago. Up until that time I had been able to use my Logitech Trackball mouse to move about the various views available in the VC cockpit in the following manner; When in VC COCKPIT, I could use my mouse's Trackball to move my pointer to any place on that screen and when hovering above a button, switch or control the pointer would change to the appropriate finger or cupped palm to activate the button or control beneath it.     This is the only jet i fly ,there's so much to learn on this one there's no sense me getting any thing else right now .Never had a problem when all off a sudden i get Lnav disconnects and bank some what violently to the right and i can't think of why . Thought maybe vatsim -ran it without vatsim ran it without Opus weather . Than i thought maybe it was my precision flight control yoke giving a spike and causing it, so i unplugged it --. and still the same and was glad cause it's only a year old as i updated my old 10 year ol' yoke .     Hi all, I am an owner of the PMDG 737NGX. I bought it in 2013, about February time and have used it without a problem, until recently. I recently had to re install FSX due to PC problems. I re installed FSX without a problem and all addons except from the NGX. I then came to installing the NGX, which is the disc version. I put the disc into my disc tray and tried to install. It wasn't being read so I took it out and had a look at it. I gave it a rub with a cloth and tried again, only for the same result. Looking at the disc I do not see any big scratches only 1 or 2 small ones. Surely that isn't enough to make the disc unreadable? So is there anything I can do abo…

    Originally on my PMDG 737 I could select a VC view from the FSX dropdown VIEWS menu > VC cockpit and then select from a variety of panel views from the 737's cockpit. Once on the selected view I could then move about that view with my pointer and select any button, switch, or control when the pointer turned into the appropriate cupped palm or index finger.     Can anyone explain why on flying the PMDG 737 NGX tutorial 1, I cant get the speed below 205 knots on Autoland. Everything else is as per the book -Land 3, geardown Vref30 +5 in the MCP speed window. Glideslope spot on but no flare - we just hover 10 feet or so over the runway. TIA

    Hi there, I loaded up the sim this morning and when selecting the NGX, a product activation box appeared. I entered the code I have from the product but it shows an error: ERROR:flxActCommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage - (50044,71013,1) I then went onto the PMDG website and to my order history, then link for my NGX special edition has expired so I cant re-download. Any suggestion on what I can do? Im getting the exact same problem with the 777 aswell :|

    I only fly to payware airports and i've noticed that on my charts at LPPT rwy 03 FAT is 027* but in my FMS its showing 026* but after i set both courses to 027 per my charts after the localizer has been tracked and captured, my courses then change to 025*? This happens at all airports and if i can remember also happened to default fsx airports. Is this to do with software that calculates MAG VAR ? Thats why you get the difference? I know in the RW plogs pilots can ignore tracks that are different on the flightplan compared to whats showing in the legs page of the FMS.

    Hi guys, I attatched a photo of a texturing issues on the PMDG NGX 900 series. Does anyone know if PMDG has taken these texturing issues into account and fixing it with the release of the next update? Thanks. Just look how the windows don't line up, and there is a line running through the fuselage: -look towards the right of the pic, you will the windows are not aligned.     Hi all, I purchased the PMDG 737NGX around February time of 2013 and enjoyed the realistic flying up until now. I have needed to reinstall FSX due to a PC related problem. I reinstalled FSX and all addons except from the NGX. I have the NGX on disc and every time i put the disc into my DVD drive it won't read it. i had a look at the disc and I do not see many scratches, only some very small ones. Is there anything I could do? Any help always appreciated, Robbie.

    Done a lot of flying the last couple weeks however, none was on a 737 NG so I won't know if this procedure applies? Is it not a common practice to taxi on one engine during long taxi in the 737 aand startup once close to departure, or is this only a procedure with other aircraft? I would think it would save quite a bit of fuel at airports like ORD and ATL during long taxi and lines.

    A fight plan correctly developed and accepted with no discontinuity by PMDG will not be saved. The SAVE option is highlighted but from there on no further alternative is available as the EXC button will not respond. A couple of long-time users of PMDG 737-800 have tried to help, to no avail.
