PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I bought the PMDG 737 Base Package for FSX:SE and my operations manager only has a drop down for expansions and there isn't any drop down for liveries and other things. It's as if the OC doest even know that I own the 737 Base Package. This is very disappointing for me because Ive been very excited for the 737, just to only be able to fly with the PMDG House colors. This occured to me twice already, using ASN and SP1C / SP1D, FSX ACC Pack, online on IVAO. Everything is normal, suddenly the aircraft starts to bank right about 7 degress and maintains that attitude. Moving the Yoke/disconnecting the autopilot has no effect. The aircraft flies circles and there is nothing I can do to stop it. After a while, FSX has a fatal error and needs to be closed. This only occured with the NGX so far.

Kyle, as you know I'm still a newbie to PMDG. I'm now getting back into flying it after a break. I have all the AOA videos and saved flights from them as well as PMDG's saved flights. I think I mentioned in another thread about some minor problems with saved flights and panel states. First I'd like to ask if you plan on addressing this issue so I can load saved flights? I don't have a clue how to use the saved panel state and saved plane configuration with the CDU. I've read the manual and still don't really understand it. Hi! I have installed the newest version of OC (at least there is no information about any updates) and my 737ngx for FSX module seems to disappear, I cannot get any options available (liveries, documentation, etc.). I have also 777 for FSX and P3D and they seem to work properly. I have updated 737 to the newest sp1d version. Any Ideas? Adam Omieljanowicz

Hello, I recently had to completely uninstall FSX and its add-ons. Upon reinstall, my PMDG 737 NGX has blurry panels in the 2d mode. The VC looks fine. I've assured my monitor and FSX resolutions match. I've added the WideViewAspect=True line to the .cfg file. I'm running FSX on a store bought laptop with integrated graphics. My issue is that my 2d panel looked great before the reinstall of FSX, so I know my graphics card can do a decent job. I've been in communication with PMDG, but I'm getting the "we don't know, we don't support windows 8 or integrated graphics." It was working fine before with windows 8 and integrated graphics. How do I apply service update Sp1d to a boxed version of the 737NGX. PMDG say that I will need the original installer, but of course this is included on the disc. I am not very pc aware. Help appreciated. Tony Merry

Hi guys Just wanted to point out a small bug I've found on the ND display. If you look carefully at the ND display you can see the compass arc extends past the dividing line onto the altimeter and down to the VS display. It only happens on the Captains display. The FOs' is fine. Its not a major issue everything is still readable. I have noticed it in the 700 and the 900 with the United config. Not checked out the others yet. Not sure if this is a common issue or if its just related to my setup/install. So thought I would post a pic to see if anyone else has noticed this issue. G'day to everyone, and all of you fantastic flyers out there! I've been considering of what to say about the NGX over months past. This bird, by far, is one of the best FSX/FS9 addons out there. With that being said, I've flown hundreds upon hundreds of hours in the PMDG 737-800NGX and installed almost every livery and flew in them. If we can get enough comments about this, be my guest. I wanted to recommend, since I can't seem to do it ever, to request newer liveries for the PMDG 737800/900 RTM Base package. Cold starting the 737 NGX aircraft leads to Pilot's & First Pilot's DUs (EFIS) with missing display information. The FD Shows no Background Color (blue/brown) and no attitude scaling. The NDs Show no map. Does anyone know what is going on? Robert

I've been a long time user of the NGX 737s in FSX. I just purchased and setup the base package for P3D. Installed perfectly and it looks great! Everything is fine, I have set it up the same way my FSX start up is, that is the NGX short turnaround and no failures. However, the route doesn't show on up in the EFIS and the TCAS fails every time I switch it on. I've been through the manuals several times and cannot find any reference to these two specific items. It works perfectly in my FSX setup, I have used the same steps, however, there must be a subtle difference in the P3D setup that I am missing. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated! Hello, After installing SP1d the FUEL and ANTI-ICE annunciators stay illuminated after engine start and will not extinguish. 1. I uninstalled/reinstalled the product step-by-step as suggested by Kyle 2. All necessary fuel pumps were turned on 3. The weather conditions at the departure airport were 00000KT 10SM BKN250 06/M01 A3021 (so no icing conditions) 4. Window heat was turned on 5. Pitot heat was turned on 6. Turning on Anti-ice equipment had no effect 7. Failures are turned off Any suggestions? Is this a bug? Should I trying a new download and reinstall? Thank you, James Castonguay

I try to install a PMDG old paint of 737NGX in my new 737NGX Prepar3d V 2.5, but although the livery is showed at Operations Center I can not find it at the livery panel in Prepar3d v2.5. So I tried to find a way to convert my package in a PMDG ptp file, but the paintkit manual refers to the livery manager that is not active anymore. Finally I download and install a livery of DELTA, and it is shown at the operation center but not at the livery panel of prepar3d, too. So my questions are: - Is there a way to convert my files in a PTP file, without the livery manager? - If it was not, where I can download it? - How can I solve the problem? PS: Liveries installe…

Seems since Sp1d my control inputs move perfectly to my ch yoke inputs. Seems down right thrilling. Also the parking brake stays on with no spiking from my ch pedels. That was the only annoyance I had with NGX. Flew into a rainy KATL yesterday and the radar was exciting to behold. Thanks guys.

I have been around quite a few different types of jet and turbine engines and don't recall ever hearing this sound before (xPMDG737NGX_JET62e.wav and xPMDG737NGX_JET61e.wav) in the PMDG 737-800 sound folder. This sound is very prominent during the last phase of shut down and initial phase of start up. The PMDG 777-200 and 777-300 do it also, I suspect it is quite authentic, since PMDG went to great lengths to put this sound in. I find the sound makes the engine sound as if it has FOD in it. For now I have replaced the sound files with silence until I can figure what it is. Anyone know what this sound represents?

On the ACT RTE LEGS page select RTE DATA to enter winds aloft by waypoint. ACT RTE DATA page comes up. Enter direction/speed on scratchpad and select to the appropriate waypoint. Do it for the second waypoint and the direction/speed cannot be selected from the scratchpad to the appropriate waypoint. The direction/speed stays on the scratchpad. It can't be cleared or deleted. The EXEC button no longer works. That page is frozen. Eventually the complete FMC freezes. The has started occurring with SP1D which has been cleaned installed twice. Any ideas or suggestion? i was using a flight plan from kjac to kden. On Flightaware it was a 737 and was using the alpin1 sid from kjac. Then sweat, then ckw and the moltn3 star landing on 16r My question is when I put in this star it was for the southern runways like 34r. So I don't really get this. I did try to shorten up the star but it then gave me a really really steep decent onto the glidescope? Did I just have the wrong star for a northern runway? I have used Flightaware a bunch of times and this was the only time I have had a problem. Thanks

Hi all, The PMDG NGX for P3D and the 2.5 release have brought me back to flightsimming after a year. I am impressed by both packages, but I have this one phenomenon that I was wondering about if anybody else sees this behaviour. I took the NGX for a spin from Heraklion into the mountains, and switched on the terrain radar. Immediately FPS dropped from about 20 to 10-11. (terrain radar looks great though!) I of course switched it off immediately, but I did not regain my FPS back. :-( Is this a known issue? Erik

last night I was looking to get new liveries for the pmdg 737. So I went to the website and it said to open the start menu and to go into the pmdg operations center. I can't find the operations center? I can only find the livery manager. What am I missing here?

Hi guys! Just purchased my 737ngx 800/900 for Prepar3d 2.5 yesterday... I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw it was available for P3d! Very happy. I have a problem.. If I try to select any other variant of the aircraft, or one I've added liveries to, or even the 'Poseidon' version that the package comes with.. my whole Prepar3d immediately crashes. Is anyone else having this problem? I have scoured the forums, but cannot find anything about this specific problem.. I tried rolling back the video driver which hasn't worked, I'm stumped as to what it may be, and it's preventing me from using anything other than the 800/900 winglets variant. I…

Good afternoon, I'm just curious if I can find a posted change list prior to running the installer. I have made several changes to my NGX setup including a couple sound files and a NavData update. I'm curious about the change list in general and also whether running the new installer will delete these changes I've made or just update what has changed from the original installation. Secondly, perhaps I'm just a little slow and haven't seen it, but I can't tell whether I am supposed to uninstall and then run the new installer for the NGX or just click the "repair installation" option.
