PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I mostly fly short haul flights i.e. typical Manchester to Heathrow. On this flight I will fly at 17,000 ft, which is around the real life altitude flown on this route. Starting the descent at the FMC TDC means a descent rate of some 1600 ft/min in order to get down to the landing altitude & this results in a speed that requires full speed brake nearly all the way down. Surely this is not realistic! Am I doing something wrong, or is this aircraft too slippery for it's own good? Any advice gratefully received. TonyM

Hi All, I've had the NGX since August, when it cam out, and it works fine, until the HGS stopped working. I had to uninstall FSX, and the NGX. I put it back on about two weeks ago, and the HGS Isn't working. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Hi just installed the new update did a flight and noticed on descent my speedbreak has no effect with vs at -600 fpm i then tried level flight deployed the speedbreaks and still with no effect. i know the 737 is very slippery and takes a while to slow down thanx Brendon Powys

My weather radar is always set on AUTO and WX + T When cruising along over the Bay of Biscay i noticed there was a cell in my general direction and there was no returns on the radar, I pressed HDG select flew around just I was passing abeam the cloud it was very turbulent as a residual of the clouds. My radar was in AUTO. if someone has good knowledge, manuals or anything that can help me understand the radar will be much appreciated. The height was above FL390

After takeoff and when i try to take up the gear the aircraft and all instrument stopping...but when i take out the gear it work fine....

Installed several liveries using the OC's Livery Manager. Launched the 737 in FSX-SE, saw only one of the addon liveries (Jet Airways, which was not from the PMDG livery collection; PMDG's own BA and Qantas, which I had loaded from the Livery Downloader, did not appear). Morning, On a recent flight from CYVR to KORD in the NGX, I was panning around the VC from the forward position to the port wing from the Captains seat. It seemed as if the shadows were not displaying correctly and that the VC shadow was blocking out the shadows of the clouds on the ground. Anyone else see this or did someone put something in my water? DR

i am messing around with the new weather radar and I see there are a few knobs. I see a gain that goes from -15 to +15. What's the difference here? Thanks.

Okay guys, I bought the 737 ngx about a week ago (just moved to P3D from X-Plane) and had no problems. Today, I installed the 600/700 expansion pack and everything works fine until I get to the engine start up procedure. Then when I switch the ignition to L and set the ignition switch to ground the N2 will rise to 18.2% and go no further. I do not have this problem in the 737-800/900 only in the 737-600/700 Expansion. I follow this checklist precisely: http://www.carsten-rau.com/diverses/ivao/Checklist-737-PMDG-737NGX.pdf. I have a problem which is driving me mad I have tried removing REX and using basic, Active sky still the same, I have tried different aircraft, but it seems to happen especially either when I switch to another view or I open for example, FMS to program or the GPS window. I have back tracked on Nvidia drivers, that didn't make a difference. tried in window mode and full screen mode, still the same.. and when it happens it just sucks the life out of my frame rates. I have checked to see if there is anything running in the background, there is nothing. I have disabled my second monitor and still the same. Colleagues, Since the last update, I have noticed with GSX Ground crew that it does not recognise that the front passenger door is open. To start loading passengers, I have to close the door, to then open it again. I always start from cold and dark, has anyone else experienced this issue?

Can someone quote me from the ICAO DOC if a requirement to add +50 to commercial acft for a NPA like LNAV , LP and V/S (2D: without vertical guidance, flown to an MDA(H) ? I know for APV - VNAV/LNAV LPV and PA - ILS all use DA(H) and this takes into account the height loss at DA(H) (3D: with vertical guidance, flown to a DA(H) So NPA is LNAV V/S and LP all have MDA(H) but do you still add + 50 to the MDA(H)

Hi, I have the Problem if i will land , the autobrakes doesn`t work .... but on the Rollout , about 80kt, i Switch the Autobrake button off... the aircraft begin to brake. Hi, I am reading the FCOM2 9.10.6 section about the Trim cut out for the trim switches but when would you do such a thing like cutting them off (from the yoke i guess ? ) and the Autopilot ? Just trying to imagin a scenario to learn from with no luck (lack of knowledge) Also it seems like the OVERRIDE on the AFT panel goes the otherway around and restores you mistake ? :-) Maybe i should search the QRH also ... As we know the "PMDG 747-400 v2.0" will have a nice animation of the gear struts "that effectively bypasses the hobbled default FSX landing gear model", I'd like to ask whether this will happen with the NGX SP2 too... Thanks!

PMDG 737NGX Base Package for FSX or PMDG 737-600/700 NGX Expansion for FSX locks up with error message and FSX10 has to restart. When it restarts and you pick the 737 aircraft the process starts all over again. Only when I use pmdg aircraft.

Does anyone know of a good HGS/HUD tutorial? I've looked on the Internet, uTube, etc. but haven't found one that explains the various settings in the top portion of the HGS panel in the radio stack. Thanks.

Hibought the NGX last night after reading the great post about it.this isn't a critisism just a preference.I would like to lower the volume of the wind noise in the VC,I know there is a sound file somewhere,but don't want to mess the NGX up:-)I also don't want to lower the enviroment settings in the sound folder as i like to hear the thunder in storms.(think this is the one that does it) thanks steve:-)

This just happened on my last flight, I cant see the mouse pointer when in fullscreen, not sure what happened, I'm using asn, and fs2crew, never had an issue before, anyone ever see this?

Any possibility of this in the future? There is a few "good" ACARS units out there now for use by Virtual Airlines. I am experimenting with one for an airline I am assisting to bring back from the dead. We're close to having the ACARS working, of course via a 3rd party running program. My question is, would it be possible, at some point, to have this actually work from inside the PMDG's FMC units? I'd LOVE to see this.

Hi First of all please forgive me if I have missed anything obvious on the forums with regards to the issues I am experiencing with both the 737NG and the 777. I redownloaded all the installers after login into my account at precisionmanuals.com. I have installed them both into FSX which I am running through the Steam Edition of FSX. I have checked both planes and so far are unable to do anything with them. The panels do not work in both planes even to the point that some of the switches are even missing. Also the engines are not displaying correctly. Also on the 777 the landing gear does not even show up. I am using newly downloaded installers from your main w…
