PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi, When loading the Panel State NGX SHORT after startup, the APU is always in the Low-oil-Pressure/FAULT condition. Repeated attempts with the Maintenance option (operating the Service option, then setting All Failures=NO, same for the APU, then saving to the NGX SHORT State) did not sort out the problem. At times also the Overwing Doors generate alarms. I have found an excellent guide on Pete Dowson's forum that explains how to program GoFlight units for use with the PMDG737. I have managed to program switches such as Probe Heat and Yaw Damper but I'm having a problem with the Course selector on the MCP - Captain's side. When I rotate the GoFlight knob only every other click is recognised. Consequently the two readouts differ. Can anyone help please? I can't open my doors when GSX2 asks me to, even by clicking on the FMC or by using Shift + E. P3Dv4.4. Is this a sim/aircraft glitch (and if so how to fix?) or is this something quirky like the 747 where you can't open the main cargo hold doors unless you disconnect the 2nd GPU/APU gen or something?

Right off the bat I have to say the products his company has distributed are downright phenomenal! The NGX is my most used FSX addon! I can’t stop using it! However, that’s not the case anymore. I want to use this product, but there’s a problem. Throughout my life I have had OCD. It’s made my flight sim experience very hard because I am trying to get my sim to be as realistic as possible. I have seen people posting about the new zibo on x-plane and how much better it is than the PMDG products which I have trouble believing. …

I use PFPX for my flight planning and it allows the user to change the weight of adult and child passengers. I've left it at the default values of 168 (adult) + 24 for baggage making it a total of 192lbs for each adult. If I enter 100 adult pax in PFPX it returns a ZFW of 110,500lbs. That is Empty Weight of 91,300 + 19,200 Payload = 110,500lbs But if I enter 100 pax in the FMC Payload menu it returns a ZFW of 108,800lbs. That's 1700lbs less suggesting you're using a different weight value for each pax. Is that an editable value and if so where can I find it? I would like the numbers in PFPX and the 737-800 to match.

I know that different airlines have different passenger and cabin configurations. Is it possible to change these numbers?

New computer, fresh install but no flight deck screens on pdmg 737 ngx. Any ideas?

I'm interested in buying the 737NGX but having recently bought a new system and upgraded to a UHD monitor I was wondering if the panels would look okay on a UHD display. The only info I can find is the panels are HD quality but that was in a review on Mutley's Hangar 6 years ago. Thanks for any info.

I apologize if this has been answered previously. However, I have spent the last 4 hrs looking for it. Problem: After installing liveries I am unable to load the correct fuel load in the FMC. ie: if I need 36K lbs the FMC will only allow 20K lbs to be loaded. This problem has been occurring with the 737NGX and 747. I have been flying these models for about 8 years and have recently had this problem occur. The only solution I can come up with is to delete the liveries and fly the default livery. Any help will be appreciated, Thanks Bob Kampmann

Yesterday I used the 'Pushback' feature on the FMC for the first time. After the dialogue between the virtual ground crew and virtual pilot, on release of the parking brake, the aircraft started to move forwards not back! I had to re-set the parking brake to avoid driving throuh the terminal. I have 'pushback' available as a button assignment on my throttle quadrant, for use on other (non PMDG) aircraft, so I selected that and the standard FSX pushback worked. Any comments, please? These are my thoughts. The NGX saw the next generation of PMDG aircraft enter our sims, in doing so there was no support for FS9 but instead the aircraft was for the growing but abandoned FSX platform. That was in 2011. It is 2019. I feel like the NG3 should do the same. It needs to lead the way by finally dropping the FSX platform and advance with P3Dv4 support only. The 32bit sims are only holding us back, severely. Those were just my thoughts. The PMDG 737 aircraft different liveries don't show up when I start P3D V4.4, I see the PMDG default liveries only, I removed and re-downloaded different liveries but nothing shows up except for the default PMDG liveries, I have the PMDG B747 and PMDG B777 which both aircraft liveries show up with no issue, the issue that I'm having is only with the B737 liveries. Does anyone have this issue before or can help on fixing this problem? Regards

Hi all, i heve astrange problem and do not know how to solve this.. I have saitek yoke and throttle system with P3Dv4, PDMG 737NGX and FSUIPC latest V5. In P3Dv4 i disabled the controllers. Now i want to assign the controls witn FSUIPC. I can assign elevator, ailrons, rudder(all yoke functions) and flaps. Now i can also configure the throttle levers with engine 1 and engine 2. All are working within FSUIPC but when i try to move the levers in PMDG 737 only lever w the reverse is moving. I have alse realair beech b60 and here everyting is working perfectly. Hi, my problem is as follows: Starting the 737 in [short] panel state leads to the reverse levers being one notch up. After restoring them and starting the engines, the levers are again up and the throttles won't move. Sometimes i am not able to stow one or both levers, neither by F1 command (as long as I press F1 the lever is down, on release it returns into the one notch up position) nor by mouseclick.They always return to one notch up. I have installed the last update and since then even uninstalled and reinstalled the 737. I let P3D build a new prepar3d.cfg. I have deleted all key commands I could think of. No result. when inputting data into my 737ngx fmc, on clicking the selected field the fmc races ,either to the next page(s) or to multiple duplicated numbers. This only occurs when setting up the fmc. All other settings are ok. very frustrating when having to cancel and repeat actions. any suggestions please?

Hi, After learning from making lights for the PMDG -8F, I thought I would push myself as far as I could and doing so I ended up using 57 out of 58 light available to me. I please ask you take this journey with me as I think it will make what you get even more rewarding to use. I cannot post the photo I used as a reference but after asking Jim here at AVSIM he tells me it's perfectly ok to post a link. Hello Trying to figure out why descent profile on PFD look so low. This is not the firs time I am seeing this. I did not make any changes in LEG page, all constrains were shown correctly. In this image I am about to turn final but I am shown like I am 18000 ft below profile, however actual altitude on PFD was shown correct in accordance with approach plate. When I was established on the ILS I was caught up on profile withing seconds. Thanks

I’ve had the PMDG737 NGX running for just two days now and have made good progress today in learning the systems all over again. But one problem was bugging me and it’s not something I’ve come across before in P3D v4. Every two minutes the sim would pause for up to 9 seconds. Surely PMDG wouldn’t have introduced something that affected performance like that. Then my suspicions turned to Windows 10 but that drew a blank too. Finally the two minute thing rang a bell. Autosave in FSUIPC5. I checked the save period and it was setup for 120 seconds. Turned it off and no more pauses. My other aircraft - Xtreme Prototypes Learjet 25 and Carenado PC-12 are far…

During a flight just a few minutes ago with heavy clouds the HUD text would fade in and out like it was on the outside of the plane. I've never seen this.

I know this is a robust aircraft so these problems are probably of my own making but they have me foxed. 1) From a C&D setup I power up systems and start the engines. Both show idle power. If I move the left throttle forwards I can see N2 increase. If I do the same on the right throttle N2 on the right engine stays unchanged. But the throttle in the cockpit is physically moving so I know the binding to FSUIPC is okay. So why won’t engine 2 spool up when power is applied? 2) I gave up on the C&D startup and selected the aircraft after having switched to the Cub. Both engines running. Great. I line up and take-off. hi, long time now, when i try to make a night flight, from dark and cold, in p3d v4 everything is too dark. even if i put my monitor in full brightness i just see the button at the head panel to swich on the battery, lights etc. is there a key combination that does that? like the L key or shift L , control L etc in other fsx/p3d simple planes? or a trick like in x plane where we have the flash light tool ? 🙂 thank you very much
