PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere. I searched, but couldn't find anything. For some reason, in the past few days, I can not load my fuel via the MCDU on the PMDG 737NGX. I have always gone in and changed the values and it worked fine. Now I change the values on the MCDU, but they do not change the values in the actual tank. I enter 10,600 pounds on the MCDU and it looks correct, but the aircraft still shows 45,700. I had to go into the FS menu to change the fuel. Something I have not had to do with this aircraft before. After landing Amsterdam airport on rwy18C and taxi to gate D52. Suddenly, speed is increase rapidly by engine is running high RPM. Note that, Autothrottle is not switched on and engine thrust lever is idle position. Why engine is running at high power? Regards, K Muthuraj

Hello Avsim! I was wondering if there were any (free) sound sets for the 737 NGX. The default is just okay, but I've heard that there are others on the interwebs that have more of the moan/whine of the real 73, as well as the well known pitch that we all hear when the plane is at the gate with the engines shut down (I believe its the APU. U know, the faint high pitch that sounds like an air conditioning system monster of a sort) . Yes I have looked into the TSS sound pack, but I could of sworn that there were others somewhere that were better. If anyone of you guy know what I'm talking about, a point in the right direction would help a lot! Thanks.

Hi all, Can i just check - have just purchased the 600/700 addon for P3D V3 When I brake the nose gear tends to dip into the surface be it taxiway or runway. The harder I brake the deeper it goes - there is a little compression but then it drops into the surface. Is this normal? Thanks Scott P.S still enjoy the NG PMDG after the years

Good morning all, I need your help on the following, on the PMDG OPS Center we should have access to the additional documentation such has the FCOM, AFM, QRH, etc , however i click on the file link and nothing happens. I only have the 3 files that came with the PMDG documentation, Introduction, Tutorial #1 and #2. Can anyone confirm if the additional files can be accessed by other means? Hey NGX pilots, What are your thoughts/preferences for the pitch and roll cue on the display? Personally I tend to prefer the single cue. I find it easier to follow the flight director using the single cue because you can easily envision rolling the wings into shape. With the split axis, I never know what to do with the rudder. Which is more popular? It seems the split axis is more "modern"? But I don't see why. Curious what others think. Cheers!

Hi everyone, I've just bought the NGX for P3D and already ran into some problems. I can't properly adjust any of the rotary knobs on the MCP (heading, altitude etc) by using either the mouse wheel or left/right click. Adjusting the knobs upwards / to the right does work, but very slowly (scrolling fast with the mouse wheel results in a very slow increase). Holding the left mouse button also works, but here again the increase is very slow. Decreasing the values does not work at all: When using the mouse wheel, the value decreases for a split second then quickly goes back to what it was before. Hello, I fly happily the 737NGX (recently purchased) under P3D v.3 (and Windows10). I am puzzled by just one strange behavior: -- always, even when in Cold & Dark conditions, in the cockpit there is a rather loud sound of fans (or something similar). I tried different Sound settings (in the FMC), but no change. I wonder whether this is normal, or not. Thank you for comments and advice, Giorgio Giorgio Goggi

The last 2 flights I have flown my NGX after it gets to TOC it pauses every 5-7 minutes and the screensaver activates. The flight does keep moving behind the screensaver. My screen saver is set to activate after 10 minutes of inactivity. Any suggestions, this is annoying. Thanks Randy S

I already created a PMDG support ticket but thought I would ask in here as well. Maybe someone else experienced the same thing and knows how to fix it. Due to a nasty bug in an add-on product corrupting part of my Windows installation I was forced to reinstall my PC from scratch but now after having reinstalled Windows, P3D and the NGX I don't get a chance to enter the license/product key for the NGX. Normally you get this dialogue where you're supposed to enter your license information. I did deactivate the NGX license before I wiped my PC and same goes for the P3D license. I'm on Windows 10 Pro and using Prepar3D_v3_Professional_3.3.5.17625.

My 737 starts always at the gate too close to the wall, so close that the jetway doesnt move and everytime i have to hit SHIFT P until the front wheel is on the yellow line. Only then the jetway extends. Is there a way to fix this? it happens with the 737 from PMDG not the other lousy FSX planes... thanks Andrea de Biase

Good afternoon, I just did the install of P3D 3.3.5. It is asking for my product activation code. I tried to enter it, but got an error message. I dont recall having to do this in the past. Am I missing something? Thank you. I will go on to say I get this error message when it asks to validate: ERROR: flxActCommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage - (5044,71013,1) And its with both my 777 and NGX. Lol...solved my own problem. Was cleaning out the msconfig file, and disabled FLEXNET. Dont do that I reactivated it, and all works properly again.

Hey guys, I just installed the NGX to P3D and have only done a few flights with it on the new sim. When taxiing I noticed that my plane is pulling to the left a bit, so I checked the rudder trim, and sure enough it was set a couple degrees to the left. I switched it back to 0 but after maybe 1 minute it started to pull to the left again and I had to reset it again. Any idea on what's causing this? -Nils

HI, since few days I'm facing a strange behavior with IRS alignment that I never had before. When I access to the FMC to set the aircraft's position I have not the possibility to paste the position set on the top right screen of the FMC (LSK R1) because the filed that should be close the LSK R4 is not appearing. After several tests I have discovered that this is solved only if on the AFT OVERHEAD panel I set the two IRS knobs on ALIGN: after some second the filead appears and I can paste the position and after set the ISR knobs on NAV. Is this normal? Why this did not happen before? What I coiuld have changed? Thanks in advance for the help KR …

I loaded up the NGX and there were no cockpit noises or outside sounds. I proceeded to uninstall the NGX and check for Sound Card Driver updates. There were none so I then reinstalled the aircraft, but to no avail. My DirectX is up to date. After fooling around with the aircraft for two hours, I decided to unistall/reinstall again, but it came to the same result. i have put the FSX sound system to the Default Device and the NGX FMC is set on my normal settings. The play in ext view is on in the FMC, but no sounds sound outside. The only sounds that are admitted are the engine sounds. All sounds are turned up in the FMC. I have always just accepted the issue I have with the flight deck night lighting but thought I should confirm that there is not a setting I am missing: When adjusting the Background, AFDS and Pedastal lighting knobs, the surface texture is all textured/dotty (for want of a better explanation). This means I have to rotate the knob quite far around to get something that looks ok. Otherwise it can look quite ugly at lower light settings. Is this normal? Regards,

Hi, say if for example we planed our fuel incorrectly and we were landing quite heavy. Would I use flaps 40 to slow my landing down to make it smoother or would I use flaps 30 to lessen (if that's a word) then amount of lift on the aircraft? Or does it depend on the landing weight?

Hello. I just recently upgraded to P3D3.3.5 and also ASN SP5 as a background to my issue. I'm not sure if this will have any relevance or not. Anyway, since upgrading, I am not getting terrain to show on the ND most of the time. A flight I did a couple days ago into LEBL(which has mountainous terrain all around it) did not give me anything showing up for terrain until I was on approach/at a low altitude and with a small range set on the EFIS. But prior to that, I saw nothing for the entire descent. Which, is unusual. Never saw it like this before. My next flight out of LEBL, switching to terrain mode showed returns for a few seconds and then disappeared again. …

Hello fellow PMDG enthusiasts - wonder if someone could help with an issue with the CH Rudder pedals I am experiencing on the PMDG 737NGX. The problem is - when I brake using the rudder pedals I loose throttle (have to advance the CH Throttle to regain speed) and the only way to eliminate this throttle issue (so the throttles require less forward thrust to move the plane) I have to click the autobrake switch to one of the positions (1,2,3,etc) then back to off. As soon as I do this my CH Throttle regains its sensitivity and less throttle is required for speed. Its almost like the brakes are remaining applied when I press and release the rudder brake on the CH rudder??…

Dear helper, Yesterday (7th of june) I purchased the PMDG 737-8900 (boxed edition) but I have experienced some problems today. NOTE: I haven’t installed any of the service packs yet. After installation (I ran as administrator) my FSX keeps crashing every time I end my flight. For some reason it says ‘’fatal error occurred’’ or it shuts down even without saying that. Sometimes I get this error as well in game. Before I installed PMDG I didn’t have any problems with crashes or so. I also experience some problems with the planes when I start a flight. Hi all, I am having issues with the NGX (800) after a clean re-install (unrelated). The engines don't seem to produce enough power. I suspect it's a weather related issue however trying to kill ASN and use FSX own real weather doesn't change the results. Almost stalling mid air to manage a climb of about 500fpm. Anybody able to offer suggestions? Thank you in advance!

HGS is installed via the FMC and turned on tried to turn the HGS isnallment Off then back On. It works flawless with V3.2, but is now blank with no green imagery in V3.3.5.17625.
