Kittychix has just posted an interview at the Official Microsoft Flight Site with Stan "Xavier Mousepractice" regarding Aerocache.net and all things Aerocache. ^_^ Links here! https://news.microso...ocache-net.aspx http://aerocache.net/

This is another community created aerocache. Hmmmm. Somewhere on the longest runway in Alaska, huh? This will take some research. Enjoy.

As you guys undoubtedly know, today is the end of the world, according to the Mayan calendar. Or,at least, that is what some people think. So, why not go out in style? Before it's too late, I flew my very last daredevil flight while getting the Aerocache, a very risky street-level pass:  On the other hand, in my short life, I have been through and survived so many announced Armageddons that perhaps this may not turn out to have been my last thrill in Flight! Best regards. Luis

I have landed at 13 different airports in Canada so far. All of them are close to the Alaska border. None of them have an improved runway, but are smooth enough to land with any plane. All of them have a wind sock, and some of them have the various towers and fuel tanks that are available in Flight. None of them added to my “unique airports” count, but they all added to my landings count. Beaver Creek also added to my aerocache count. I am going to submit more of these as Community Caches that will be a little more challenging just because they are harder to get to. Oh Canada?

I seems that the Flight support team has been busy lately. Today's news update has to do with some new aerocaches that will encompass then entire Iditarod trail. After posting them as an AOTD, they will become permanent so if you miss one you can pick it up later. One will be released each Thursday. I think this is very cool. Here's the link so you can read the entire post. https://news.microsoftflight.com/blogs/news/default.aspx

Another user submitted aerocache. This one requires a pretty long flight so no worries about the marker popping up while you're still on the runway. Enjoy.

It appears that there is a problem with the MS Flight website, and nothing is showing but the picture of the AOTD. It appears similar to the red top tower on Ford Island. I'll keep trying to get the information and post it as it becomes available. Interesting that even though I'm logged in, none of my information is showing either. This is weird. I just opened MS Flight and the AOTD shown is "Pedro Bay Plane Crash". I'll fly it and see if it comes up.

I looked for prior threads, honest I did. What all needs to be backed up for Flight, on a Win7 system. I'm going to be tinkering with my system in the next week or so and want to save important stuff, just in case... Here's hoping I can finally get my 2 1/2 year old system running stronger and maybe with a little OC thrown in for good measure!

There was a recent request that I consider posting the AOTD date as the UTC date. I've always posted the date following the release because early on in Flight's release, there was some inconsistency as to when the daily cache would show up. So being in the Eastern U.S. time zone, there was more time to hunt the following day than the day of release. I've mulled this over and am trying a new date format when I post the AOTD as I normally am able to get them between 1400 hrs. and 1430 hrs. EST each day. I'm calling on the Flight community to tell me how you would like to see the date presented. (1). We can go back to the way I was originally doing it. (2). …

Going back to Hawaii for this one. A little change up once in a while is a good thing. This also appears to be a user generated Aerocache. I had been wondering what happened to these . Let's see how it goes. Enjoy.

I just got a joystick today and wanted to play this game, i already have a Microsoft Live account from before (Xbox owner) and tried t log in. It says that the "Lie service might not be reliable, or that my firewall would not allow the connection. I can log into my Live account on the Chrome browser, but it won't let me log into this game. I would really like to know how to get logged in. On a side note, when i made my account, i used an email starting with www.(etc)@gmail.com and Microsoft registered my email as www.(etc)@gmail.com instead of (etc)@gmail.com , could this be the cause of the problem? [Edit] I downloaded this from the website, if it makes a differen…

I love looking at the sky. Here in the Caribbean it is often a deep azure with lots of fleecy cumulus. Or at least when it isn't too hazy, which is most of the time. B) Flight has lots of pretty atmospheric effects and the sky colors are some of the prettiest and most successful of them. The artists deserve a lot of credit for their beautiful work. Was that not Adrian Woods who did the environmental art for Flight (and previous versions of FS as well)? Best regards. Luis

Hi everyone, I've recently installed Windows 8 and since then, I can't play Flight. When displaying 3D content (Hangar or flight), the graphics are completely messed up. I can't update the gpu drivers because my HP laptop can only work properly with its original drivers from 2010... I wonder if any of you had the same problem before, and if there's any solution. There's a screenshot attached, which shows one frame only (the lines and random polygons are different in every frame). Thanks!

This is Cherokee Airport (AK45). I came upon it while getting the Aerocaches in this area. It's a little dark, although only 2:30 P.M. - sorry, that's Alaska for you at this time of year. Anyway, there seem to be 5, count them, 5 runways, one next to the other. Weird. I couldn't figure where to land, so I chose one at random. Wouldn't you know it? 1 in 5 chance of getting it right, and I got it... wrong. According to the Flight Map, the runway is on the far left, the first of the five. Still, landing where I did counted as an unique airport anyway. But, the runway texture is on the first. So, I went around and landed th…
