I will be away from my computer between 14:00 and 15:00 ET tomorrow and I need a volunteer to post the AOTD. I would very much appreciate someone lending a hand with this. Steve (Air1) was kind enough to do it for me over part of the Thanksgiving holiday so I feel a bit embarrassed to ask him again. Any takers? Please reply in this topic. Thanks

Here's one for those that want to find a VOR. If you want to make this one a challenge, start at a distant airport, dial in the frequency, and fly to the VOR. It will be good practice. Enjoy.

I got bored, and decided to go to the steam forums and have a look around. The first post I saw that wasn't a sticky, I clicked on, and I saw that stonelance posted something. I don't know if Kittychix left, but I'm pretty sure that there's a least a few Flight developers other than community managers still with Flight. There's no news on this, but I'm making an assumption that they're secretly doing something with Flight, because if Flight got cancelled, then shouldn't all their developers who worked on Flight be moved other than 1 or two excluding the community manager? Or am I dreaming with too many high hopes?

This AOTD was originally posted on 1/2/13 but showed no experience points. It is now posted with 2K ep. I have it checked off as if I had found it. I'm not sure. I'll open Flight and see. FINALLY - after nearly three months I have FLIGHT working again on my PC J It’s been a frustrating affair to say the least. I haven’t been trying constantly for three months, as I’ve had many other things on the go but here is what worked for me. Every time I tried to login to Windows LIVE I would get a message that said that my product key has been registered to another LIVE profile, but when I logged into the Windows market place there was all my content and although I could download it, none of it ever showed up in game so was unusable. With respect to everyone else's point of view about flight i can tell you that with flight i really get that feeling of opertating a airplane . in other words more realistic than any other sim .

Wasn't it during the beta testing that "we" discovered a new airport in Hawai'i? On Mau'i or Moloka'i? Not currently listed in Flight or FSX? One of these days I'll release a freebie for FSX in Hawai'i and now I want to recall a new airport. Am I imagining this or can someone help me recall?

Back to Hawaii for another waterfall. I believe this one is a bit more significant than some of the others we've found. Enjoy. There is a Wailua Falls on Kauai also and it feeds the Wailua River. This one is on Maui. From what I've read, the one on Kauai is the one warriors used to jump from.

A well-known and enterprising developer has put together the very first addon tool for Microsoft Flight. For the moment, the Flight Toolkit will: - extract airplane textures from the pak container so that they can be repainted; - then, it will create an addon package with the new livery including all the necessary files required for installation in Flight; - and finally, the Toolkit will install and enable the new addon package (livery) in game. As of this evening, I am unable to login to Games for Windows Live from within Flight. Arrgg!! No AOTDs!! It's just the generic message that the service may be down or there may be a problem with my "home networking equipment or firewall." No error number. The error message says to go to www.xbox.com/support, which I did, but I'm having a hard time finding help there for GFWL. I did a chat with a Microsoft person, who said she couldn't help me with GFWL, but she gave me a phone number to call - but, of course, they're closed now. So, I'll call tomorrow night, but I was wondering if anyone here could give me some tips for troubleshooting this problem in the mea…

Hello, I am new to the forum and I just started flying in Microsoft Flight. I am trying to get on Live to do some multiplayer flying, but it gives me a message of "The Live service may be unavailable". I was flying in multiplayer last night. During that day it won't let me sign on. Anyone else have this problem?

As some know, I have been repainting the Flight airplanes. That is because I always repaint FS airplanes in my personal liveries, so Flight is no different from any other version of FS. <_< Today I was in Fairbanks and decided to fly the CC to PAFS to collect the AOTD. I was cursing at about 500 ft. off the deck, when I came across this pink highway. I followed it SW to see where it went. It is the George Parks Hwy, Alaska Hwy 3. It’s pink for about 30 mi. If you take off on runway 33 at PAHV (Healy River) and turn to 280° to 290° you can’t miss it. Has anyone else seen this? :blink:

I am not a programer. I do have an idea though that makes sense to me but I do not have the programing skills needed. I have GMap from FSWidgets. This program picks info from Flight's Hud and shows your position on a GPS. The aircraft at the center of the GPS depicts the heading provided the Hud is enabled in Flight. So if we were able to pick altitude and heading info from the Hud similar to the way GMap picks heading info from the hud. Then take this info into a program that makes role/or yaw and pitch changes and sends them into Flight as joystick inputs. It might work as an autopilot or at least for heading hold. So I purchased the Alaska DLC during a sale but never got around to trying it. I decided to give it a go today, but after spending 1.5 hours trying to get it to work, I'm about to give up. If I go into the Windows Live client thing (without starting the actual game), it shows as "Installed". If I go to the map screen in the game and select Alaska, I get a message that says "Downloading content" for about 2 minutes, with a spinning circle. Then I get a message that I need to download "additional content". I click OK and get "Can't retrieve information from Live. Please try again later.
