This AOTD was originally released on Nov. 10, 2012. If you missed it, now's the chance to collect it. This one took me some time to collect. It can be pretty hard to find. Enjoy.

This topic is available to any repainters who wish to show off/publish their own liveries. Installation of any livery posted here is to be done with the Flight Tools Addon Manager by Stonelance. To get the ball rolling, I'll throw in my package below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Basix Cubs Pack I have ported the two liveries from the basic Carbon Cub to the deluxe Carbon Cub. I had to edit the VC textures to make the appropriate parts blue rather than the color of the previous repaint. Other than that, it was a fairly simple procedure. >> Download <<

Today`s AotD is as expected Iditarod 13- Shageluk. Get your Cub from the paint hangar, get it airborne and head over to Shageluk.

Could someone please post today's AOTD? I have to go to town for a meeting and I won't be back until late. It should be Iditarod 13. Thanks.

wondering if anyone has got as far as knowing were the building textures files are in flight so they can be repainted ????? an if even posible????

I've tried a number of times since about 1430 hrs. today to see what the AOTD for today was, but it's still not up. Really weird thing just happened. I went to the Flight site, and it showed the AOTD as Oh Deere and something about finding a tractor. When I went to the aerocache page, it had reverted to Iditarod 3- Yentna It may or may not come up tonight. If it does, enjoy the flight. If not, I'll look again in the morning and if it's up, I'll post it. Stay tuned. OK. Now it's up. Find a tractor in Terrace B.C. This should be interesting. Enjoy.

I've seen a lot of screenshots in the past, but I haven't seen much of Flight's screenshots. What about a screenshot contest for Flight? Just pure "v" key. No editing of a screenshot before posting. I want to see how these new liveries turn out.

I have been wanting to take out the new Avsim Cub painted and uploaded by JML - well the AOTD appeared to not be available, and I saw what appeared to be a new one for me at least - From Russia with Love, so I loaded her up and set off from Tin City for Lavrentiya Airport in Russia. Not a bad flight, across the Bering Sea, took me probably around 45 minutes or so to get there. So im having trouble adjusting sensitivity on my joystick. I am using a program called Logitech profiler for the job. But even setting the deadzone to 100% on all axis, the joystick doesnt seem affected at all... Anyone have a solution for this?

Hey gang, Is there any way to change the music in Flight, to what it was originally with the original release? Without having to dig in and do some major changes to files that might risk corrupting the installation? I like the guitar music that came with Alaska, but it is getting kind of old for me and I would not mind going back to the original music for a while. It would have been nice had that been a menu option allowing one to change easily, like it is in FSX. Just curious, thanks.

Something I would really like to see someday is a pop up window with your basic 6 or 8 flight instruments. I think it would be a real draw to selling the war birds without having to go to a full cockpit. It would make them so much easier to fly. I hope some smart individual could figure out how do that. Lot of us have been making sure to get all the Iditarod checkpoints. As mentioned, the race is underway as we speak. A Cessna 182 that stopped in Merrill from Anchorage and then was making its way to Takotna never arrived. Speculation is that these people may have been related to the race. One of my best friends moved from Phoenix to Anchorage last year to be a reporter for one of the major stations. This will be his story tonight and it will soon be released that the plane was reportedly found at Simpson Pass with no survivors. Microsoft gave us a beautiful place to explore and fly. Let us not forget that many places there are only accessible by air and me…

Now that the dust is settled and feelings are running a little cooler how do you all feel about Flight? Someone still flying it and enjoying it, or are some as bitter as me never wanting to run it again? Sure I'm angry that Microsoft dropped Flight, and Flight Simulator, but to me it boils down to Microsoft being very unethical. They tempted me to buy their DLC, but dropped the entire product long before it could ever be described as finnished. If I had known that it would be scrapped after a few months I wouldn't have used a nickle on it. The only ethical thing for Microsoft to do would be to refund all purchases. Rarely would anyone have tolerated similar behavi…

My Photoshop skills are a tad rusty and I needed a refresher, especially after I saw how tightly packed the Flight plane textures were. Hopefully this little video will be of some assistance for noobs at this (like me) in easily replacing colors.
