This is one of the interesting airports I visited just after the release of the Alaska pack. I like the approach. Enjoy.

I just came back to Flight after being away for quite a while. When I started up it updated the game. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks, Ron

I am already familiar with using the "Space Bar" to toggle on/off and going into "Options" and turning of the H.U.D. (however it does not affect the cross hairs) I was wondering if anyone would please care to take a look into maybe fixing the really bright cross hairs and "X" problem when trying to fly your plane? I will not be in the market for a joystick in the near future (maybe sooner than later....lol...hopefully) and will be flying with my mouse for some time. I would like to see the thing toned down almost to nothing. Something that you can see but so ghostlike that you almost cannot tell it's there during night missions. Same thing fo…

guys! I'd like to know if the are plans for a 3rd Party map, which is actually useful to navigate with? Each time i try to use the map for an AoTD hunt it's complety useless. When i look with bing on a real map and then go back to the game, it'd even hard to see that you actually flying over Alaska. Not even the shape of the coastline is of any use, nor are rivers of mountains. How are you guys using the darn map? best regards John

Recently increased my LOD radius and decreased autogen settings which had a very nice effect on visuals. With a few tweaks to the ENB mod as well the environment is looking bloody marvelous. I'm wondering if raising these settings: MeshComplexity=80 MeshResolution=22 has any effect? I'm guessing not...

This one sure sounds familiar. I looked at my AOTD list and didn't find it but it might be an early permanent cache. I'll have to look into that. At any rate, it you haven't logged it, now is the time to do so. Enjoy.

This aerocache is a repeat of 11/16/12. The description is wrong also. It should say "near Port Clarence". Enjoy.

I thought this was a repeat but in looking back, on 11/16/12, we had one named "Radio Tower" which was near Port Clarence. This is another contribution by Air1. Thanks again, Steve. Enjoy.

Neat. I've seen this in my ramblings about looking for waterfalls. Interesting that it would eventually be an AOTD. Enjoy the hunt.

Ahh. Christmas in April. In honor of the 25th, we get to go to Shaktoolik. This is an interesting area. I've flown up and down this coast looking around several times and landed at all the airports. This should be a pretty good cache to seek. Enjoy.

Today's repeat cache was originally posted on 11/21/12. I don't think it was too difficult to find. If you missed it then, you can collect it now. Enjoy.

I am not sure if you all are up to date on tech(Psh..of course you are, this is avsim after-all), but there is a little company coming out with a seriously out of this world Virtual Reality system that is suppose to be in consumer hands for right around 300 bucks. Do you think with the way MS FLIGHT is now, that they would ever develop the correct stuff(coding? graphics) to allow this to work? The device I am talking about is the Oculus Rift (www.oculusvr.com/) - Sorry if I cannot post links here, I am not sure, so I did. lol I would recommend watching you-tube videos if you haven't already, but I know that MS FLIGHT has support for head-tracking already, what…

This link is an indiegogo site soliciting for "... a photo-book about 15 airplanes abandoned in nowhere. All on board survived the forced landings." There's a video that shows crash sites that look eerily like some of the past AOTD's.

Today we have another of Hawaii's, especially Kauai's, famous waterfalls. I thought this one sounded familiar, but I checked my list and it isn't a repeat. Enjoy.

I expected to see a repeat AOTD today, but surprise, surprise. This is a new one. While I have no idea what a "freddybear" is, I'm gonna collect this cache. Enjoy. The description says "North of Kodiak". Don't believe it. I would recommend that you look at the internet offerings on this.

We're getting closer to Nome all the time. Today we go to good ol' Unalakleet. This is the home of ERA airlines and the tv show "Flying Wild Alaska". Hopefully we'll have better weather than some I've seen on that series. Enjoy.

When I press V to take a screenshot, where does the captured image go? What is the file type? What directory? I've searched this forum and can't find a direct answer. Appreciate any help... Thanks, Dean

Multiplayer may have been hacked. I was in several different multiplayer sessions today, and every one of them had at least one player with a Level 44 rating, and NO experience points of any kind. One session had ten players, and every one of them showed the fictitious Level 44 rating. I spoke to several of them and they said they had no idea why it was showing that way. I found some of them in other sessions later, and they had their regular rating (1 thru 20) back with all their experience points showing. Anyone seen this weirdness before? I just left the session a few minutes ago that had all players with a level 44. Everyone's labels and flight characteri…
