PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

Sorry if this has been addressed in another thread, however several search's found nothing relevant. As a seasoned 737NG (600/700 release) driver, I recently purchased the 800/900 add-on, and have noticed some new problems with the FMS. First problem although it's more of an annoyance is the numeric keypads bottom row is not mapping where the mouse is positioned over. Specifically when I move over the [0] key, it inputs an 8, however if I click at the very bottom of the button, I get the 0. I thought it might be my video, but this 'mapping' is isolated only to the numeric keypad as every other button maps properly.Second problem is a bit different regarding the operatio…

I'm having a CTD problem. The past two flights I have done, I've gotten the same CTD. The first was out of Burgas airport, and the second out of Budapest.Passing through somewhere around 15000 to 20000 feet, the screen goes black and I have to kill the process to get back to the desktop. Everything up to that worked perfectly. I program the FMC, take-off, turn on the autopilot, accelerate past 10,000 and then it crashes a few minutes later.I've done many other flights fine- the difference was that these two times were the first time I was using the TCAS, so there is a very large probability that that's causing the problem. And the CTD isn't just with the same aircraft vers…

I have a question for the 737-8/900 series. I'm climbing to the opt altitude and I let it sit there for a while to wait for the next opt altitude in my direction to show up. I've noticed that the OPT/MAX altitudes are within just a couple hundred feet of each other. Typically in the bigger jets you have an OPT of say 315 and a max of 346, mine right now is showing an OPT/MAX of FL311/FL333! What is going on with this feature? I was doing a long cross country with my takeoff 400 lbs under max gross and never made it above FL330 because when I tried to update the CRZ page to FL330 it went right to the DES page and I still had 2000 miles to go!!! Was there an update to the 8…

I have contacted GoFlight. No luck. I have contacted PMDG. No luck.I have contacted FlightSimLabs. No luck.I guess my $400 piece of hardware will sit like a brick while I fly the two airplanes that take up 99% of my time.PMDG says it's the guy at FlightSimLabs that won't let them release the driver. The guy at FlightSimLabs says they pulled it and he doesn't know why. Babies! Can anyone help me get this working? I know the driver must be out there. Please help!Steve

Hi everyone,I was wondering whether this was realistically simulated or not. It seems to me that a normal flaps 40 approach on the 737-800 results in a low pitch attitude and a flare of only 2 degrees pitch up or so...and this is at a normal vref+5 of 142 knots, without any wind correction. Is this normal? It seems to me there should be a little more pitch up attitude needed on final approach. If this is in fact unrealistic, what values in the aircraft.cfg or .air file would i edit to perhaps decrease flaps 40 lift (without messing with lift on lower flap settings needed for takeoff). Thanks for the help.Ben Bain

  7. On my pmdg 737 i dont get any flap vref speeds on the speedtape under my approach. I guess if i set my grossweight and my approach speed then there should come some flap speed indicators on the speed tape, right? If i select the vref on the speed switch the panel says "Invalid" - what do you think i'm doing wrong?

I apologize if this has previously been visited, but what causes the FMC Course Error message during the approach?I don't get it during every approach and it's not a big deal. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this andwhat can be done to prevent it.Thank you,Ken Boardman

Dear PMDG support group,When flying the 737-700 in FS2004, I get aligned on the runway and advance the trottles toward 70% N1 and I hear a very loud bell that won't go off untill I pull the throttles to idle. Also, when I trim the airplane, I cant tell how much I've trimmed it, is there any way to fix these problems? When taking off I advance throttles to 70% N1, press TO/GA and take off. Thanks,Lovetofly28

Recently installed W7 on my machine. Today I was installing the PMDG 737NG and it installs without problem, but noticed that when loading the aircraft for the PMDG work in FS2004. He did not to start loading the FS2004 is AIRAC where selected some of the PMDG aircraft. Handcuffs know how to proceed? Or is it like? I tried running as Admin. and will not ... This is my firts topic hereRegards :(

I'm new to the program, and I really like it. Having flown the 737NG for a while, I do have some insight, however. While coming in for an approach, I really like to keep an eye on the V/B and I use the VSR to gauge my descents if I'm not in VNAV. That said, the sim really doesn't seem to be very accurate with these tools. The VSR seems to be all over the place and V/B seems to be way off with a simple 3-1 mental math check. Anyone else have that problem?Oh, and I'd really like to be able to put the runway on the descent page, rather than simply the next fix. Thanks,Matt Colles

Ive always been led to believe that you needed the 600/700 series to run the 800/900 series.Yet i read this following quote from another forum;"...This statement is misleading. You do not have to already have the 600/700 in order to install the 800/900 - they are stand-alone products."Is this right? Can i download and purchase the 800/900 series without purchasing the 600/700 series? Thanks for replies.Andy. Something is really screwy. The last 2 times I have been using the 737NG in FS2004, there are times when (in LNAV and autopilot) it suddenly veers off course and banks hard to the right. It also happens on final approach. I can not see any obvious reason for this. I have updated the FSUIPC.dll without any success. Any one else hard this issue?

Hi All,Whenever I start a flight with the 737NG for FS9 my Altimeter setting is standard on inches of mercury, where in most of the rest of the world it's given in Hectopascals, or millibars. Since I fly mostly in Europe I would like to have it displayed on the PFD in millibars (1013).Is there a way of changing this? I know there's a click spot on top of the EFIS, but I am building my own cockpit and that panel is hidden from few. Thanks for any tips.Jeroen Bos

I have been considering purchasing the 800/900 series. I already have the 600/700 series. I was wondering if anyone could supply a quick recap of what is "really" new vs a repackage or marketing-speak and it is worth the extra dollars? My areas of interest aren't really around the modeling of flight characteristics as I am not a 737 pilot so I won't know the difference. I am thinking more from a standpoint of having the 600/700 series, is there a set of reasons that would make this add-on something to really consider worthwhile? Thanks.John

  20. I'm still flying FS2002 partly because Dreamfleet never ported over its B737-400 to FS2004 and partly because you don't have to have an installation CD in the drive to run it!Anyway, I finally decided to get into using the FMC/CDU on PMDG's NG for FS2002 and need to find out how to update the navdata. I tried coping the contents of the FS2004\PMDG\SIDSTARS folder into it's FS2002 counterpart but this had no effect.I found a "FMCWP" folder in FS2002 whose contents appear to be navdata files as well for the 0812 cycle. Is this folder overriding the \PMDG\SIDSTARS folder? At anyrate, the navdata installer Navigraph provides only installs the navdata for FS2004 and FSX. Te…

Hey all...I have been trying to integrate the Reality XP WX500 weather radar into my pmdg 737-700 aircraft. From looking at post and screenshots, many have pulled off the merge and a handfull (including me), have yet to be successfull at it.I am curious to know if anyone here has merged the two and if so...how??? I followed the how to steps from a website (see link below) which include screenshots however after following these steps very closely, I still cannot merge the two. Any help is appreciated.Screenshots and Steps: http://www.mythicalireland.com/other/plane...ather-radar.php

Hi,I have just recently downloaded the 737NG and am very impressed, but I wondered if there is an option to change the a/c condition when the simulation starts. At the minute, it starts with the engines on even when parked at a stand, but I would prefer to have them switched off so to be able to start them on push back as in the real world.Cheers,Airportjam

For some reason, all of a sudden, the nose wheel on my 747X is not turning. The aircraft turns fine, however the turning movement of the nose wheel is not represented. I've read other posts saying be sure advanced animations is on (I assume they mean under the FSX menus) and it is. All my other aircraft FSX default as well as payware work and turn fine. What could it be?There isn't an Advanced animations button in the PMDG setup is there?Any help would be appriciated. Thanks,Dave
