Helps to better understand how to do these touch and go's. Sidenote: having difficulties with the FMC while setting it up for an ILS approach to an airport I have just taken off from. Usually when coming in for a landing and setting up the FMC for a ILS approach-->the legs page will show the altitude to be at for each waypoint of the ILS. It doesn't matter what I do (deleting and re-inputting the arrival airport, deleting the runway for that airport I have just taken off from) the altitudes for the wayp…

    Hello PMDG crew...I just posted a topic yesterday and it was ereased...I don't know why...Anyway, here I go again...My problem is that a few months ago the 737 and the MD11 suddenly began giving me low frames, less than 30fps, and I ussually get 90 or more...my problem is not my computer because I have an Intel i7-920 2.6 with 6GB of RAM. I know 30 fps is not that bad but in my PC is, because the plane moves slow, i don't know what it really is but it bothers me a lot now...I can't fly like I did before...same happends with the MD11...so any ideas what's the problem?!     Hi,is there any chance to get the status of the overhead panel annaunciator lights (eg Fuel, Gen Bus, Anti ice,...) in form of FSUIPC Offsets from the PMDG 737 to connect them to an USB Output Card von Opencockpits? So we can build an own overhead based on the perfect PMDG 737.thanks,Mark

    I was surfing the PMDG Homepage and found something pretty interesting on the "About PMDG" page.In the lower left corner you see a little animation, showing several screenshots and pictures, this is one of them:Well that doesn't look like the usual PMDG 737NG to me, so is that the first screenshot of PMDG's upcoming 737NGX?BTW: The scenery in the background looks like FlyTampas KSEA, which only works in FS9... :(

Hello,Firts of all, i only fly with FS9 (FS2004).When the MD 11 was released, i'm so happy that i immediatly buy it to fly with this powerful aircraft.But now, i would like to fly short haul too, and i would like to buy the 737 (from -600 to -900).But i don't know if i can install the 737 suite after the MD11 has been installed.Thank you to answer to this question and if there is something to do before, thanks to say it to me.Gilles MenardiLFMN

    From what I've heard you guys are hard at work on the new 737NGX, but I just wanted to know if the HUD system will be simulated. On other 737s I've seen when they simulate the HUD they make it very basic, and I hope that if you are gonna simulate it you will do it the way I know you can, with all of the real features that are really offered.Kevin W.

    Finally got FS Build to work with ASv6. How to you work out the values to put in the fuel planning page on FS Build for the 737NG? Taxi would be about 15 mins I guess, but how about Alternate, Hold and Extra? How do you know what to put for Alternate? For example I have my alt at 157nm from arrival airport. How do I know what value to enter as I don't think you can just put in the distance.Andy S

    Hi everyone.Can anyone tell me how to delete a route discontinuity in the 737' FMC? Whatever I do the disco never disappears. I have tried the delete and clear button, I have tried clicking on the way point below and by passing the disco (this works in the 747) Nothing seems to work. I have looked at the manuals and cannot seem to find any referecne to how this is done.Any tips would be greatly appreciated.ThanksJimmy

  11. I have a 24 inch wide screen and use the 1960X1200 resolution so I therefore have the FMC button problem. If I then use the PC keyboard keys, all work ok except the minus key which displays / in the FMC scratchpad instead of -. Is this a known error or is it my configuration?

    To PMDGI live near a major Southwest Airlines hub and noticed that sometimes the 737-700's have their landing lights in a flashing pattern from left to right and so on. Is there a way this can be incorporated to the new 737 for FSX.Thank YouMichael Davis

    Hello Everybody.Having been a loyal PMDG 737NG/747/MD11 customer, I have always been puzzled with the following;When I select the 737 or the 747 variants for a START location on the Active Runway, I always seem to be positioned to the Left of Runway Centreline?Now, if I choose the MD11, she lines up smack bang right in the middle?Is there a little fix I can execute myself, or is it one of those " use the Slew key to get back on Centreline".I have have the latest service updates for all aircraft as well as the Latest Airac cycles.Always been puzzled by it.Many thanksTom L.

    Hi Captains!Well, I've searched many sites, including the technical site http://www.b737.org.uk/ but did not have a practical explanation about the FLAP 2 Position on the 737's.I see that flap 2 pos. is seldom used, according to flight/tech. videos. 1st FLAP1 then FLAP5 according to TO and LDG procedures.So anyone can explain me or point me some info/site with the explanation of FLAP2 position?     Hi to all,I am still an enthusiast simpilot of the B738 that is until now, according to me, one of the best addons for FS9 (i.e. all fuel flows and N1 regimes agree almost perfectly with the Continental B738 FCOM tables).Just a curiosity I often use the failure generator for training purpose but while I can always trigger V1 failures engine fires etc, I've noted that some failure doesn't work i.e. if I seklect an "hydraulic pump failure" nothing happens (the only possibility I've it's to switch off the pump manually) and so for others i.e. "birdstrike" "nosegear" etc. any idea for that? I can't remember if this could be 'cause I've installed the B744-B744F too...Any idea?…

    I keep having a problem on approach in the 737. When I am on or nearly intercepted the LOC and GS I get a sudden uncommanded increase in throttle while on A/T. This is without me doing anything. It just goes to full or very near full power and shoots up from around 180kts to well over 200kts and would probably keep going until overspeed. Disconnecting the A/T and setting power by hand stops the increase in power. and no I'm not hitting the TOGA swich by accident. lolAndy S

    B737-700 Every once in awhile when I program my FMC at an airport with a generic SID, such as Buffalo, I get a VECTOR as the first waypoint. Problem is that this waypoint is never met and I can't remove it to continue on my route. i've looked in the manual and can't seem to find any mention of it.Can anyone help me resolve this issue.

    Hi there!I just made a little trip from DTTA to LMML with the 737-8. I wanted to set some failures. So i opened for the first time the failures manager and i was really surprised to see it. It's not as good as the md11 and 747 ones (i don't want to say it's bad even if I think that). So, I planed to have some electrical failures and i was surprised to don't see a message on the EFIS to tell me there was a failure... Is this normal??Thanks!

    Hi Everyone,I am currently having a problem with the pmdg 737-800/900 series. Whenever i get to my cruising altitude it levels off but after about 5 or 10 minutes it starts climbing again. I use the vs switch to commence the climb and it automatically switches to altitude hold when it reaches the crusing altitude. I don't have this problem with the Jetstream 41 so its just this aircraft in my collection Many Thanks James

    Check out these 737-700 climb rates. I take it the next version of the 737-700 shouldn't struggle with getting off the ground at places like KMDW with a full load like the last version did. The link below shows pretty impressive performance out of a hot location like Vegas (temps today were hovering around 98 degrees). I want to get some KMDW data to distances as far as KLAX or KSAN to see how aggressive the climb and speed is to altitude.
