PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

Hi I have the PMDG 737NG and when I descend i use full speedbrakes but they dont slow me down, I have the trust pulled back fully and full spoilers so can any one help me? Is there a way to increase the effect on the spoliers in the aircraft.cgf that I can change, if so please help? THANKS:)

I know I'm late to the party - having just purchased 600/700 AND 800/900 package. Is there a forum just for beginners? I'd hate to bother all the experienced folks with basic questions on installation....

Anyone know of a good, current Airtran paint for the 737-700. I found one on flightsim but it's missing the winglets and all the ones I found on AVSIM are still not working; thanks.

Hi everybody I'm a newbie to the forums.I own both the 737NG and the 747-400 for FS2004. They're both great and I love flying them but this has been a spcific problem for me for some time with the 737 and I've looked all over the web but nobody seems to have this problem as far as I can tell but me. Hi all. My PMDG737-800 displays the red brakes message in the lower left corner even after I have show_brakes_message=0 in the fs9.cfg file. This message pops up as I reach my initial t/o altitude of 6000 (being controlled via autopilot) and remains there until it brings the plane to a complete standstill upon landing. It then will disappear as I continue to taxi. Any ideas what may be causing this. AutoBrake setting is set to off.Spoilers not armed.Bill

Good afternoon all,I have recently added the 738 to the stable and thanks to a few guys (Norman and Andrew) sorted out a few teething problems and all appears ok. I have the livery and the FS9.1 patch, the no CD patch etc.All operations appear normal except for the following,I first manually adjust the fuel weight with the load manager.Then thinking that isnt carried through the programme simulation I have manually adjusted the weight using what is best described as FS2004 weight adjustment..From what I can see it appears ok.I then load the FMC as per the parameters I need.It appears ok and I blast of on a Flaps 5 departure with Takeoff speeds from the charts..I select G…

I'm finding that I'm having trouble seeing the runway on approach and flare in the VC with the 737's. I usually land at flaps 30, and stick to the Vref the FMC gives me. I usually cross threshold at about 5 degrees of pitch, which means I can't see very much at all.Am I doing something wrong? Should I try flaps 45, or maybe try and adjust the trim?what do you think? Well I was having a problem witrh the 737-800. I had downloaded and installed the PMDG 737 -600/700 and all was well. Then I bought the PMDG 737-800 (via ebay) and installed the standalone version. Then I got a" brakes message" appearing which I posted about a few days ago. No solution found so I decided to uninstall and then reinstall the PMDG 737-800/900 from the disk. I had previously installed the Air Europa livery on the 737-800 and had this set as my default flight. Now when I try to run FS9 I get a message saying the AirEuropa Livery cant be found and fs9 refuses to continue loading past that point. How can I solve this - please. I am an FS9 junkie!!Bill

Hi all, sorry for my bad english. This afternoon i flew from Innsbruck to Lisbon. The flightplan was made with FSNAV and imported in the PMDG FMC. After the first leg i switched on L - and VNAV + CMD A. As soon i reached cruise level i just played a bit around with the altitude. The FMC was in the "cruise mode". Somehow i wanted to descent 1500 ft, so i adjusted the MCP and clicked on : "Alt Int". at that point, the FMC skipped to the Descent mode but i still had 300 nm to go. Is there a way to step back into the previous FMC mode? Normally its Climb, cruise and descent. But when you are in descent mode, is it possible to go back to cruise?Grtz Boby

Is my understanding correct that if you uninstall the pmdg 737-800/900 and then reinstall it that the gauges might not get installed? I had to reinstall it but when I start the flight everything is there but the LCD's and FMC are blank/black. Battery and standy on but nothing changes.Where I read about the gauges not being installed in the support page of the pmdg site it says to mail in the CD the aircraft came on for proof you did originally purchase it and they would ship out a new one--something along those lines.Thanks,Chris Porter

Hi All,Id like a headsup on the correct position and names of 737-800 exterior lights. Its my thinking that :1) Anti Coll lights are Red they flash and are positioned on top and underneath the aircraft.2) Beacons/Strobes four flashing white, one each wing , at the rear two.3) Wing only used to inspect wings and illuminate the wing area, yes one each wing.4) Logo lights at the rear tail area used dusk/dawn and in IFR/IMC conditions.5) Landing lights used on app and on dep dusk/dawn ( unsure )?6) Runway left and right lights used to taxi right or left from to runway.7) Taxi used leaving apron left on up to FL180, turned on again when?Any other info on the subject greatfull…

Hi,Having moved to FS X for quite some time now, it's been a while since I've used the 737 NG. However, I was lucky enough to sit in the jumpseat for the duration of a short flight last weekend and I couldn't get over how close to reality your product has achieved. From the sounds and ambience, to the instrumentation & lighting, everything was absolutely spot on.My experience was such that I'm reinstalling FS 2004 and the NG until you release V2.0.Needless to say, I'm eagerly anticipating it :-)John

Hi everyone,I've just been doing a search of around 10 pages to try and find some answers to my questions / queries but I couldn't find any.I'm using the Aerosoft published PMDG 737-800/900 addon, along with the Aerosoft published 747-400.I don't have any issues or problems with the 744.However, what I would like to know, is if it is at all possible to install the 737 updates with just the 737-800/900 series? - I appreciate that it isn't the complete NG package, but I don't have the sufficient funds and/ or wants for the previous NG version anyway. - I prefer realism and not many operators fly the -700/600, when compared to the 800.Therefore, I don't fancy spending $50 on…

I have been flying the PMDG 737 for years now, 1,500 hours total time in the type. I never had this problem before, every flight the engines shutdown, I turned off all of my add ons, FS PAX, Weather, I un-installed- re-installed and same results. This happens sometime after push back, on final, and takeoff. Anyone know what the problem is?

After nearly 5 years experience with the PMDG 737 I have another first -on my last two flights into KRNO and KBOI the ILS will not tune - first I thought that the freq is not correct in the database, but at leastin BOI the freq was correct.Any ideas what I am doing wrong - since more than 200 approaches with ILS tuning - now this . . .Apparently I switched off/on (?) something . . .Any help appreciated - don't be angry with me if I don't answer - I am out of town next week . . .

I noticed something strange when I tried to program the FMC in the 737NG for an arrival into ENBR (Bergen, Norway). From the charts I have all the alt constraints up until the turn for finals are XXX or above. So the first constraint in the FMC was (can't remember the waypoint) 250/FL140A. This caused the TOD mark on the flight path to flash and keep changing from being on the waypoint with /FL140A to a point quite a few nm before it. Obviously the point that was before the /140A waypoint was the correct one but why did it flash and change every second or so?I redid the waypoint to be at FL140 and not /FL140A and this fixed the problem. Any ideas what is wrong? I don't kn…
