PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

Hi,I hope someone here can point me in the right direction to solve a puzzling mystery for me. I work for an airline as sys admin and the maintenance department wants to use the PMDG 737 as an educational tool to show maintenance personel the working of various systems. Being the resident Flight sim fanatic, they asked me to do the install.I installed their copy of the 600/700, and after that the 700/800, under a users account which I first gave administrator rights (Windows XP) on the pc.After starting up the flight sim and selecting the 800 (or any other model) there are two things wrong : The right hand side light switches on the overhead panel don't move and don't wor…

OK, I did a search, but due to not being able to use 2 letter words, I can't find what I am looking for so maybe someone can help out. Last night, I flew from Leipzig to Rome and when I tried to insert the runway (8R), the FMC reported that the runway was not in the database. I went to Navigraph and downloaded the last Airac cycle (0912) for PMDG and installed it. I even verified that the runway is listed in the EDDP file. I went into the game to see if it now showed up in the FMC and am still getting the not in database error. How do I stop said error message when in fact the runway is listed? Neither the 8L or 8R runways are found with the FMC while 26R is. I find it od…

One MAJOR thing I'd like to see on the NGX for FSX is multiplayer cockpit sharing compatibility.My friend and I like to do flights every once in a while where we share the cockpit using FSX's cockpit sharing abilities. The only problem, and a pretty big one, is that more advanced aircraft with advanced gauges do not synchronize with the other player. I've read that somewhere in the FSX SDK, there is a way to support the ability to share the cockpit with advanced gauges.This would be very nice to see!

Does anyone have a alternative site to download this repaint, Avsim file is not yet recovered. Tried Flightsim to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Regards

Good day Every one,in the B737NG of PMDG the Flaps transition is much faster than in the Real B737 especially for Clean-F1-Clean transition time, can somebody tell me how we can fix this in PMDG.Thank you for help.

Simple question, how hard would it have been to make the 737 for FS9 work in FSX. I know your making the NGX but its still at least a year away. Could with a little work done to it have been a possibility.

Today I purchased the Boeing 737 600-700 New generation in download form. After loading in to the flight sim, I went to check it out and saw that the CRTs were empty, no image or the PFD or ND. I clicked on the overhead panel icon and got half a blank screen. The radio or throttle icon when clicked, produced nothing. Does anyone know why a newly purchased download would be like this. It's very frustrating. I encountered none of these problems when I purchased the 737 800-900 series.John

Hi thereWhen I fly approaches in the 738 and I slow down to a point when I need to set flaps to be able to keep slowing down the plane, target speed drops to 0 instead of the right minimum speed for 1 degree of flaps (actually it does that for any flap settings)Obviously it ends up stalling or I get an OVERSPEED DISCONNECT.The 737-600 seems to work just fine, and I can complete my descent on VNAV without any problems.Is it a bug or am I missing something?ThanksDario Iriberri

Hi I have the 737-700/900 addons and im trying to set some keys but they are not saving , most are but these are the ones that are not ..MCP Press ALTHLD CTRL+P needs to be Ctrl+Shft+PMCP Press CMD L TAB+ A needs to be Ctrl+Shft+AMCP Decrease Heading CTRL+TAB+P needs to be Ctrl+Shft+XMCP Press SPD INTV CTRL+TAB+M needs to be Ctrl+Shft+8 After i edit them they revert back to default once i close it Any ideas ? how can some thing be stopping them but not others ? I'm unable to tune the KRNO I-AGY localizer (109.90). I've encountered this problem once before at a different airport but decided to investigate this time :)I'm using AIRAC 0912 from www.navigraph.com and I've verified the \FMCWP\NAVDATA\wpNavAPT.txt and wpNavAID.txt files contain the ILS information.This approach was added after FS9 was released, and default aircraft using the FS9 nav data are obviously unable to tune this localizer. However, I thought the PMDG FMC relied entirely on it's own nav data, so I'm a bit confused.Anyone have any insight, or are able to tune this successfully? :)Thanks for any help!Brandon

Sorry, I could not find a topic on this but I have a ticklish feeling in my brain that this may have been mentioned.After a long time I installed the 600/700 + 800/900 models on my machine. They work just fine, but some other addons like the Level-D 767 and the PMDG MD-11 fail to load. Any attempt to load those aircraft, either via a saved flight of a creating a new flight ends by FS9 crashing due to unknown module when the scenery load bar 0% appears.Any ideas?

I just wanted to know If anybody had a copy of PMDG 737NG Timothy M. Metzinger FMC tutorial release 2.0 I used to have it saved on my computer but I had a harddrive crash. Also I can no longer find it on the internet. I have looked for over a week and just cant find it. So if anyone has a copy of the file I would greatly appreciate it.

I am flying a route I enjoy without anything entered in the FMC. Can I ( and how please) start a route in flight using the FMC without resetting the whole flight.George KPHX

Is there a way to tweak fuel capacity on the 700 version,by editing the aircraft.cfg file?Or is this embedded into the model itself?Which lines need to be edited if possible?

Hello,I fly every flight with the PMDG 737-800. But when I arrive at my destination airport and I am ready for the return flight a major problem comes up.When I arrive at the gate and I want to reset the FMC so that all the data from the flight that I've just done is cleared, I don't know how. Every time I delete every input that I've done but thats a lot of work.Is there a way to reset the FMC so that all the data is cleared?Thank you and sorry for not having the best English.Regards,Daniel Rosh.

I keep getting very dodgy approaches with the 737NG when flying STARs with LNAV and VNAV. It seems to hit all the alt restrictions ok during the first part of the descent but when it gets into the STAR it's another story. First off slowing to 250kts at FL100 is almost impossible. When I finally get it to 250kts it stays there but then when I descend as per the STAR it always shoots back up again even with speed brakes out. I also always get overspeed disconnects when following STARs. Hi everyoneMy taxi/landing lights work, but they just won't light the area right ahead of the plane. They are just little spots in the nose and wings.I purchased the 3D lights redux add-on and the lightning shows up but still can't see any lightning on the runway or taxi waysAny ideas? thanks :)Dario Iriberri

Hi,I decided to fly NG again in FS2004, but since I have massive modifications and custom-setups for both 747 and MD11, I would appreciate your advice on any shortcuts or solutions for this issue. I read somewhere that one of the ways is to temporaty rename pmdgoptions.dll into *tmp, install PMDG 737 and then return old (newest) pmdgoptions.dll into action.Could someone confirm this workaround OR...provide your own method.ThanksDmitriy T. Ok.....we've spent literally 3 hours looking at this and still no answers.Those of you with experience with repainting the 737... go download the Singapore 737-700 and ATA -700. Load up in the Singapore livery and look at the strobe/navi light area... Everything checks out right?Now load the ATA livery and look at the wing light area. The light TEXTURE isnt there. The strobes and navi LIGHTS themselves will work in sim but the texture for the actual light fixtue isnt there. The same thing is happening with the repaint kit. Does ANYONE have a answer as to why this is happening and what can be done to fix it? We've got to be looking over something.... help us out!

I installed the 737NG (-600/700) in FS2004 on my current computer earlier this year, and it ran fine. However, I tried to fly it the other day, and FS2004 wouldn't respond (after I clicked 'Fly Now', the screen went black and the Vista spinning circle curser displayed). I recently upgraded my graphics card drivers, and upgraded from Vista SP1 to SP2, so I'm not sure if those factors played a role. Here are my computer specs:

I would like to get the 737NG from PMDG but it says its Win XP only on the compatability tab and im just wondering if it will work in vista (FS9). Its the only PMDG aircraft other than the B1900 that I dont have hehe.Just thought I would check with you guys before buying.
