PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

I'm looking at the failures menu under ENGINE then as I look under description I am led to believe that I can set up a V1 failure for either engine rather than Random or timed. Is this true? so far I've had no luck. I don't want to time a takeoff from power application to V1 for a specific weight and it will still be off. I will appreciate your help.Bruce Jacobs

Hi, So heres my problem.I have both flight sim 2004 installed and after installing the pmdg 737- 600/700 the engine sounds are terrible. i start the aircraft up and set it up for a flight, but when spooling up the engine sounds are not smooth. they sound as if there is only one set of sound for a set N1% then it changes to a higher pich.Can anyone shine any light on this?PLEASE! :( Thanks

Hi guys im realy getting agervated at this... well, it seems that everytime i fly online at vatsim, the PMDG 737800's radio stack freezes. Like when i turn the frequency dial it wont change.Nor can i press the little arrow button on between the freq numbers.Its stuck... im not sure if its squawkbox, fs9, or PMDG thats doing this.Does anyone know how to fix this??? i cant change the COM freq.

I have had the 737 working fine and it had no problems on my last flight. I have not changed the installation at all since then but now the keyboard commands don't work. I mean things like pressing S to chance the view or alt to display the menu bar. No of them do anything. All the joystick and panel mouse clickspots/switches work fine. The keyboard commands work fine in my other add-ons, it's just the 737 that isn't working.Any idea what could be causing this?Andy S

I alwaysd thought the rattling clackety-clack of the trim wheel an odd sound and exagerated in the PMDG and another 737 sim.Watching a the World Air Routes GOL 737 video I realize that the sound is actually even more persistent in real life than in either sim.My question is: is the noise a result of the design and construction or was it designed and built to make that noise?What causes the noise?And why, in this day and age of electronics and gadgetry, does the elevator trim have to be controlled by such a clunky, huge and old-fashioned device?Okay, thats three questions, but whos counting.Nicholas

Good morning everyone, I have the 737 and find it a great a/c to fly however there is a few things holding me back, although its great the display lets me down a bit (as per screenies) and this is with the update, v1.3 i thinkI also have an issue with the airbrake, when i touchdown,and i have to manually mouse over the lever in the throttle panel to activate it and then deactivate it so i can get throttle again(in the event of a go around after ive just touched the wheels down) even when just trying to get it to throttle i get the buzzing noise saying i cant throttle, and pushing / doesnt work - although it moves the lever it doesnt activate and deacivate it allowing me t…

Does the 737 work with Saitek controls. I have a registered version of FSUIPC but I can not get the speedbrake/spoilers to work at all. Has anyone got this to activate if so plese tell me how you set it up as I can not use this aircraft, and its only this one I can not figure out. Geoff :(

Hi, well im using the PMDG 737 600/700/800/900, and i cant seem to install liveries onto them anymore, I download them from the PMDG site, go through the installer, and it then tells me its installed, and when i go onto flight sim, nothing, I have some liveries installed, they worked, but the ones I download now, from the PMDG site, just wont appear on my aircraftAny ideas?Thanks

Anybody know when I fill in my fms it starts to stutter? I enter fuel then it says i have insufficiant insufficient and then starts to stutter. I start over my fms with nothing filled in and there is no stuttering. this happens with model 600-900. I have the md-11 and 747 and those 2 work fine.

OK. A I begin using this fine simulation I am running into some problems with the FMC. First of all it was originally loaded from a disc. The AIRAC cycle is 0904, old. The FMC OP PROGRAM is 549849-011. When I select an arrival, say the ILS34R at KSEA, when I go to the legs page it says in the scratch pad "disco inserted after KLEWS. The fixes are KLEWS 4000A then BUCKK 2200 then the runway. I cannot bring BUCKK up to close the disco. It won't let me. KLEWS is part of the approach not a transitional way point on a SID. The fact that I can't delete KLEWS (INVALID DELETE) proves that. Also, and stranger, on every airport that I've tried (KPDX, KDEN) the final fix, in this ca…

Before anyone jumps down my throat,I have done a search for this topic to see if it has been aired before without success.Is there any way to improve the cockpit night lighting coz the Dome Light switch is not modelled? Of all the PMDG aircraft,this is the only one I know that has an almost dark cockpit,that seeing any of the landing lights switches is almost impossible.If anyone has any suggestions to lighten up the cockpit at night,I'd like to hear from them.RICK ALMEIDA

I was wondering if the pmdg737-800 upgrade will work with windows vista. I have the disk based version of the 737-600/700 but never upgraded. I'm thinking about it. Thank Youanthony

I have twice successfully accessed the Load Manager for the tutorial flight and saved per the manual, I also terminated both flights prior to landing. Since then I have tried to re-access the Load Manager and get a 'Fatal Error' message -"could not detect a valid Flight Simulator installation" even though the Load Manager is in the PMDG folder within the main FS9 folder. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the 737NG, but still the same problem occurs. Do I have to re-install my FS9?Has anyone else had this problem and what is the solution?James Smith

Not sure what this means and can't find the answer in the documentation. Almost every time I'm descending for a landing, I get the amber "Off Shed Descent" light on the cabin pressurization panel. I have the manual valve closed, the system set to auto and the landing altitude of my destination set.Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?Thanks in advance.

Hi Folks:Earlier today I flew from KPDX to KSEA on a PMDG 737-700. The flightplan followed the route BTG OLM OLM3. On arrival I was cleared to 34L and selected ILS34L and the OLMx.34L STAR on the FMC. The FMC confirmed the ILS frequency of 110.75, but as I made the turn to 34L, descended and selected APP on the AP the FMC displayed nav invalid on the scratchpad. I was unable to receive the localizer and glideslope. I checked the AFCAD and KSEA 34L was correct. What am I doing wrong? I have navigraph cycle 0905 and sidstars cycle 1001 installed.Thanks for any help! BTW handflying the approach was successful! (just barely) :( Airbus

Hey guys, I have been noticing that my PMDG 737 is starting to get horrible frames(as low as 1 FPS, I used to get 40-50). However, this doesn't happen with any of my other add-on aircraft, such as the Wilco 737, Level-D, Captain Sim, etc. I have tried reinstalling the PMDG a few times but this still doesn't fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas on improving the frames on this? It used to run great but one day it just dropped suddenly. Thanks Matt Elston

Hi,I've recently upgraded my laptop PC from Windows Vista 64 to Windows 7 64 Home Premium. I've done a completely new installation of my FS9 without any problems. I also have Active Sky 6.5 installed, up and running. I also installed the PMDG 737 NG ver 1.3 and here I encountered the following symptoms. I can set up a flight and program the FMC with a route and SIDS. Everything works fine. I can start the engines, taxi and take off without any problems. Once airbourne I activate VNAV & LNAV and here is the problem. The auto pilot does not do anything. The aircraft just keeps flying straight ahead and does not follow the flight plan programmed into the FMC. The route …

First of all, I don't own the plane. That's why I ask these questions, to find out something I have been wanting to know for some time now:1) Can you save the panel state of the 737 (for FS9, of course, not the NGX!)? It doesn't have to be as fancy as the 747 or MD-11, it's fine if it's in the way of the J41.2) If 1) is answerd with no: exactly how time consuming would it be to enable this functionality in the 737? Will it require a complete rewrite of the code, or is it a quetsion of an extra module that saves all outputs of the gauges to a single file?

Hi!Everything was working fine with my PMDG 737 until today.When I access the aircraft, it doesn't accept any keyboard inputs. Even if I press S for spot view nothing happens.If I change to another aircraft everything goes back to normal but not with the PMDG.Any suggestions on what might be happening?Thanks much in advance.Teo

I have a CH yoke and throttle quadrant. I am trying to program the switches on the quadrant for MCP functions such as airspeed increase/decrease, Heading increase/decrease, Altitude increase/decrease. I have done this before with my PMDG 747-400 and the Level D 767 with not problems. I am finding that heading and altitude will only decrease while airspeed will both increase and decrease. Very unusual. I am using the PMDG pull down menu and Keyboard Commands. Then with FSUIPC I program with aircraft specific selected. I have never had this problem. Any ideas? Is it possible to plan a descent in the FMC to reach an altitude XX miles before XXXXX?as example in the EGSS charts it says "Expect to cross 15nm before IDESI at FL200" ?
