Hi everyone!I've been flying around for the past two hours and I must say that, overall, it is a very nice product. However, unfortunately I have to say this, I am a little disappointed.I'm the type that doesn't really care for virtual cabins or virtual cockpits, but rather for system functionality, and I was pretty excited to get my hands on this aircraft. Just check all those features on the PMDG site :-)Well, I am no 737 driver, but still there are quite a few things that I don't like. It seems the batteries are able to supply all the displays and as soon as you switch off the battery (with the generators on!) you lose all the power... Not very realistic :-(And that is …

Hello,I just installed the 737NG on my win 2k system (I installed the gdi plus patch). Now fs2002 crahes each time I select a 737NG with a virtual cockpit and start the flight. The aircraft shortly shows up at the airport, nothing happens for some seconds and them I get a flight simulator crash message (sorry for the german, I just happen to have the german version):http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/20362.jpgWhen I click on the blue link I get this message:http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/20366.jpgWhat can I do??? Hello all.. new to the Avsim Forums, experienced in almost all things "Avsim" .I just bought the PMDG 737TNG, and I was, to say the least, ecstatic. When FS2002 loads, the "Create a Flight" screen shows up. I then go to Newark Liberty Intl.(KEWR), load up the 737-700 w/winglets/cabin/stairs/VC, then I click FLY. The scenery indexes load, and then I get a glimpse of the 737 sitting on the tarmac.. Then, nothing else.. At that point, the whole sim freezes. I thought it may have been scenery related, so I go to Chicago O'Hare Intl.(KORD); same problem. I then try to load FS2002 in the POSKY CRJ-200ER at KEWR, and that loads just fine. I press ALT+A+A to bring up the a…

When selecting the PMDG 737 aircraft within MSFS2002, the get the message that FS2002 was unableto load some 3rd party software and identifies the file in the subject line above. Can't fly the plane. Any solution?GrantM

First off, best aircraft I used in a long time although confined to just using the 2D panel due to below listed problem. Very good job otherwise and the whole team should be proud of themselves. The framerate degration when going from the VC to 2D is very bad (by the way, I start in 2D and go to VC and then problem occurs when going back to 2D). I go from a steady 15 fps (where it is locked) to 1-3fps. I have tried Lefteris's suggestion of clicking on some other icon but that does not work when in full screen mode and seems to not work that well as a work around when in full screen. I don't know what the solution is but I hope PMDG comes up with one cause that VC looks top…

Hi PMDG,I just bought your 737 and it seems to have some major problems with it's vertical guidance. I took a short flight from KCLT to KATL at FL240 to give the plane a try. I put in the crossing restriction of 13,000 and 250 kts at WOMAC as published on the MACEY 2 arrival. About 5 minutes out of top of descent I reset the MCP altitude for 13,000.The plane continued along to the FMC computed T/D as normal, and upon reaching it, started descent as normal. Unfortunately it nosed over (waaaaay over) and entered a vertical dive peaking at roughly 20,000 feet per minute. I let it go for a moment to see what would happen and it just kept on going, with airspeed peaking a…

Hello,I just got my 737NG - install went OK and I got the navdata. I have flown the DF737 up till now. I have applied for the Final Reg'n but have not receieved it yet.I cannot seem to arm the autothrottle. When the switch is selected it returns to the off position immediately.I already have the AP enabled and the Flite Director online.Another question - am I correct that my GOFLIGHT controls will not work 100%? The radios look OK but the AP does not work. Thanks,Ron Sagel

Captains-As we continue with the beta cycle- you are going to start seeing some activity around our web site and around our forum that should excite you a bit!Everyone on the PMDG Team has been "head-down" on this airplane for quite a few months, so it is no secret that most of the images currently available from our site are out-dated!During the next few days we will begin replacing some of the 2-6 month old screen captures of the cockpit. We will be updating the site AND the forum with entirely new images that reflect more recent states of our airplane, cockpit and virtual cockpit! This will include images of the Virtual Cockpit, Virtual Cabin (which you have seen!) 2…

Hi all,Your 737 looks great so far, but I have a question : I have a MS FFB 2 joystick and some of the other airliner packages for FS are a bit wierd to fly with it... the forces are "strange" sometimes...I think it's because on these airliner packages the developpers didn't optimise the force feedback settings in the aircraft.cfg...So are you going to optimise them for your 737NG ?And do you know if in FS2004 the FF is going to be improved ?ThanksDeniz

In refrence to the pre-planning info post, it was stated that the HUD will be available in the BBJ/MIL versions. Delta uses the HUD in the -800 giving the the ability to fly single engine CATIII app's. Any thoughts of puttting it into the -800 model. See link for pic of HUD in use on a Delta 738.http://www.airliners.net/open.file/365130/L/

Hi PMDG,I'm not sure if this question has already been answered previously, but anyways...I just took a look at the renewed product page for the 737NG and maybe I'm blind, but I couldn't find any information of the 737NG package including a good sound package with original recordings of the real bird.PMDG, could you please give some information on that? As a sound freak I sure would not wanna miss those nice 737NG sounds in your product. (since up to today I have hardly found any good freeware sound package for the 737 in general that would come close to the real thing, except for the 737-100/-200 with JT8D engines)ThanksSeeya,Christian

http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/030617/sftu030_1.htmlThis is the link to the new information, along with a pic of the new design. I love it, its about time they did it. I love ATA's and think this will be a lot of fun to look at. Just wondering if PMDG will make two paints of the Southwest in winglets and without.ThanksAdam [email protected]

Took a look at some of the latest shots--it's coming along great!I might suggest making a subtle tweak to the shape of the nose...doesn't seem to slope quite right coming down from the cockpit windshield. This shot from airliners.net shows some good detail on the nose section...http://www.airliners.net/open.file/366069/M/A broader search reveals many potential candidates for repaints :)Good luck on the coming rollout!-John
