hi! Just wondered, will the FMC in the 737NG(PMDG) do prcedure turns? And will forexample you see a nice curved ARC on a turn in a SID(On the ND)? How about DME ARC's? Will they be filled with waypoints ore is it at "clean arc" that is shown on the ND?Greetings! :-)

Having lots of experience with 747/757/767/777 based avionics, just how far back in time is the gear on the 737's panel? Will the manual be aimed at folks who have no experience in a 737 or are you spitting out a "Robert" manual that we'll need another manual simply to translate? :-lolPictures are looking great, but you certainly have crossed over to the MS world with people nit picking silly stuff before the ink is even dry. :-wink2Ray

Captains-You will be happy to know that beta testing is progressing very well on BOEING 737: THE NEXT GENERATION 600/700 package! We released the initial beta to our team late last week and they have been putting it through a range of tests involving every aspect of the airplane. We have been assessing and tracking the reports they are making- and the advent of software designed specifically to help them log and report bugs/issues has made our work of tracking/assigning and closing bugs/issues much simpler than on past projects! We have spent the week tracking items reported and making some major product adjustments based on the feedback from the team- and we are in the proc…

I am curious if during Beta testing if you simulate flying/coupledapproaches using only Flight Director Guidance ie Autopilot DisengagedThe reason i ask is i love to fly especially ils approaches using onlythe Flight Director, but apart from the odd one, many of the add-on aircraft, their FD bars seem to be "jumpy" ie do not move smoothly andtheir " resonse times are far to quick compared to the actual aircraftmaking it harder to follow their guidance so resulting in over controlling of the aircraft. Also do you intend to release your aircraft with the option of having either "vee- bar" or "command bar"flight director optionsRegards Mick Denniss

Sorry if this has been asked before but i was wondering if you haveany plans to simulate turning during taxying as though you are usingthe nose wheel steering tiller,by this i mean having a greatly reduced"rudder effectiveness" whilst on the ground and then automatically sayat 30Kts,switching to normal rudder effectiveness for yaw controlduring actual flight.I seem to remember this being incorporated inAirline Simulator 2,Precision Simulator and at least one freewaredeveloper curently models this i would consider this a "nice to have"extra. 7. Captains-I thought you would be excited to know that BOEING 737: THE NEXT GENERATION has entered initial testing with our team of beta testers! The team is comprised of more than two dozen testers ranging from "old hat" PMDG beta testers to a host of 737NG captains, first officers, training pilots and maintenance technicians. The beta testing is going to be a time consuming process- and it is always the worst period for the development team because we are forced to step back and listen to both accolade in stark criticism from our team.It is also a time when we begin to feel that we are nearing the finish line- only to realize that we have LOTS of work left to accomplish bef…

Dear PMDG/Rob & Co:I sure hope you will release the NG series and incredible panel with FMC on a CD-ROM. I download at only 3K to 7K/sec on dialup and that's with an accelerated download manager! (And I have only AMEX too!)Will you be releasing this series on CD-ROM (and accepting AMEX)?JSP.S. I still have your amazing 747-400 manual from the good old days of FS98 and I am sure this NG release will be spectacular.

I just read this topic dealing with the night textures on the flight deck. ARE YOU REALLY SURE NOT TO CREATE NIGHT LIGHTING EFFECTS FOR THE PANEL?I think that would not be wise or why don't you want to do it - if you don't want to do it.Best regards, Patri.

Captains,Just last night I played the base sound files that will be included with the 737NG. In there present state, they are among the best sounds you've ever heard for a commercial airliner. Once you hear them, you'll be blown away as I was.

I have asked this question before due to the following excerpt that was in the above referenced FAQ which stated the following: "Q - Will there be a fully functional FMC?A - Yes! The FMC will be entirely functional and has been designed to be compatible with the industry standard NAVDATA information provided to the community by Richard Stefan. (Thank You, Richard for your support!)My question to the above answer is: 'Will the fully functional FMC include the ability to enter 'Winds Aloft' data at specific altitudes to better enable more accurate fuel perdictions etc. etc.'Regards again, jack noullet

I've been giving some thought about helping to start a "737 NG Flying Club" based upon PMDG's new 737 series aircraft and was wondering what some of you folks think about this? There are and will be many talented individuals purchasing this remarkable aircraft and comming together will help everyone with many issues regarding the operation of the 737. I can picture the Vatsim skys swarming with these new 737s.Maybe Mark H. can help with a nice logo for this purpose when he gets free time from development?Any other ideas-suggestions are welcome.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Thanks to some connections I had the chance to play around in a Thomson 737 Full Sim for 1.5 hours late yesterday evening (I returned home at 3 a.m., ouch). First time Boeing after 4 Airbus Full sim visits. Anyway, half of time manual flying, the other half trying some AP modes and approaches. An ofter heard comment from real pilots is they find FS jet flight models are too nervous in pitch sensitivity and stability. Since the real plane yokes/sticks have higher forces and longer travel, this is no surprise and was also quite noticeable for the 737 (compared to all jet flight models I have seen so far in FS). It is easier to bank the Full Sim plane and keep it level. A P…
