    I would like to perform a Crossbleed Startup of the engines...to be more precise:1) Starting first engine (No3) with APU or GND-Bleed air2) Startup the other two engines (No1 & 2) via a Crossbleed Start with bleed air of the already running engine (No3)I didnt find something about in the manuals nor did I find a crossbleed switch on the overhead pnl...so I would be happy if someone could just tell me...If a Crossbleed Startup is possible with the PMDG MD11...and if so...how (which switches/buttons) to use...?Thanks very much! :)

  2. I have been trying to save to the Add-ons menu at the top of the screen. This works fine for that flight but I am unable to get it to save more permanently. Aslo I am finding it difficult to get the Pause at Top of Descent to work. Does anybody know if there are any issues with this?

    Hi folks, on my initial long haul flight ZRH-NRT I got a CG out of range warning about half ways into the flight. The QRH sais it has to do with the fuel distribution and I tried to rectify it but to no avial in flight. However, after the flight I started to analyze the problem and found the reason why this happens, it's actually pretty simple and has nothing directly to do with the fuel. As I heard from Markus today that others have had this problem, I thought I'll let you know what I found out. The problem is with the balance limits at Zero Fuel Weight. If you check the load planner, you will notice that with the airplane full to the limit, you end up with a ZFWCG of 30…

    Hi,i have a strange fuel thing with my MD-11:after 20nM ive burned 3220 lbs fuel and after 56nM ive burned 308856 lbs and after 140nM 1989548965 lbs !!!!! So, its something with fuel but how can we fix it?Regards,Mathieu

  8. GreetingsI've noticed in several occasions (every time when I fly MD11) that only the inner flaps extend, what ever the selected flap position may be. Same is for the spoilers, only inner will extend and most of the time, only right side. Indications on SD are perfectly okay and things on cockpit are set correct.So it seems to be purely a visual bug. I tried to search from this forum a previous report from this bug, I can't be the only one with this problem?I certainly hope to hear from PMDG about this thing, altough I'm flying the aircraft from inside naturally but it's still an annoying thing.     On a recent 7000 mi 14.5 hr flt from JFK to Johannesburg AFR I looked up on the overhead panel in VC mode and saw there is a combination lock dial to the right of the fire handles. Does an Md 11 pilot have to enter a combination before you can start the airplane? LOL Just wondering if this is on the real MD 11 and what it would be for. John KSEA

    Hi!I recently purchased the PMDG MD-11 for FSX, and it semms like a fantastic plane. But I do have some major problems that is really enoying.The first thing happens at engine start. I engage the starters and set fuel on at N2 15% and looking at the instruments the engine starts fine. But then i go outside on spot-view, and nothing has happened! The engine is not moving and there is no engine sound. Going back in cockpit-view the instruments is indicating that the engine is running normally. If I then wait a minute or two, i hear the engine starting up inside and outside, and the engine is rotating. Like the sound is really delayed. But then the engine instrument (N1, N2,…

    There's something I just don't get... In such a highly automated aircraft, I don't understand why the commanded speed from the FMC (magenta circle) is allowed to penetrate the yellow high speed caution tape during departure. Surely in such an advanced aircraft the commanded speed should remain below the flap limit until the flaps are retracted. If you take no action (ie don't retract the flaps), the aircraft will accelerate into the yellow band, and then high-speed protection will take over???Regards,Martin Neep

    I would like fly with a realistic chance/possibility for aircraft-failures during routine (day to day) flights...Therefore: Does someone of you know a *realistic* value for entering at the PMDG->Failures Menu...? I know its pretty hard to determine...but what for values do you guys use while flying around (and not aiming/provoking for a special failure to occur on a flight)...so to speak a "normal" value for daily airline operations...?Thanks very much!

    Hi,just did some ILS-autolandings at Istanbul, Turkey (LTBA) with A/P in Appr/Land mode. Suddenly (I think below 1000ft AGL) the display at PFD switched to "Appr only"...and below DH the A/P disengaged and I had to perform flare etc. manually...I wonder because before this...I did some ILS autolands at Dalaman, Turkey) LTBS with the same MD11-configuration...and Dual-Autoland (so including flare phase etc.) was no problem at all...So my question is: Does someone know why at one scenario dual-autoland is possible and at others (like LTBA in my case) only "Appr only" is possible...?     Hi all,Is it just me or do others find that when starting a automatic-profile descent at the TOD, the plane ususally nose-dives somewhere around 4 or 5K/min for the first 10K feet or so? In my case, this is especially true when coming out of a cruise level in the upper 30's. I always have to add at least 2/3 flight-spoilers just to get back in the descent-path for what feels like, an abnormally long period of time. It usually catches backup to the proper descent-path when the descent continues on down through the upper 20's (near the point where FS historically switches from Mach to IAS).     When in FMS INIT, I set cruise level in CRZ and complete setting the routes etc, everything seems to be fine. However, after flying two flights, both times in climb I've noticed that CRZ has been automatically changed to a higher value first time to FL345 (set FL340) and second time FL355 (set FL330), why is this? First time I was baffled for a long time, why the climb doesn't switch to cruise phase at all, next time already in beginning of climb I checked FMS and corrected correct FL, and flew happily to end.Is this a bug or something I just haven't understood yet?Regards, Jalmari Raippalinna

It is brilliant!I do have a very minor issue though at the moment,I don't seem to find anything concrete here on the forum about the problem with the ATS disconnect command coupled with the A/T arm command of FSIM used in hardware.So far I was able to setup the A/P disconnect command on the Yoke and that works fine.The ATS however does not seem to work.Is it possible that there is a bug in the programming of this command?Another small issue that I have was when I was swapping in between VC view to spot and wingview, sometimes after r…

    Page 26 of the tutorial refers.I am about to press INSERT at 6L. Attachment One illustrates the screen at that point.I then select GIPOL by pressing 3R. We're then told that....."Back on the Flight Plan you may scroll down using the up-arrow to have a look at all the waypoints for the selected STAR and approach. RW14 has replaced LSZH as the active route fix." However, as can be seen on attachment Two, RW14 is not included in the Plan.The frustrating thing is that the first time I made this flight I encountered no problems and RW14 WAS included.Where am I going wrong please?Cliff

    It is only a petitesse but anyway...I like the feature to preselect the VOR freq.the easy way by just entering the 3-ltr code,but on a recent flight I selected NEW - Newcastle. But it said : NOT IN DATABASE. Then I entered the freq 114.25 , it was accepted and on the ND it showed NEW and direction and DME.
