    HiI am finding that since I installed the MD11 (FSX) patch, the page select buttons for the centre display are no longer illuminating when selected.Is anybody else finding this ?Not a major issue, just thought I should mention it.RegardsFergus

    Hello all,Today I was flying a normal route flown by FEDEX from PANC(Anchorage) to KEWR (Newark). About 900nm into my flight I received a low fuel temp warning that suggested I descend to a lower altitude. This makes sense since the outside air temp at FL320 was -60C and the fuel freezes at -40C; I started my descent and then lost the number 1 and 3 engines because of frozen fuel. I had to get down to 8000 AGL before the engines would restart. One last note; I was flying direct and was way north of Canada when this occured.My questions are:1. Do planes normally fly that far north in conditions of -60C? Or do they fly south of it and then head east. ( PANC to KEWR)2. Is th…

    Thank you for the MD-11, it is a great add-on.I was one of the guys who didn't care about the MD-11 and who was desapointed to see another long haul plane from PMDG, all I wanted was a 73NG updated to the 747 standard. I now find myself enjoying this plane. I guess the airplane type is not as important to me as the quality of the product.Having said that I really look forward to the updated NG, with the same details that make the MD-11 so awsome. Nice model, very accurate systems, widescreen 2D (I still fly 2D), lightning inside and outside, and great performance!     Hi all!After flying a couple of long haulers I have decided to put together my own checklist. It is loosely related to the kind of checklists that are used at Austrian Airlines. Of course, they never had MD-11s but if they would have had, I guess that is roughly what the check lists would have looked like. I am not saying they are any better than any others available, they are just the kind I am used to and more detailed than the default one.I thought I would share it with you.     Hello everyone,i'm actually using the amazing and fantastic PMDG MD-11 with PW model. I know that it's a really powerful plane with a very high weight ratio but takeoffs and climb outs rates at weights around 200/220 tons seemed a little bit excessive, for example takeoff weight 220 tons, power settin t/o flex 50 C, it tooks less than 1500 meters to get airborne and the initial climb rate was roughly 4000 fpm...isn't too excessive?or it's just the real plane? :(

    I must admit that I'm far from understanding the MD-11 in detail and need to do a reasonable amount of learning. But, on my 1st short test flight yesterday, more or less a traffic pattern, (the bird hand flies incredibly, visuals, sound and handling feel "devine") on approach when calling the approach page on the MCDU (is it called so in the MD-11 as well? See manual page FMS.40.37) and changing the approach flaps to 50, almost all of the values on the page started to blink (don't remember exactly which ones in detail) and after a while were replaced by dashes, so I guess I lost the reference speeds.     Hello, First off I have to Say that I am very happy with the MD-11 for FS9. An Awesome Product. Quickly learned that It is not a 747-400,the FMC is not the same, and thinking so without reading the manual or practice will make you into a nice Aerodynamic Rock!!! :( I did have a few questions though. The Frist Question is the Alternate Gear Extension. I had to use the mapped keys for the main, and the center gear. I know that they are down by the first officers seat, but I cant seem to get the view over there, and the VC mode just shows the Capt Side.     hi,this applies only to those using shockwave lights with the pmdg md11. i never had this problem before the update. but after the update i find that the taxi lights switch cannot be used anymore to operate shockwave lights on the pmdg md11. however, assigning a "2" for the light type in the aircraft.cfg now allows the shockwave taxi light to be operated using the taxi lights switch. it appears as though light type "2" has become "6" and vice versa.regards,

    Greetings,When starting from a cold and dark cockpit I notice that my external lights (NAV & strobe) are already on. This is true even when there is no power being supplied to the aircraft. I am curious about one thing, though: For some operations in the FCOM I am instructed to press and hold a button and then press another, presumably simultaneously.     hi,i was getting ready to order the complete MD-11 printed manual set but was surprised to see that it is now more expensive than a few weeks ago. i mean to remember that there was about a 20 Euro discount on the whole package compared to what the three manuals total? am i wrong?i am aware that you get a few checklists as a bonus when you buy the package so i guess it still is a better deal, but that is a steep price increase...please somebody tell me my memory is just fooling me and the complete set has been 149 Euros from the start. thank you!

    Hi!I'm really enjoying MD-11. The best add-on I've ever seen. Congratulations to all PMDG team.I don't know if this is happening just with my config but both taxi lights and landing lights are not bright enough to allow a safe taxi.In fact they do not illuminate quite anything, which is very disappointing if we consider the high quality of all systems of the aircraft.Any ideas?     Greatings all... I just bought the MD-11 and it installed perfectly. The only issue I am having is that I d/l the AA Livery off the PMDG site. After I installed and booted up FSX. Select the livery I get this error: "Visual Model could not be diplayed PMDG MD-11 American Airlines" FSX then crashes. Could someone enlighten me on how to fix this. Thanks!

    Hi all,I failed all three engines simultaneously @ FL370, and after about 30 seconds the controls locked up tight, even with the HYD and ELEC ADGs all ON. Also the APU won't start, it just flashes ON for a few seconds and returns to OFF. Any ideas? I've tried it at least five times.
