PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Posted a question on this previously but didn't get any reponses. Does anyone get the default baggage vehicles to work with the MD11? I've done quite a few flights and have yet to have the vehicles move after parking the aircraft, shutting down the engines, and opening the cargo doors. They do work with the default aircraft. I thought I saw a previous post from PMDG that the MD11 was designed to work with the default vehicles. Donald

Hi,whats the right way to change Approach-Procedures? Do i have to delete every waypoint of the old provcedure manually, or is it possible to replace the STAR/Transition and Approach like it is possible in the Boeing-FMC

Good Evening, I had to reformat my C: drive with my OS on it, and I am now placing all flight sim stuff on second drive. I have FSX installed, validated and SP1 AND 2 installed and rebooted, but when I go to reinstall my FSX version of the MD-11 it will not Validate. Hello. I have purchased this great MD-11, 2 days ago and already enjoy it as much as i can by flying several routes. Great plane and a great job creating it! But i noticed a strange problem: everytime i try to enter a plan from Greece p.e LGAV/LIMC or LGAV/LIRN and click 1RK to enter it in the FMC my FS9 freezes (not responding) and have to close the programm the "hard way"! Same thing happens when i try to enter an alternative Greek airport (tried entering LGEL or even LGTS) to the FMC (p.e after entering succesfully-this time- the route LIRF/LGAV)All other routes and flightplans from other countries of Europe created and saved succesfully till now. Hi MD11-friends,I'm trying the tuorial flight; but my MCDU shows a strange behaviour. I have entered the CO ROUTE "EGLLLSZH001"; as I try to enter more entries, the MCDU is getting dark after pushing about 1 to 4 entries. This happened before the update as well, as after updating the MD11 (at FSX with Windows XP). Has anyone an idea, how to fix that ?RegardsDietmar

I'm trying to establish a second landing attempt after an approach to RCTP runway 05. The go-around is no problem, the plane follows the pre-programmed route through the missed approach and to the holding fix.I thereafter attempted to add a new approach by lateral revision from the holding fix. Works ok, I can select the approach and STAR just fine.The problem is, the TO/APP page in the MDCU now is blank in all the landing weight and speed entries, and they can't be returned no matter what. As we have all said (well the vast majority of us :( ) the MD11 is a fantastic model. I'm even managing to get to grips with the FMS!However, I have two irritations with it, one larger than the other and it's all about texture loading. I use the 2D panel and when switching to a side view, the textures (which are the VC textures) sometimes take an age to load. At other times they are almost instant so it is not consistent. I don't get this problem with the 744. It also seems to affect ground textures. I flew in to FSDT's Zurich (LSZH) airport and had a good landing but in a colourless environment. Hi, just been reading the FS9 tutorial for the MD11 and I notice it says set 7.6 ANU in the trim.... couple of pages later it shows 3.6 ANU (config page). No wonder some find the climb rate phenomenal if they follow this and leave it at 7.6 ANU. (I see it shows 7.6 in the pic)Please note all the 'new' FS9 tutorial followers - you set the ANU to what it says on the Takeoff config page... this most likely will not be 7.6 ANU as it's stated but much nearer 3.6.Can't win em all lol. Hey guys,I swear, these things must come looking for me. There seems to be a problem with me (or the FO's FMC) when GPS is disabled via the options menu.Everything is fine until the AT engages to set TO power. I immediately get an amber CHK POS on both ND's, and the FO's map disappears. The FO's FMC reset's it's position to S00E00. I also get 2 scratchpad messages- CHECK POSITION and FMC POSITION MISMATCH.The pictures have the FMC1 on the left and FMC2 on the right. It might be me again, I hope it is :) but I noticed after seeing the ITVV Martinair video that my MD-11 will switch to the G/S, Land armed indication and climb up into the glide slope if approaching from below and capture when the glide becomes alive, has anyone else seen this?

Hi all, I am currently running the PMDG MD-11 for FS2004. Just out of curiosity, after I installed in the PMDG MD-11 package, I update it with the service pack 1, my FS2004 starts to gets errors like cannot find scenery/africa and just crashed. Are you guys able to develop the next patch to be able to update the PMDG MD-11 for FS2004 like the B744 queen of the skies for FS2004? Did not have any issues with that in regards to this. I was flying the FSX MD-11 at night and had some light issues. When I turn on the landing or taxi lights they light up the inside of the cockpit. I have no modifications to FSX and only the Eaglesoft Columbia 400, Level D 767 and the MD-11 addon planes. The first pic is with no lights on and the bottom is with only the taxi light on. The same thing happens with the landing lights.I also noticed the left wing light shows up on the wing even when the switch is off. I did searches on both issues but haven't seen this particular problem. I can also see some of the light inside the engine cowl.

Congrats to this very nice addon!!Ich have a small issue here: during autopilot engaged approaches, e.g. at EDDF,KATL,KORD (different RWYs tried), there is a little offset to the right side of the final appr track, like 0,5 to 1 degree.The offset is always on the right side.The FMS is properly set up (APPR + RWY selected).In a different post here in this forum, somebody posted some cockpit screenshots where I could see the same thing in the PDF, the LOC is a little to the left side.During CAT3 autoland this offsets lets the plane land completely (with the main-gear) land right of centerline.Does anybody have the same experience or any ideas?Many Thanks!TOM

Hello,I just bought the FS9 version of the MD11 today and completed the tutorial flight. I am very Happy with the addon in general but I have a what look like an AA problem with the font and displays in the VC (the 2D panel and the AA is otherwise OK) : When I zoom out (0.75 and bellow) the writting on the buttons and also on the display become very ugly. I have the patched MD11 version installed (I downloaded today) and an ATI HD3850-256 with the latest catalyst drivers installed. AA is disabled in the sim and trilinear filtering is set. I use AA4x and AF16x in the video card drivers. I run at my screen native resolution (1680x1050). the Airplane display setting at set …
