Good day all. First let me say that I am not asking for a release date nor am I asking for an update on the MD-11 for FS9. ;) What I am asking is the differences between the two. Ok, here goes...1) When I execute a G/A and follow the Missed Approach Procedure, the FMC cannot be re-programmed for a second landing. All of the fields on the APPR page are blank and so is the landing weight on the INT page? The FMC basically locks as if the aircraft hasn't yet taken off and I can't do anything..?2) When performing a Flap 35 landing, you can't see over the glareshield to fly a manual approach and landing? This is true even when landing fairly light. This obviously proves the realism of this program as the MD11 does fly the approach at a high nose-up attitude. Hi,I would like to fly Approaches with the MD11 to famous Kai Tak (VHHX)which is still included in FSX.When I want to enter VHHX at the Init page of the MD11-MCDU it cannot (of course!) been found in the database ("not in database").Do you know if there is a way to edit the appropriate files for the FMS to include/edit VHHX data by hand? If so which file (.txt?) do I have to enter...?Thanks very much! :)

Greetings!I hope you all don't mind me posting this here. I thought it was appropriate, as I was flying the MD-11, although I am sure the problem is not a/c specific.I was flying from KPDX-KATL, not using SID's or STAR's. No problems all along the route.Approaching KATL, I received clearance for an ILS approach (I don't remember which runway), and started being vectored and descended. Is there any way that i can program the initial angle of attak in the MD11?? I got near stall in every takeoff. and lots of "Pitch protection" warnings.I takeoff with Flaps 22, cost index 80, and Flex 45. Also, i activate the nav, perf and autopilot right after takeoff

After installing the MD11 in FSX, it broke the 747. I lost the winglets, half the panel and the screens were blank. I re-installed the 747 and still the screens were blank, but got the panel and winglets back. So I thought I would check the MD11 and now those screens are blank too!!What I did notice after the MD11 install, it removed the pmdgoptions.dll from the modules directory. When I re-installed the 747 it put it back again.So is there a clash of dll's between the 747 and the MD11?Now I'm off to do another install of the MD11.Buzz.

Hi all,On loading an MD-11 from the "Free Flight" page, or from saved flights, the main panel will be gone (this is 2D mode). There is a gray outline where the panel and compass would be. If I click on known click spots, the popups appear, but they are gray also. Going to the menu bar to restore the main panel has no effect. Attempting to select individual items will have them pop up, but they are gray. In 3D mode, none of the controls work, but the main panel and all subpanels are there. The sole exception is that the DUs & MCDUs are gray - not blank, as in a validation problem, but gray.A simple way to reproduce this (for me) is to load up an MD-11 (say a GE) then o…

Hi,I would like to place a distance from a WP at the ACT-F-PLN page according to page 27 (bottom) of the FMS manual, e.g. WP "Kumru" +20NM:Therefore I entered at the F-PLN page KUMRU/+20 and pressed LSK 4L at the MCDU. Hi,I would like to practice touch & goes...:Immediately after touching down in landing configuration (Flaps/slats etc.) - while idle power during flare - I give full thrust...There comes an aural warning (probably something because of landing configuration)...which I cannot clearly understand (as you of course noticed I am not native english speaking...lol):Could someone please tell me what the female voice exactly is saying/shouting after giving full thrust...?Thanks! :)

Folks,Anybody else having the issue that the wind direction and speed displayed in the FMS differs from what is displayed in the cockpit while in Map Mode ?My direction offset is up to 30 degrees between the FMS and Map Mode with the FMS displaying the more accurate data.Using wind smoothing in FSUIPC plus ASV 6.5ThanksJoerg
