hi, when i play FS, at some points, it will unexpectedly sound that windows generic 'ding' error noise, and then the only toolbar dissappears except for the PMDG and Modules tab. I am unable to exit flight simulator, as if i push quit, ctrl alt delete, or any other things like alt+f4, i just hear the error 'ding' and the game stays as it is. This is frustrating and i want to get to the bottom of it. Help! :(Alex

hii i just got my comp formated due to virus and had an extra hd installed in my motherbaoard......so had to in stall all the softwares again! well i installed the pmdg beech craft and 737ng and thought about learning the aircraft with utmost realism so had took an advanced flight tut by cap timmothy [i think] frm kstl to kclt....but am having problems wid the sid star stuff ....i have downloaded the latest sid stars and the latest airac0412...but when i load the fmc i get an error at transition line 158 and god knows what...i have tried reinstalling the stuff but still, well the airac0412 path leads in pmdg/fmcwp and i have placed the sid stars in pmdg sid stars folder..…

I don't fly much at night but last night I flew the 737-700 at night and noticed that the logo light stayed on weather the logo light switch was on or off. (I had the logo light switch off but the logo light was still on) Why is that?Joseph Feleppa

HiWithout wantingly irritating the authors of this magnificient bird, I however would like to express my dislike for the brilliant yellow VC panel. I am using 32 bit resIs there a way of getting the VC night lighting down a bit? I really like the overhead VC panel of gray with green and blue. That style I really can tolerate on long trips.But the rainbow brown, yellow green and brilliant at that I find, well, not too nice.Any way out of this? I cannot find any references to vclight (#4 i think) in the LIGHTS section of the aircraft.cfgAnd, last but not least, I do not always fly into Baltimore, and to get real, could this perpetual ILS RWY 15R chart be erased???Allen

I realize this may be one of the most asinine questions ever posted in this forum, given the inherent nature of the product, but, here goes...I oftentimes don't have a lot a time (particularly as a newbie) to go from a 'cold/dark cockpit' to actual takeoff.Is it at all possible to set-up the the A/C so that I'm ready for a T/O when I start up FS9?I suppose the best solution is to go thru the basic cockpit setup procedures and save that scenario within FS9.Just curious if and how anyone else may approach the same situation.Thanks much,Woody

Hello,Today I had a problem with the all the PMDG 737 models. The flaps would not extend, it would click and move, but quickly go back to 0. This was only on these aircraft, all others worked fine. I did not download any new things for a few days now. Any ideas?Thanks,Ryan

I have also read on your site that you are moddeling an MD-11 as well. So now let me drop a bit of a bomb on you as you guys seem to deliver! I hope this isn't a repeat question, but I was wondering what line I need to edit in the aircraft cfg. file in order to get ATC to recognize the type of plane I'm flying, (i.e. Beech 1900). Also when I push Shift + E + 2 to open the cargo door, the throttle quadrant opens instead. Is there a way to change this??Thanks for any advice!!!

I started a thread yesterday about a general complaint concerning the quality (or lack thereof) of many addon aircraft http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.phpaz=show...&topic_id=15951 I noted one exception. I just wanted to say here that the one exception is PMDG. I have yet to acquire an addon with the level of quality of the 737 series, or the level of honest support of PMDG. In fact, I now measure any addon aircraft against the PMDG standard. My frustration is that they all so far have come up short. Keep up the good work; you've set the platinum standard for flight sim in my book. Mike Monce

During the plannig of a flight plan when I put the GW, ZFW (or accept the default data by the FMS) in PERF INIT page ..etc...the TRIP ALT doesn't appear. Why?

Hello,I will apologize now if this has been answered, but, I'm posting because an afternoon of searching, both here, and Google, has not given me the information I'm looking for.I own the PMDG B1900D, and have spent the last couple of weeks flying it. What I'm running into is this. When I level off at either FL200 or FL250, the aircraft will not approach it's listed cruise IAS. At FL200, the best speed I can get is 227 KIAS, and this also with the OVERSPEED message on (and, yes, the max needle is below my IAS needle). At FL250, I can barely eek out 206 KIAS (again, with OVERSPEED showing).I do not understand why I'm seeing performance so far below the stated specs. F…

I was looking at some posts in the MSFS forum and noticed a couple of people having a similar problem as me. Lately it seems the NG is using alot of memory. I have had all the NG series since they were released and I dont remember this problem. I fly them quite often and it seems one day it just happened. I can fly pretty well on my desktop P4 3.0 radeon 9800 pro with 1.5gb of memory. My laptop P4 3.2 with 512mb it brings to its knees and I dont always think this was the case. It was definitely not as good as my desktop but I compinsated with sliders, but lately it seems to be to a point where I cant fly it (and I love flying at work) on the laptop and that just s ucks. Well it turns out that my original PS1 747 Printed manual from PMDG is going to have a second reading although its been used extensively and I,m not totally sure how much is going to be relevent to the FS 747 but I,m sure a fair chunk is going to be With the new model from PMDG it sure going to save some printing ink hope everyone who brought it when it first came out looked after it.Wayne [email protected]

Hi my name is Julio and I need some help!! I was putting a flight from kmco to klax, I was using the jag3 dep, well when I load the sid it show a disco on the AMG transition showing me it was put there double so I went ahead and deleted the extra AMG waypoint then while flying on VATSIM atc instructed me to fly dir. to MGM when I got to the leg page and klick on MGM instead of comming up with the ABEAM section it said it was "invalid entry" can some one tell me what I might have done wrong???ThankJulio

Hello PMDG,After installing all the new updates I have the textures missing on the 737-600 engine covers when viewed in 2D wing view.VCCABIN wing view and the outside views are showing the textures OK.Don't have this problem on the other models.I noticed that in the 600 texture folder there's only one engine texture (engine_r_t.bmp) in the other models though I find two textures (pmdg_engine_L_t.bmp and pmdg_engine_r_t.bmp).Any suggestions?Regards,Haromo

I wonder if someone could help :Where in FS9 is it possible to reduce the throttle idle setting with the throttles set at minimum. At idle the engines still develop a fair thrust.Is it possible to display individual gauges on another screen on another PC. If so how?Many thanks in advance.RegardsChris Norman
