I am having trouble with the FMC on the 737-800. I turn on the Autothrottle and the Autopilot on CMD A, and I turn on VNAV, and the aircraft pitches up. The problem is the Aircraft has pitched up at 5000 fpm. Is there a fix for that. The Cost thing is set on a low number like 0 or 1.

I swear it looks like Condoleezza Rice is Captain with Tom Ridge as 1st Officer! Im sitting there watching replays of me greasing my first perfect manual approaches(actually three as I did "touch and go"s at KOAK). I zoom in and see "Condie" left seat with a smile as big as mine...Hilarious!I also want to take the time to thank PMDG for making such a great product. Tonight marked my offical acceptance and realization that I can do this job. It makes the future look that much brighter as I continue my flight training in real life.

OK, it's not rocket science, but it's been bugging me and I've heard / read conflicting views, so here goes.You're at 10000, clearance given to 17000.Select 17000 in the MCP, and do you:1/ Click FLTCHG2/ Click VNAV3/ Click ALT HOLD and manually adjust the VS?Thoughts on what is correct (and why!) would be appreciated.ThanksTim

Is there a way to silence the TO Config warning after landing? It can be annoying while taxiing to the gate...am I doing something wrong?steve g

I can't for the life of me get the APU to start. I'm going my the checklist:Batt -ONAir Conditioninng - OFF (BTW on 800/900 we flip the switches to the extreme left to turn the air con off right?Electric Hyd Pumps OFFand then:I flick the APU start switch, the APU gen switch, APU bleeds on and the Isolation valves....nothing happens..Can someone take me through this procedure?Thanks indeed.-Pranav

Hi -took a while before I found out it's actually called the "lower rudder", but that's a whole different story ;-)I was wondering what the added functionality of such a lower rudder is. Is it always moving or is it kicking in at certain speeds e.g.Does it operate independently from the main rudder.Anyhow, with the 747 coming up, perhaps there's a 747 jocky (real or sim) who can shed some light on this.I found plenty sites which talk about the lower rudder and almost all of them were sites about aircraft crashes, so I guess the lower rudder is somewhat important......thanks & have a great 2005!HenkNetherlands

Hey Guy's! I am looking for some Info on Merging the PMDG 737 Panel with Kittyhawk's 737 Model? I love both PMDG and Kittyhawk's 737NG's! But is there anything special i need to copy over to Kittyhawk's 737 CFG File from PMDG's CFG File? Like Electricl etc.....? Or is it ok to just Alias the Panel in the Kittyhawk's panel Folder? I would greatly apprecite the Info on this? And thak's for the AWESOME Panel and Plane PMDG Guy's! MIKE

I have had the 737-700 for about 6 months now and have been thrilled. My Dad got me the -800 for christmas. Well, I have flown it a few times and it is even better than the 700.Here is my issue, I installed the 800 and flew it offline. It did great. So I decided to take her up for a flight online with VATSIM. I loaded up the aircraft, got everything set, FMC and a like. Minimized FS and started my modem (I am on dial up). While it was dialing, I went back into FS and discovered that I had no sound. Just the recirculating fans, no engine noise, no toggle clicks, no seat belt ding, nothing. I closed down FS and restarted her, no sound. I reloaded the computer, wen…

HiIs there any "SAFE" way to stop the sound of the trim. ( sounds like clanking of scissors ) I believe it probably is quite authentic but gives me a headache when I use a headset.ThanksGraham

after i have made my new computer, i formated my hd and reinstaled everithing.my new cpu is P4 3.0E with D865PERL.Whem i open the overhead and click any button, the soun of the turbine go away and return very quicly, just the time i click any buton.i am using the original soundmax that come in the motherboard.regards,sandro becker

I am a HUGE fan of my PMDG B1900D and my PMDG 737-6/7/8/900NG. I find the PMDG quality unsurpassed at this time. With that said I am anxiously awaiting the release of the next PMDG products, and find the two upcoming 'heavies', the 747-400 and MD-11 to be exciting products to say the least. My question to PMDG is will they be offered in the 'extended range' versions of both airframes? The MD-11ER had a 13,230km range, and the 747-400ER has a stellar 14,205km range. Both of these in my FS2004 stable would alow for some seriously sleep depriving 14+ hour marathon global hops. I hope PMDG can offer the extended range versions of both of the global aircaft to really cha…

With the Autopilot handling speed, heading and altitude there is no problem flying "hands off".However on several occasions I've noticed that the altitude facility disengages and I have to reset it again.Is this a bug or is it normal or am I perhaps doing something that could trigger the disconnection?Cliff

Hi floksI had to reinsatll everything on my PC, and am now down to my PMDG aircrafts.Oddly enough, i have the B1900 v1 and the update when it came out to 1.1 I have installed the main package v1 but each time i go to update it to 1.1 i get an error message that says i need v1 first!I deleted v1 and reinstalled it but still the patch doesnt work!Could it be that i have FS9.1 and there is a conflict there?I have emailed the PMDG chaps for help but as yet no answer.Any ideas?PS-the 737-600/700/800/900 and upgrades went really well - no dramas at all!regardsDoug

Hello All -Pretty quick question. Are any of the 800/900 series used for "long hauls" (i.e. KLAX-PHNL)? If so, what air carriers are currently using this fleet for trans-pacific routes? Hello and Merry Christmas to all. When arriving into Toronto Pearson Airport, the arrival page did not list all of the runways. 24L, 24R, 06R, 33L, 15L, 15R were all missing. Is this a navdata problem or is it a sid/star database problem? If I knew where to start I would love to fix this problem.Thanks in advance.Alecs Bains

Everytime I fly PMDG with Active Sky 2004, the aircraft becomes unflyable during landing. At 400-500 ft. AGL the aircraft suddenly banks right, pitch down and crashes. Is it possible?!!Is there anybody who uses PMDG with AS2004 with no problmes?Is there any patch or something to fix this?
