I've installed several add-on liveries from the PMDG downloads section for the NG 600 thur 900 series but it seems there are different versions, compatible with 1.0 and 1.2, etc. inside the aircraft cfg files now.What do I need to do to fix this so as to ensure compatibility with the cockpits et al?Appreciate pointer, thanks!Jonathan

When descending from cruise(from T/D or when instructed by ATC) to the approach/terminal area what is the usual rate of descent?Is 2500ft/min or even 3000ft/min too much?Is it better to think of this in terms of ft/nm, if so what should it be?

How can i land the 737ng? with the A340 pro there is no problem at all.I flyed some tutorials but it stil won't land example: i fly from eddf to eham, departure goes well.But the arrival gives many useless points at eham so the plane makes much circles above eham(looks like a circus act) and the landing goes totaly wrong.I have tryed to delete some of the points and then it looked better but still no landing.When i am at RIVER 3000ft almost there, the plane goes back instead of going the runway?, i either can't select APP.In the manual states: before intercepting the glideslope switch the autopilot to LOC and the to APP, Where is the LOC?? i only see VORLOC on the panel,…

I have flown twice from hamburg to frankfurt both times when i am approx 120km from destination airport my screen goes blank (black) cannot reenter flight. Has anyone experienced this type of problem.Ialways start from cold & dark..............Regards robin

Ok I made a CD that had all my PMGD stuff on it. The B1900D, 737-6-900 all the skins, the updates everything, then I made a back up of that cd.I had to reformat and when I went to install my PMGD software, I could not find my CD's. Yes CD'S. I lost both of them. so after taring my house appart, and pulling out all my hair out form fustration I decided to go to the website. I loggedin hoping that my email would register that I had bought software form them in the past, but when I went to View Previous Orders, I was Dissapointed to see that my past software orders where not there.So, What should I do? The navigation radios in the classic 737s have an AUTO/MANUAL function which allows nav beacons to be tuned automatically by the FMC, or manually by the pilot(via the AUTO-MAN switch). While, presumably, this function is also available in the NGs, there is no such switch on the VHF NAV panel. How, then, to distinguish between the two functions in the NG?BR,Frank

Hi,I experienced a very strange problem with my 737 NG 800/900 package. When using the flight director all modes are working fine. But as soon as I turn on the autopilot the aircraft starts rapidly rolling to the left and pitching down in a steep descent. No manual control input could override this, I had to turn off the autopilot to 'save my life' :-)Exactly the same occurs when engaging CWS. It also doesn't matter if I turn on autopilot A or B. This problem occured out of nothing, I didn't make any changes to the installation. It also occured on several locations, using different aircraft and different flight director-modes. Hello...Hmmm, I was just wondering...erm, I guess this question had beendiscussed already, but why is Condoleeza Rice sitting as the captainon the PMDG 737-600 livery?Because it is her, no doubt...I'm even amazed myself that I only notice that now, since I bought the737NGs quite long time ago.Again, this is the default PMDG repaint, not a third party repaint.

I wonder if the talented painters at PMDG or anyone else out there can help me.I've attached a screenie showing what's wrong with my paint I'm using PSP to edit the .psd and convert to .tga then using DXTBMP to convert to extended bitmap 32bit 888-8 format and I'm unchecking the include mipmaps when saving option.Also if you can let me know how to change the level of reflectivness on Paint Shop pro I'd appreciate that, I know its got something to do with Alpha layers in the .tga file but not too sure what to do.Any help is appreciated.

I have been noticing for a while now while performing ILS approaches that the flight director is not necessarily accurate. For instance, I frequently get a fly up command when I am below the glide slope-obviously this is wrong. I have noticed this during most of my ILS approaches. I occasionally select APP mode if I am busy or the viz is especially bad. Then the flight director seems to work better after I disconnect the A/P and manually fly the last five miles. Most times though, I hand fly the entire ILS after GS capture and thats when I notice the flight director bars (not the cross hair type-the V bar) don't do a good job of helping me on the glide slope. Just installed 737NG on my FS2002 and have found that on the ND its indicating that I am flying sideways. For instans, I am taking off from Halim Airport in Jakarta (WIIH) for a flight towards Changi International in Singapore (WSSS). In general, the heading should be 005 degrees magnetic. If I set my heading to 005 degrees, I seem to be drifting towards Kraktau (due west). To be able to head towards Singapore I must set my heading to something like 090 degress. The same thing goes for flights from Bangkok, Dehli, Manila. It seems to affect the Asian area of FS. I do not have the same problems with other aircrafts in FS2002. Any suggestions, please!

Is there anyway that a Ground Spoiler inhibit can be placed into the model? The ground spoilers are not supposed to deploy in the air.Corey

I've been normally using manually braking since SWA doesn't allow autobrake, except perhaps RTO. However, when flying a different carrier and wanting to use the autobrake, how do I know it's working? It seems like it really isn't slowing down very fast despite full REV and spoiler deployment. What I usually do is set it at number 2, and upon landing the AUTOBRAKE DISARM light comes on. Shouldn't the light stay off during autobraking?Now the spoiler. I've decided I like to deploy the spoiler myself, and this works fine. What I'm not clear on is what makes it go back down. Tonight, I landed and exited the runway before I realized I didn't lower the spoiler, however, …

i recently have had to uninstall fs9 and did a reinstall. a problem i have found is that the sid/star function in the fmc is not working. tried to load ksea and several other airports, not in database. the rest of the airplane is working fine, do i have to reinstall the 737? i have downloaded latest sid/star data for the pmdg 737 with same result.

As my original post seems to have been yanked down I submit this follow up.I origianlly posted that i had the PMDG 737- 600/700 and it failed to load correctly, thus leaving me without the use of the Load Manager.Despite 5 emails to PMDG Support (with NO answers) I resorted to this Forum.My Original post seemed to have upset many. I do not think NOW!!! is out of place, as I had a partially working A/C.In any event, Robert Randazzo personally contacted me, and had me download the A/C again. I installed it, and it runs perfectly. I set up the FMC for a quick flight from Phoenix to Vegas, and all was running as expected.The problem was and IS that the PMDG installation routi…

Went to do a flight today and the 737 would hang up FS after the FLY NOW button was pressed. FS would never get beyond the inital "load" progress bar showing up. After some experimentation I determined it was the 737 as everything would go fine with other planes. So now I did a reinstall of the 737 and eveything is fine *except* that when I go to set the payload I used to have a section for 1st class, coach, and also the two cargo bays. Now I just have "Station 1". What happened to the others? Also, the FMC seems not to keep track of elapsed time on the PROG page. Any ideas?? I bought the 737NG this past fall so I assume I have v1.3. Another question: is it po…

Hi,I have been flying the PMDG 737NG for some time now and recently I have been getting the "Insufficient Fuel" warning about 10 minutes into my flights. It then remedies itself as the flight goes on.As an example, today I was flying YSSY-YPPH in the 738 winglets model. I was using the KAT1 SID off Runway 34L at YSSY joining H44 at KAT.I had my payload worked out and loaded 29,960lbs of fuel. I expected to land at YPPH with about 2,800lbs. I set my reserve figure in the FMC to reflect that. During the climbout the FMC showed Fuel at YPPH would be 7.4! I rechecked my calculations and the 7.4 didn't make a lot of sense but I went with it anyway. At least if I made an error …

I am in a holding pattern. ATC clears me for 34ILS. On the "Hold" page of the FMC I am supposed to "Arm" the "EXIT HOLD". How do I do that? I have searched this Forum without result and spent hours flying around Wellington on hold, even missed my dinner trying how to exit Hold. Any help would be appreciated. After I installed the 800/900 package, everytime I start FS9 I get a message that says there is "incompatible software." The file name it mentions is dlB737FPL.dll. I am able to click "yes" to run the software, and everything seems to work fine.I am just wondering if this is a known issue, or maybe someone knows how to fix the problem? My search of the forum came up empty.By the way, PMDG, excellent work.Brad Brooks

how can i get the tcas to work on the 737ng i only fly online and without this small but much needed feature this package is useless to me and might end up back at the store where i bought it all my pss products and my dreamfleet 737-400 have this working,if this can't be made to work this would spoil for me an excellent aircraft btw i'm using fs2002 win xp pro sp2, also it will not enter mach number in the fms it comes up wrong format or something like that any help in these matters much appreciated steve speak bav pilot
