  1. It seems i always have a trip flight level usually fl 440 and then i manually put in example fl 330 but under the TRIP the pre defined f level still shows an odd flight level like 440. Can anyone explain this i did read the manual and looked at tutorials but believe it or not there is nothing under trip its an empty field everywhere i look. But yet in my aircraft it a appears with a weird high altitude that i wont be flying??Anyone?

    I tried to make an italian route (LIMF-LIRF) using the FMS.I putted a speed and FL constraint (TAQ 220/6000, GOLPO 180/4000 and MIKSO 170/2500) just as per ILS approch 16L chart instruction but just after the waypoint GOLPO the message "steep des path..." (or something like that) appear.Somebody can explain me why? I followed the whole ILS16L approch chart instruction.Thanks in advance.Donato Genovese

    After landing at an airport after completing a route. How do you reset the FMC to begin planning another route. Example I Flew from KPHX to RJAA to WITT I had to stop in RJAA to get Fuel that's all I needed to do but I didn't know how to reset the FMC. There has to be a way to do this without selecting an new Aircraft. Someone Please help this is fustrating.

    In the full-motion 737NG simulator it's very easy to trim the aircraft for level flight (or a certain constant vertical speed). When flying the PMDG 737NG I find it almost impossible.Is the because of a limitation of MSFS? When you disconnect the PMDG autopilot you see that the autopilot has managed to trim the aircraft accurately. I have experimented by editing the aircraft.cfg file for the -600 and changing elevator trim effectiveness from 0.8 to 0.3. Doesn't seem to completely solve the problem.Any suggestions?

    I made a late (read: "delayed") connection through ORD on the 30th/31st and, while waiting in the queue for departure noticed that none of the dozens of planes that were taxiing had their tails illuminated!? No one at the gates had the logo illuminated either. I only saw one aircraft with the tail lit up, and it was an Asiana Cargo 747. It was night VMC with a light rain from a 5000'+ overcast, and maybe what would qualify as a mist but visibility was still >10SM. Can anyone fill me in on why none of the domestic carriers were using the logo lights? Perhaps everyone was ashamed of their on-time performance that night (I was delayed 5 hours)?Steve Perry

    I needed to change the drive for my fs9 from C to E due to lack of space. first i uninstalled all the pss packages and then the fs9. i reinstalled fs9 on e drive and then installed the fs9.1 patch. after that installed the PMDG 737NG on the new drive.i then did a reinstall of PSS A340 and PSS Airbus pro packages. i did not install the FSUIPC from the PSS site as it is an older version. PMDG installed a FSUIPC ver3.40 on my modules folder. i also changed my screen resolition from 1024*768 to 1280*1024*16mhzcolour. ever since i am having tons of probloms for the pss and have been virtually unable to fly the planes.A340 : during the flight programed to cruze at FL370 the air…

    I was flying CRZ ALT. But,soon they occurred error:CHECK/RESET MCP ALT. So,I checked MCP(Glareshield but it's correct. Of course,I set Flight Altitude on Cabin Press Panel but I didn't set Landing Altitude. What is this error? Is this a cause?Thanks.

    I purchased the 737NG software last weekend and I am having problems with the Introductory Flight (Manual Pages 34 onwards). To the best of my knowledge I have followed the text to the letter but on reaching Page 38 and being instructed to enable the Autopilot A things dont work. I have assumed (Autopilot A is the upper LHS A) and then to operate LNAV/VNAV, LNAV works but VNAV does not and an error message appears in the FMC window (VNAV NOT CONNECTED) or similar. I carried on and noticed values shown in the LEGS page(manual page40) have values in the LHS Links not mentioned in the text.     Argh! I got so caught up in my troubles with FS2Crew for the 600/700 series that when I uninstalled I forgot to restore my orginal panel.cfg files. I don't have the original installer for it, and was wondering if anyone could be so kind to send me the default panel.cfg files? I could go through the PMDG website and post a lost program claim, but I thought I could try here before I do that, since it is just the panel.cfg files. My email is [email protected]. :-)BTW, anyone else having trouble with FS2Crew on the 600/700 version?     Issue & question. After reviewing numerous posts and replys re: tcas, I did not see my particular problem. When flying with tcas on, I recieve aural alters and see the offending a/c on the EFIS nav display. However, when I go to spot view and pan, there are no a/c visible (esp visible @ night). Conversley, when fs9 atc alerts for nearby traffic, there are no indications from the tcas, and in spot view, I can see the traffic and identify the offending a/c if close enough. Is the issue fsuipc generating false traffic and not recognizing fs9 traffic, and visa-versa, or something else?ThanksJim

    So off you trot to pour out your cup of tea ........ seems as though the copilot fell asleep too!This sort of thing only started since changing to Activesky. Seem to often be plagued with monster wind shifts - the sort that either drops your speed to that of a glider ...... or an F15. Only option left to disable winds aloft so it would seem.     I have just flown the superb PMDG 737-900 in 20 mile visibility in cloudy weather from EGCC to EHAM using the FMC and autopliot engaged. As I approached EHAM at 10 miles to go to Runway 01R, I disengaged the autoplitot and Flight Director for a manual landing. However after disenaging the autopilot I was unabke to slow the aircraft down at all, either manually with the throttle levers or by slowing the speed on the MCP (which I had disconnected)Can anybody kindly tell me what I have done wrong, as I really wanted to land manually, but I just couldnt slow thw a/c down at all, it just refused to go below 250 knots.Best Wishes,Chris

    Hello all:I have put the new patch of FS9 and of course they have given a warning that that would have an effect on cetain add-ons. I have taken care of almost all the problems but I do not know if you have had any difficulties with PMDG in FS9 since you have put the patch.In my case I have noticed difficulties to climb yesterday I was making a flight KBOS-KLGA and indeed had some troubles. Maybe I did something wrong and it is perfectly normal but I would like to know if anybody has had problems with the patchThanksPedro

    Hi,I'm having a problem with liveries, etc.Since reloadind FS9 I also loaded the 9.1 patch. I have also loaded the lastest version of FSIUPC. have downloaded liveries for Britannia and SAS 737/800, but on running these I get a message "cannot open config file". Other liveries for /600 and 700 went in fine (I have v1.1) so I tried to update the 800/900.Downloaded it but it failed to install. second attempt told me it was not required as I had latest version, yet checking in aircraft config file, this is v1.0.Another problem is that the 600 does not always load it's panel when tried directly, but loads fine if I load the 700 first. Any ideas please?Alani

    Mmmm... it's the third time that I try to approach (737 600 with 47784 Kg Zero Full Weight and 10500 Kg Fuel) LIML airport using a proper STAR without success. It's supposed that the the FMS is able to compute a feasable descend path before starting it and to follow it afterwards, and is what I do before arriving to the T/D point. Ok, as soon as the "drag required" message appears I turn on the spoilers, but it is not enough... few seconds later... "dling dlong"...     I love to fly manual landings, but it is extremely hard to land on the centre of the runway. Are there any manuals out there (besides manual flying in PMDG docs) which helps with tips for manual landings?For instance, i will always fly in, be perfectly lined up, and then when i go down to flare, i am way off, right on the edge of the runway (this is with no winds whatsoever).If anyone could give me any pointers it would be much appreaciated. (BTW I dont like to let the aircraft fly the landing and final approach)__Alex

    Hey all happy new year!I just tried something I hadnt done before and was suprised at the result. Im flying an IFR flight plan as usual at CRZ alt in VNAV and LNAV, about 300 miles from TD. Since I needed to leave for an hour I decided to add a HOLD to the flightplan 250 miles ahead, many waypoints down, and before TD.Once I executed the HOLD the speed immediately dropped to the value shown on the HOLD page (265). I looked at the legs page and all the speeds of the preceding waypoints to the HOLD point were also at 265. Basically, the hold speed kicks in before the correct waypoint.A quick mod of the HOLD page speed fixed the issue, but is this real life behaviour or a…
