Hi fellow PMDG captains,I know there have been numerous postings about this and I've spent some time searching the forum before posting this without really finding the exact answer I'm looking for...namely - what (if any) criterias are there for arming VNAV after t/o?Reason I ask is I'm using FS2Crew and when asking the FO to start retracting the flaps after t/o that should also make him arm VNAV but it hasn't on my last flights and I can't quite figure out what's wrong...or rather where I go wrong...;-)Any help would be much appreciated! All the best,

Hey all,In the process of replying to another user about a SID I discovered that the NG doesn't seem to take into account magnetic variation in the UK. I came to this through the following:I had noticed, almost since I first bought the NG's, that the localizer course at EGPF was out by two degrees (shown as 054 instead of 052 as it should be but never thought much of it, I knew the correct course anyway so wasn't looking for the specific info from the CDU.Today I was writing a SID for LGW a bit different from the way it is in the Navdata updates and found that the DVR VOR didn't seem to be lining up properly. The DVR 2P SID calls for:Straight ahead via GE maintain track 0…

Hello again to the PMDG community....Last week I posted a comment/question about the PMDG 737NG command bar possibly displaying "questionable" commands. I was referring to the V bar exclusively. In my post I had stated that I frequently got climb UP commands when ABOVE the GS and vice versa. A bunch of guys responded with some good feedback. Well, I think I found an explanation. I have tested my theory for the past week and I think its accurate. When flying on AP, with LOC capture selected, if you capture the LOC but then turn the AP OFF to hand fly an ILS, the command bars will only provide LOC guidance, and NOT the GS. If you had selected APP following LOC capture, and …

If i remember correctly I've seen them in past flight sims. p.s It was a night flight so i find this really odd i would really like to know since i've tried different airports and various RWYS as well. Thanks!

Hi,I have a bit of a problem. For some reason I can't start my APU (or engines). The plane behaves although its batteries are dead..although FSUIPC is on limitless battery.I get the amber TR light constantly illuminated and whenever I try to start up APU I get the APU FAULT light on, in addition the ammeter indicates 0 for BAT.I have the current FSUIPC....I did try to recycle the GEN switches....I'm out of ideas....Anyone with any suggestions?Thanx!!//Michael

Strange AP behavior after repay of takeoff. When I return to the cockpit the AT is off AP is off as well VNAV. When I try to re-engage VNAV it will not engage. I get one of two messages on the FMC. CHECK MPC ALTITUDE or UNACHIEVABLE ALT. For the rest of the flight VNAV is unusable. Has anyone experianced this? One more thing, I've turned of AA and AF,(in flight} in cockpit fps are 18-23 VC, a little lower, yet in spot I can't get above 10fps usually 5-7fps, With or without clds, while most payware, and I have many, get 18-26fps in spot.Dave FisherCYYZP4 2.8 GB 478P 533 MHZ CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard768 DDRGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HD x2http://www.precisionm…

Hello all :)This isnt a serious problem but something funny just started happening to my PMDG 737NG.I need to constantly reload the flight because I am creating wingviews. But when I reload the flight (CTRL + ;) FS9 *does not* reload the PMDG 737 - instead it loads the *last plane I just flew*So for example: say I flew the Cessna Caravan. After completing a flight in that I load the PMDG 737. If I then press CTRL + ; to reload the flight FS9 will load the Cessna Caravan. Why would it do this? Can anyone help? FS9 does not do this with any other plane. Only the PMDG 737.Thanks!!!!

I have auto save but that doesn't save anything besides your location nothing else related to the pmdg aircraft.

I still really enjoy the B1900 that you did. Is there a chance you might do another express product. I really think there's a market for it. Sometimes it's nice that a flight doesn't require 30 minutes of preparation time. Anyway, what I would really like is a great Fokker 50 the way you did the B1900. Is there a chance?

Hi,I noticed something strange during a rejected take-off. Just like in real life the autothrottle system changes to 'hold' mode at about 80 knots. The reason for this is that in case of a RTO the throttles can be easely retarded without the autothrottle system trying to maintain TO-thrust.BUT, when I make a RTO in the PMDG 737 (beyond 80 kts, so within the 'hold' mode)) the throttles are moving rapidly up to TO-thrust as soon as I release the F1 key. Please note that I'm not using a joystick.Does anyone know if this is a limitation or known problem of the aircraft or if I'm doing something wrong? Thanks in advance,Niels

It is with great hesitation that I post this, but after several searches I just can't think of anything else to do.I have the PMDG 737-600/700 1.3 and also the 800/900 1.1 and the 600/700 model update all installed.Everything works as it should, all the VC switches in all the aircraft work except for the wipers.I'll avoid the obvious things. I can use any version of any model and I do not see moving wipers in any view. That includes the 800/900 and yes, it includes the VC view and Spot view. Nothing is happening at all when the switches are on. I just assumed they didn't work, but checking the forum here its pretty clear they are supposed to in the VC view and spot view, …

Hey Guys,Would it be possible that someone who can paint (so thats not me:P) Could paint the new KLM scheme on B737-900 as currently the new scheme is only available for the -800. And if possible also with the new Skyteam logo between the cockpit window and door #1. Although I'm not sure if that paint job is already done on a new scheme -900http://www.airliners.net/open.file/746527/L/Thanks in advance,Norm

I understand that you are busy adding new aircraft to your collection, and what a collection it is!!!!!!! I love your 737 series, and cant wait for the 747. I was wanting to know if you were going to add the 737-800 in the Continental Airlines Livery w/ winglets. Continental is currently adding the winglets to all the 738 series.Thank you,Jonathan

if you're not doing an autoland, and just doing a CAT I approach to minimums and hand flying, you can have the airplane fly the approach in single channel mode. What dual channel mode gives you is the ability to fly the airplane down to the tarmac (ILS sensitivity increases as you get closer to the transmitters) and provides the flare pitch mode to automatically flare the airplane based on input from the radio altimeter.
