Hi,I downloaded a repaint of a Lauda Air 737-600 at AVSIM, and installed it to the PMDG 737-600 base using FS-AOM (Addon Manager). In FS-AOM, I set the callsign to "Lauda" in the same way I have done for hundreds of other planes as well.When I start FS9 and select the plane, the callsign that shows up (and is used by FS9) is "Scandinavian". I don't have a Scandinavian 736 installed (I used to, but in the meantime completely de-installed and re-installed my entire PMDG 737NGs). What's worse, when I go to the dropdown menu of callsigns, "Lauda" does not show up, so I cannot select it!What is wrong here? What can I do?

FS Navigator can now create and export Flight Plans for use with the PMDG 737.After creating and exporting a Plan into the FMC we approach our destination and are given a runway by ATC.We select that runway in the FMC and then have the option of choosing a number of STAR's.My query is this: Can we assume that the first STAR on the list is the best one to use for that particular runway and course?Cliff

Topic says all really! I would like to purchase the -800 and -900 to update my PMDG -600/-700, but I am very keen on realism in all aspects, and would just like someone to confirm that the virtual cabin of the -800/-900 is indeed noticably longer inside than the -600/-700? Not to be picky but it would be nice to clear up before I buy! Thanks, Jack.

In the PMDG menu I set the wind display to ON.However, there are times, I don't get any indication at all.Is that because of conflicting weather info: FS9 vs Active Sky vs Ivap?regardsTeeloo

I got PDMG 737NG for an xmas gift. Wow, it's great, but I have a few questions.The 737NG is fairly complex in terms of the default MFS2004. So as I learn through the new systems, etc. I am wondering if there is a way to use the mfs2004 default tracking map and gps during flight (there are no buttons on the panel for these)?Also, are there any FMC tutorials out there besides the one givin in the manual that may have different levels of learning or progression?thanks,James

Hi all,I might be missing out here but I thought I would just ask the question of those who might know.I am new to the PMDG and have done several flights and so far so good. But I have noticed that some runways seem to be missing from the FMC. In particular I was trying to land at LSGG (Geneva) today and all that was listed was runway 23.I ended up doing a visual to runway 5 and wow this bird is great for manual flight.I loaded up my PSS Airbus afterwards and runways 23 and 05 are both listed with the ILS freqs.I checked my nav data and its showing the most recent airac 0501.Anyone able to help me with this one.I do use FSbuild 2 if that has caused a problem. Anybody have any idea what is up with this? When I load a PMDG 737 this is how it loads. It take a very long time. Once in a while it will load normally. Thanks, Joe

Hello i am a current owner og both the 600-700 and 800-900 and i recently lost my files during a moving process and i would like to return things to normal; who should i contact in the right place at PMDG to get all my necessary files to get things going,and also if you guys can tell me what i need as files because it's been a while since i used it last more then six months now. I do not have enough experience to know this one. If operating say a 737NG in any one of the various auto flight modes, due to ambient baro pressure changes and/or wind speed or direction changes, the aircraft will continuously do it's best to stay on path. Doing this may require many yoke, pedal, or trim changes. So in real life, as the aircraft changes pitch. roll, or yaw to correct for these ambient changes, does the yoke actually move about as quickly as in the PDMG 737? Do rlf pilots have to watch out for getting injured by the yoke as it is moving about?I'm thinking that the extremely active yoke (only weather is static download of real weather-even leaving out wind…

Hello all!I am the proud owner of the PMDG 736/7/8/9 and fly it daily. I am having a problem with slowing the aircraft to proper approach speeds. Flight to LAX - The aircraft is on CMD A, VNAV and LNAVFL370 at .80 ATC tells me to descend to FL240. I dial 24000 into the MCP and hit LVL CHG. The nose dips down and I begin my descent. Reaching 24000 the aircraft is still at .80. Shortly thereafter ATC tells me to descend to FL160. Okay, same procedure, but this time after dialing 16000 I change the MCP airspeed to 270 knots and hit LVL CHG. Here's where the problem begins.The aircraft dips only slightly to begin bleeding off the excess speed. This gives me a descent …

I reinstalled my PMDG 737NG software and I am having problems with getting the menu bar displayed. How do you get menu bar to display. I have tried right clicking the screen which brings up the box that "should allow" you to to change from hide menu bar to displaying menu bar at top of the window. It just does not work.Any thoughts please.DK Quarshie

hi im using the 737/700 in fs9 i have configured the aircraft for landing and set the autobrakes to 1,2.or 3 however when i land the autobrakes dont seem to slow me down i have to use manual braking.any help would be appreciated. thanks jim

Hello All,bought 737ng last week and downloaded 800/900 yesterday...great product! In 737ng whilst planning a flight the fmc works out the vnav speeds no problem...after I installed 737 800/900 update the fmc no longer calculates the "autospeeds" for the legs. Any help to get the fmc to start recalculating the speed would be great as it's driving me mad....I'm sure I've missed something basic but please help..Howard

Hi.. Before i go on I have RTFM and i cant find my answer to thisNow i use FSBUILD 2 to make my route for my ATC and my FMC it all good the onlything is that it doesnt do a Approach for me and line me up with the runway it just points me over the runway.....so i thought maybe it u cant do it in FSBUILD so im flying to Chicago for Exsample and i said well the winds are coming from the north so ill land on runway 4R i go to set it up for ILS4Rand activate it now yet it gives me a route to follow for the approach but it not connected to my Route at the moment so i cant land it with auto pliot cause it will not lock on to that route and follow it ive tryed heaps of ways .. di…

Hi all,I was wondering if there are plans to create another PMDG Express plane.Because i really like flying the PMDG 737, but i also like to fly a smaller type, like a Cessna Citation X or a CRJ-200. There are a few good payware producs available, however none of them offers the amount of detail or an FMS system like that can be found in the PMDG 737. Thats why i would like to know if there are any plans for such a type (or maybe i would suggest this ...).Thanks alot for your answer,Matt
